Chapter 3 Meeting Him

She was like a stalker waiting for Armin to appear at this hotel. She heard from her colleagues that their Rivera heir like enjoying his dinner here.

Mavis has been waiting for almost an hour but Armin still didn't appear. She's wearing a waiter uniform trying this to meet with Armin when she remembered her action yesterday didn't end with good.

Whenever she try to meet him they always say Rivera busy. She's not important that Rivera need to see. They're being jerk to her. That was she think.

So tonight will be the moment that she will meet that Rivera. And she will work hard for that. She's lucky when she will serve the important guest.

Armin stared at Mavis was put the dish on the table. He noticed that Mavis always keep looking at him but at the same time avoid when their eyes meet.

Just what is the waiter want? He thought carefully. He stop her from leaving after she done put the dish.

"Miss, is there something that you want?" Armin asked. He really can't stand being watch like monkey in the zoo. That waiter penetrate gazed simply make him uncomfortable.

So the rumours was true when they said that Rivera heir was easily approached than other cold and arrogant CEO. She's been thinking how to start their conversation. This will be their first meeting and she try to keep calm.

Armin keep his eyes on that waiter patiently waiting for the sentence.

"I want to marry you." The sentences that he heard made his shocked. He start to chuckle when thinking about what that waiter just said.

Hearing chuckle from Armin made Mavis flinched. No, you really have to say it.

"I'm serious. I propose you to marry with me."

"Why should I? We even don't know each other." Armin said the facts.

She just blurt what she just think. "Because I'm pretty?"

"Your joke isn't funny miss." Armin said. "You're pretty but there is many pretty woman other than you."

Mavis stand there don't know what to say. She admit that there many pretty woman out there but she really can't think any reason.

"I give you chance to tell me your true reason." Armin leisurely lean on his chair.

"My name is Mavis Aberra. My family business have a problem. We need money so that's why I propose to you."

Armin nodded. He have heard about Aberra's condition. Well he always follow information about the young woman in front of him for a certain reason. "Aberra, Aberra Transport in City S? Okay, I'm pleased with your reasoning."

Are you kidding me? I'm not a schooler. Mavis tried to cover her anger with smile. Did he trick her? She grabbed the glass filled water and gulped it.

"Oh, it seems that I didn't polite with my wife to be. Please sit Berra." He smiled and point chair opposite him.

Berra… he was the first one ever called her with Berra. The names sound cakey to her. Somehow she's wary with Armin's behaviour. But she shake the feeling. This is the best for her family.

"There's condition you need to follow if you want to marry with me." Mavis straighten her back to hear it.

It never took along for they to decide what to do and don'ts. Deep inside her heart she relief that they will register their marriage later. She really need time to prepare to get married.

After they agreed with each other condition, Mavis stand ready to leave.

"Where are you going?" Armin said when Mavis want to leaves.

"Continue my work?" she's answer made Armin speechless.

"Just go." Armin waved his hand indicate for her to leave. "Don't forget that next week will be your first meeting with my parents."

"I know." Mavis leaves Armin. She didn't realize that Armin pull his phone out and called someone.

"Want to hear something interesting?" Armin said when the call was connected.

"Nope." The other one just shortly replied.

"Well, I prepare present for you. Hope you'll like it."

"Don't want it." the called was cut off after the sentence.

It will become interesting. How will they react? Armin really want to know that.

Mavis busy doing her work when she has a call from unknown number. Wondering whether she has to take or not but the called was stopped. She has a habit that she'll never answer the call from unrecognized number.

Afraid that she will be involve for scam. She didn't rich and don't want to lose her money after working hard to get it.

Furthermore she don't want to trouble her uncle to give her money. She has grown up and have energy to work. She want to put her phone back when beep sounds tell that she receive a message.

Mavis quickly opened and read. Her eyes blink repeatly when the text said 'Call me now –Armin'

So that was his number. She saved his phone number and redial it again.

"Why…" she want to ask but couldn't when Armin voice jut cut in.

"Remember tomorrow evening. Palace Hotel." he said and end the call.

That jerk. Mavis really want to swear in front that man face to face. That man's attitude change like chameleon faster than she ever realized.

She try to calm down. Mavis maybe he's busy she try to think like that.

In Armin office.

"That brat." he began yelled when his assistant reporting about the management from his branch.

He sighed. He never feel like this. He just dismissed his assistant and point to leave the report.

What is that brat do? Armin rubbed his temple try ease the dizzy that he feel.

He called Zack and realized that Zack has denied her call made he burnt with fire. He try to call Mavis but miss. When both of them doesn't answer the phone made his wonder are they match made in heaven.

He sent the message and ask Mavis to call him. After his called with Mavis he simply regret it. He just made Mavis like a punching bag. This was all Zack fault.

He decide to leave his office and meet with Zack for explanation. Zack better have good explanation before Armin decide whether he want to beat that brat or not.

After what happen his sweet younger brother has turn to rebel brother made Armin has to strict to try control his brother.
