Chapter 6: The Crypts & The Twins (Part 3: Final)

Hey guys, after this chapter I'll be primarily posting his status and skills into the Auxiliary chapter that I had made when I started this. Sometimes I will post it in the chapter itself but only when I need to, and it'll be updated every 5 chapters or so. Also, from this point on his [Race:] category will no longer contain both Devil and Longinus class sacred gear user. They will be separate. Another thing is in this chapter I will be adding the amount of damage a weapon can do as well as durability.

For example...

I had wanted to make it semi-realistic to where if he hit a vital point (Like how he's been one-hitting zombies and skeletons after stabbing their skulls) they would either die or eventually bleed out. After the last chapter though with his longsword getting stuck in the skeleton's armor as well as him cutting one of the knights in half, I figured I might need to change that. I'd like to get your guys' feedback on this, see how you feel about it.

This is the last thing I wanted to mention, promise. I will be posting the levels for Low-class, Middle-class, High-class, Ultimate-class, Satan-class, and Super-class devils in the auxiliary chapter and the same for the other races. Thx for reading this and enjoy the boss fight.

After completing both the [Preserved Zombies] & [Skinned Hounds] kill quests I began searching for the last [Undead Knight] & the boss room.

With me having cleared most if not all of this labyrinth, I was able to navigate using the [Mini-map] to the remaining paths that I had not yet traveled.

* 8 Minutes Later *

Turning down the last [Mini-map] 'clouded' pathway, my [Mini-map] blips in a dimly glowing red dot down the hallway standing in front of what looks to be a giant wooden door.

Observing it, I can see that it will already be different compared to the rest of its knightly undead. The other knights had only a longsword, this knight also has a shield. Casting [Perverts Gaze] on it I can see that my theory is proven correct.

'It might even pose a challenge!' I think arrogantly.

Casting a quick [Perverts Gaze] onto my longsword I check the durability and make sure that it is ready for our next battle.

[Simple Steel Longsword] - {150 Attck DMG}

Durability: 73/100

When I come within 10 meters of the knight, the knight raises his shield and points his longword towards me from behind the safety of the shield.

From what I can tell his sword is in an inside stance with it being pointed towards me. I take up a guarding stance. Slowly moving towards it, mentally preparing for where & when I will attack. Before I can think much longer, I am forced onto my back foot while blocking a stab intended to puncture my lower left abdomen.

While caught up in my own thoughts, the knight was able to advance and breach the distance gap between us.

Not like being put on the defense I press forward with slashes and stabs one after another, each attempting to find a crack in its defense and breach it. While most of my attacks were easily blocked with its shield, there were several times where if not for its longsword it would no longer be in my way.

Forced onto my back foot again after a wide swing of mine was easily deflected & countered. I get shield bashed directly into my chest knocking the wind out of me, knocking me onto the ground face up.

Rolling left I dodge a downwards strike aimed at my chest and prop myself up on my left knee.

I raise my sword, blocking a downwards slash intent to cut my head off.

'Shit!' I curse in my head. With my arms burning from overuse, I realize I need to finish this fight and fast!

Looking at my still active twice critical on my right forearm I quickly channel energy into it causing it to react.

"BOOST"

With newfound strength and agility, I deflect its blade causing it to stumble backwards, I rush forwards before it can bring its sword to bare and spartan kick the shield.

[Undead Lvl. - 17 <Undead Knight>]

The [Undead Knight] flies onto its back. Its grip on the shield lost, it attempts to rise and continue our battle with its longsword still in hand. In a burst of speed, the undead can barely track I swiftly position myself on top of it with my left foot planted on its sword arm and my right foot planted on its chest, making it unable to move.

Bringing my sword down in a swift slash I sever the spinal cord of the last [Undead Knight] and watch as the head rolls. Remaining perched over the skeletal body I cast [Perverts Gaze] on it, checking to see if it is truly dead.

'Fool Me Once, Shame on You, Fool Me Twice, I Don't Fucking think so!' With my amplified strength I bring my red running shoe downwards, stomping on its head, shattering it and ending its life.

Casting a quick glance at my [HP] and [MP] bar, as well as my sword durability. I prepare to open the door to the boss's room.

Walking forwards I press open the wet, moldy wooden door and walk inside.

The boss room is unlike any other room inside of the crypt, where the rest of the crypt was mainly long hallways with some square rooms that were used for tombs, the boss room is circular in design. A raised walkway leads you onto a center circular platform that is surrounded by 1-2 feet deep water that is being consistently poured in by wall mounted sewage pipes.

Standing in the middle of the circular platform is a massive twin headed, rotted, worm riddled and skin torn Rottweiler. [Perverts Gaze]

Walking onto the walkway I watch as the boss has no immediate reaction to my presence. Shifting into a guarding stance I slowly walk to the end of the walkway where there is a single stair before the mossy cobblestone island that the boss is standing on.

[The Lair of The Twins] - Lvl. 15-20

[Yes] or [No]

Info: Upon pressing [Yes] the boss will immediately react and move to attack you, be prepared to defend yourself.

After a gruesome eight-hour long dungeon grind, with some breaks of course, I am finally ready to kill the boss monster.

Pulling out my dagger from inside my inventory I flip it in to a reverse grip and examine it.

[Simple Steel Dagger] - {85 Attck DMG}

Durability: 47/100

....

With my finger havering over [Yes], I channel my pent-up emotions into the twice critical causing it to glow crimson red for a few seconds before turning back to its previous scarlet red and activating.

"BOOST"

I slam my finger down on [Yes] and sprint forward with Longsword in my left and dagger in my right.

The two heads both snap in my direction, each mouth formed into a ferocious snarl, displaying the beast's rotten decaying K9's. [The Twins] turn their body, brandishing their muscular upper-torso and howl before charging towards me.

"HOWL!!!!"

With the beast nearly in range, [The Twins] brings its massive front right paw to bare and swipes.

Seeing this I form a cross guard block with my sword overlapping my dagger forming an 'X' block. I plant my feet and brace myself.

*CRACK*

"Ugh.... cough!... cough!... fuck." I say coughing up blood.

Instead of blocking the paw swipe and counter attacking I was flung across the room slamming into the mossy cobblestone wall shoulder first, falling into the water below.

Standing up and out of the water I rotate my now dislocated shoulder. Grabbing and holding it in place before slamming it into the wall, righting it back into place.

*SNAP*

"Ahhhh!! Fuck!" I yell in pain.

After checking for any more combat-altering injuries. I reach down grab my two weapons and turn back towards the beast, observing that since sending me flying across the room and into the wall. The beast hasn't moved.

'Weird... Maybe it has something to do with the center island?'

Trudging back towards the platform through the almost knee-deep water, I grip my longsword and dagger tighter making sure that they won't fly from my hands and charge back towards the beast.

Charging forward the beast raises its left paw in preparation for another swipe.

*WHOOSH*

Sliding underneath the swipe I bring my dagger up and slash at the tendons in its left leg and then for good measure stabbing through it with my longsword.

"HOWL!!!!" Howling in pain from the tendons in its leg being severed, the right head descends and latches onto my shoulder flinging me a few meters away.

With my [Steel Warrior Pauldron] protecting me from [The Twins] K9 teeth I take minimal damage.

Pulling the longsword with me when flung, I roll a few times before getting back onto my feet and righting myself into a two-handed long stance. My left hand holding the dagger close in a reverse grip and my longsword in my right pointing at [The Twins].

[The Twins] turns its heads and begins to limp forward. At the opportunity presenting itself I sprint forward. The beast raises its right paw into a swipe motion, using that as a queue I prepare myself to roll underneath it.

*WHOOSH*

Once again, rolling underneath the swipe I turn and stab the dagger into the back of the offending paw, moving to cut the limb off entirely I'm stopped by the paw backhanding me sending me flying into the murky, sludge filled sewage water.

*SPLASH*

I spring out of the water, kneeling over I begin hacking and coughing up sewage water that I had accidentally inhaled when being flung into the water.

"Cough! Cough! Cough... Ah Fuck." Glancing down at my health I begin to worry.

I had not realized how much damage he was doing to me until now.

Looking towards the boss I observe it as it licks the stab wound on the back of his paw that is bleeding profusely.

[Undead Boss Lvl. - 20 <The Twins>]

'All right it's a little below half! Just a little more!'

Getting back onto my feet I grab one of my +250 [HP] potions from my inventory, quickly downing it before walking out of the water and stalking towards the boss.

One of the heads raises to direct its attention towards me while the other one continues to lick the stab wound on its paw. Digging down deep I reach for whatever power that I have left in a final attempt to kill this thing. I break out in a sprint with newfound speed.

The boss's eyes widen at the new development and attempt to bite down on my head when I come in range. Sidestepping the bite, I bring up my longsword in a back stance and swing with all the strength left in my body.

*SCHICK*

*THUD*

The head of [The Twins] that was still licking its wound stops and shifts its gaze onto its other head, that is now separated from its body and laying on the floor in a growing pool of blood.

It throws its head back and howls!

"HOWWLLLLL!!!!"

I quickly brandish my longsword and move to finish the beast by stabbing it in its heart, I am pushed back by a wave of fire that is released from its body sending me on my back and setting my shirt on fire.

Standing up and hitting the fire over and over, getting rid of it. I take in the fresh look of the boss; all I can do is groan in annoyance.

[Undead Boss Lvl. - 25 <The Enraged and Loss Stricken Twin>]

"RESET!"

'Oh... FUCK! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!'

Dashing to the left and dodging a blast of fire, I turn back to face off against the boss, only to see its now red fur and blazing fire ball coming towards me.

Dashing to the right this time I break out into a sprint towards it.

'Why isn't it reacting?!' Continuing to run towards it I figure out why.

With a flick of its Charmander-like tail a wave of fire is sent my way, with me being in a full sprint I am unable to dodge in time. Resulting in me being sent flying, and once again with my shirt on fire.

Smashing into the far wall, I attempt to reach in and grab my second +250 [HP] potion from my inventory but before I can, a massive set of jaws clamp down on my left shoulder.

Wide-eyed I turn to look at the 10-foot tall rottweiler that is now red and radiating flames.

Thinking that my [Steel Warrior Pauldron] would hold, I'm startled and frightened when it uses its newfound flame magic to melt the steel to get access to my skin. The pain I begin to feel brings me to tears and I start to think that this might be the end before I feel that I still have my dagger.

Using the last of my strength I stab directly underneath its chin and into its head. Beginning to relax after I see its enflamed crimson eyes go out... before coming back only brighter!

Pulling back from my shoulder it stands over me and begins to prepare a fireball in its mouth.

I start to cry and think of all the opportunities that I will have missed now since I'll be dead.

'The chance I got to reincarnate with the system of my dreams! The chance to reincarnate into one of my more favorite universes! The chance to become the Red dragon emperor! And the opportunity to touch Oppai!'

(Partner!)

'Huh? Ddraig!'

(Good Job Partner, you've done well by yourself, now we do it together)

'Ddraig... sniff... sniff... Let's do This!'

(Let's go Partner!)

"DRAGON BOOSTER!"

"BOOST"

With newfound strength I leap to the left, dodging the fire blast that turned the wall where I was laying against into ash. Standing back up onto shaking legs I bring my new crimson red gauntlet in front of my face.

"Time to die Mother Fucker." I say barely above a whisper.

"BOOST"

Sprinting forwards and sliding underneath another blast of fire that left my haired singed. I continue running towards the Twin, when in range I smash the boosted gear down onto the leg that I had previously crippled forcing the Twin onto its knees.

"BOOST"

I then chest punch the Twin, caving in its ribs causing it to cough up orange and red colored blood.

The Twin, realizing that it might die turns its head towards the boosted gear, the cause of its pain and lunges for it.

Allowing the Twin to bite down onto the boosted gear was not something done willingly but Ddraig had told me it was that or my head. I chose the boosted gear.

"BOOST!"

(Now! Partner!)

'Got it!'

"EXPLOSION!"

A blinding green light explodes out blinding the Twin, and a yellowish aura erupts from beneath me, surrounding me and giving me power.

I grasp the dagger that is still lodged under its chin and jerk it backward. Resulting in its jaws to be dislodged from the boosted gear. I then grasp the neck of the Twin and squeeze.

"This is for breaking my first and only set of armor you overgrown mut!" I yell.

Crushing its trachea and ending its life. I drop the now lifeless corpse onto the ground and stand there basking in the flames that are still swaying in the background.

"We... huff... did... huff... it... Ddraig"

(We did Partner)

"What... huff... now"

(For now, I suggest you sit down)

"Why?"

(Because due to you pushing past your limits and using explosion, the drain on your body as well as your mind will be immense)

"Oh... yeah you-"

"RESET!"

I dropped to the ground unconscious.
