14 One heart, two souls

(I would be referring Ezen as Adrian because he is in his body currently so don't get confused)

Adrian looked at the mansion from the top of the hill.

It was the only place that was built in this forest.

The Perkins ancestors were from the very powerful bloodline of healers.

They were also one of the people who trapped him in that forbidden forest centuries ago.

If by chance he escaped from that place then it was their duty to put him back inside it again.

But Isabelle couldn't even sense his presence which means she doesn't possess the similar power as her ancestors.

It was good news for Adrian though. Because if Isabelle doesn't have that skill then she is nothing but a regular healer and she can be identified as a human now. That's why she was not the main threat anymore.

Adrian glanced at the window of the mansion and saw that one of the lights of the room was still on which means Anastasia was still awake.

He always used to know that Anastasia was the one who would take him out of his misery.

He would have came out a long time ago if it was not for Isabelle's daughter Claudia moving out of the village making plan fail.

He still tried to get many people to come inside the forest by mind-controlling them but none of them were successful to take him out from there.

That made him so enraged that he decided to trap them all inside that loop by letting them see their worst nightmare so they could know how worthless they were.

But the strange part was that Anastasia opened that underground door very easily. But most of the people struggled miserably while trying to open it.

Looks like she was naturally made to do this thing.

But how?

In the prophecy, he made centuries ago. It was written that the person who will take him out from that sacred door will have very low mana inside their body that can make them sick to death.

But meeting her earlier. She looked very normal to him. Not a pinch of her mana was gone from her body. That made him think like what type of power does that girl even possess?

And the time she healed his hand made him even more shocked. Because as per as he knows that the Perkins bloodline ended years ago when Isabelle's daughter married a non healer person. That means her next generation would not be a part of the healer's clan. If that's the case then how can Anastasia possess that power?

While he was thinking about it. Succubi came towards him and snapped her fingers near his face and chuckled while looking at his stunned face. "What are you thinking about?"

Adrian looked and her tiredly and rubbed his eyes. "I don't know. I am just feeling very uncomfortable with this human body. How do they even live like that?"

Succubi nodded in agreement. "True, then why don't you come in your original form? I mean this body looks hot but your original body has its own charm. I mean your looks even seduce demons of hell. Do you think that the humans are going to resist?"

Adrian unbuttons a few of his shirt's buttons because he felt like choking in it

"You think that I didn't tried? Being trapped in that sacred door made my power go so down that I can't even come in my human form anymore. I am so thankful for my luck that I found this awesome human container who was waiting for me to posses him."

"Yeah, your luck is really good. Then how about we go hunting and get your powers back? Because I am damn sure that you missed eating your favorite human meat. And after you gain more power then it will be easier for you to go back to your original human form."

"No, I am not planning on going in my original form this quickly. Anastasia is already charmed by this body." Adrian said while looking disappointed.

"Who? Anastasia!? Do you mean that old hag's granddaughter? Don't tell me she is the one who took you out from that underground door. And why do you care if she likes this body or not? Are you trying to seduce her?" Succubi got frustrated.

Why is Ezen caring about what a mere human girl likes? Especially if she is related to the Perkin family. She just can't understand him sometimes.

Adrian was disgusted by what succubi just said right now. Is this the only thing she thinks about?

"See, believe it or not. She is the one who took me out of that shit and No, I am not possessing this body to sleep with her. And do you think I am like you? Who will seduce other people and steal their mana? The only reason I want her to be by my side is because I feel like she has a very unique power inside her that could be useful for me in the future. If that's true then I could take my revenge easily."

He started thinking about what succubi said earlier.

The thought of sleeping with anastasia is not that bad. He can even seduce her to get her on his side because he knows that Anastasia is attracted to this body but he decided to stick to his previous method only.

It will be harder for him to manipulate her because she is heavily protected by the heavens. He could feel that just by looking at her aura.

So currently his main goal is to make her trust him so it will be easier to manipulate her into doing whatever he wants.

"Fine then, do whatever you want. But I am sorry to tell you that she might be dead by now. Because if she took you out from that thing then her mana would be low right now. And low mana in any kind of species means instant death. I don't think her healer grandma can do anything about it so don't forget to say goodbye to your new vessel."

Adrian just smirked and looked at her like she is the dumbest person alive. "Do you think I didn't thought about that? You know how much hard work I did just to get her in this village? First I possessed her mother into sending her here and then I mind-controlled her sister into helping  her to get inside the forbidden area and you think that I am going to let her die so easily."

Adrian smiled while looking at succubi's perplexed face. "Okay fine, think about a thing that can stop death from coming towards anyone."

Succubi tried to think about the thing. And realized that the only thing that could stop death to come towards you is the ruby necklace that Ezen has.

So does that mean?

"HELL NO, y-you let her have your soul necklace. Ezen Are you freaking crazy? Your soul is in that thing."

But then she realized the way she just talked to him. No one talks to him that way.

She could feel Adrian glaring at her. If they were in hell right now then he would have executed her right there.

Adrian rolled his eyes and decided to ignore succubi's behavior because he have no other choice than her. The demon army he had. was destroyed by that bastard centuries ago.

Whenever he thinks about that man he wants nothing but to kill him mercilessly.

That's why his only goal is to get revenge against those people.

When Ezen escaped from the forbidden forest. He was so weak that he could not even feel his ability anymore because all demons who come on earth needs to feed on humans every day otherwise it would be very hard for them to survive.

That's why he bounded his soul with Anastasia that time. So he could feed off her mana to survive till long-term but he didn't think at that time that If he bounded their soul together. It can make them feel each other's pain, emotions, and everything.

So if Anastasia died right now. Then his power would go so down that he would have no choice other than to go back to hell again. And if he went to hell again then it would be impossible for him to return.

Even though Anastasia was looking normal at that time but what if she suddenly died afterward. He didn't wanted to take any risk and regret later. that's why he decided to give his soul necklace to her and used his power to keep the necklace hidden from other people.

So from now, he will try his everything on keeping Anastasia alive
