15 Old acquaintance
"Whatever, tell me the details of this body and why were you trying to kill the original host?Because I could only possess people who are either sad or scared. So was he scared of you that time?"
"Actually about that." While she was talking with him. Succubi felt a human presence around them and her instinct told her to hide because the person who is around her could not see her because she was in her demon form now but Ezen was in Adrian's body and people could see him. If anyone saw him there then they can put him in jail because of entering in the forbidden area.
"Ezen we need to hide. Someone is coming this way." She clenched his hand tightly and used her power to make them invisible.
Adrian was confused and looked in the direction succubus was looking and saw an old man coming towards them.
The old man was hesitant before entering in this place because the news of this place of being haunted was very famous in this town.
If it was not for his boss's order then he would have not even looked at this place but he couldn't disobey his boss's command.
The old man checked around the area and while trembling and took out a phone from his pocket.
"Sir I checked around all the area and there is no one over here. If all work here is done then can I go home now because my shift is over?" The old man asked the person he was talking with on the phone.
The old man's face brightened after hearing the response from his boss. "Thank you so much Mr. Richardson and I hope you have a great night."
After hearing Mr. Richardson's name. Adrian remembered about the person and felt that he have had a conversation with him before.
Ronan Richardson was currently this village's mayor. But Ezen met him when he was just in his twenties. Ronan was the first person who summoned him 40 years ago when he was still trapped inside the forest.
Based on hell's rules, if anyone ever summoned a demon successfully then the demon must appear around them instantly, even if they might be in any bad condition. The hell's power will teleport them towards their summoner.
But the question was that Ezen was not some kind of normal demon who anyone could summon.
Then how did Ronan know about him?
Most of the people sell their soul or their bodies to demons but Ronan sold his whole family's life in exchange for money.
Ezen knew that how greedy he was. But it was a good thing for him only. if Ronan is so crazy for money then he can manipulate him to do anything he wants.
Ezen accepted his favor while thinking about his own benefit at that time.
But Ronan didn't stop there. Next, he wanted to be this village's mayor.
For that Ronan promised that he will give human sacrifice to him every week.
Even Ezen had no reason to deny his offer. because he was getting really weak while being trapped there. So he accepted it and made him the village's mayor.
For years he was getting his sacrifice every week as the deal stated, but then everything stopped.
Ronan stopped giving sacrifice to him anymore. Making his powers go weak again.
But then he found out the reason behind it.
He learned that Ronan had joined his hand with Isabelle.
As per her order, Ronan decided to ban anyone from entering the forbidden forest. And started rumors that if anyone went there then they will get cursed to death and also get heavily fined for entering a restricted area.
It was all Isabelle plan to keep people away from him for their safety.
She knew that Ezen would try to manipulate people into releasing him from that sacred door that's why she thought it will be better if people stay away from that place.
But Isabelle didn't know that even though Ezen's powers are weak now but still he could mind control people into coming into that forest.
At that time Ezen vowed that if in the future he came out of that place then those two would be the first person he would love to kill.
After his boss hung up the call. The old man wasted no time and ran away from that place.
The old man pleaded that he will never return to this place again because of fear of getting cursed.
After seeing the old man running away succubi decided to catch him and started heading towards him.
But Ezen stopped her from doing that while holding her arm tightly.
That made succubi annoyed. "Ezen, let's kill that old man, he is working with that asshole Richardson who betrayed you.."
Adrian raised his eyebrows at her. "How do you know about Ronan betraying me? Were you stalking me all that time?"
Succubi gave him a coy smile. "You thought that your people abandoned you Ezen. No, we didn't. Even though we couldn't talk to you. We still cared for you."
"And yes, I did stalk you, so what? I did this thing for your safety only." Succubi said while looking at Adrian's cold face. "This situation would have never occurred if you would have just listened to me that time."
Hearing succubi mentioning the past. Adrian's face became ugly and he started walking away from her.
"EZEN STOP!" Succubi screamed out with the top of her lungs but Adrian didn't stop.
"Fine then, go if you want to. But if you went now then forget about knowing information about this body."
Hearing that Adrian stopped.
Even though he was mad currently. He had no other option but to listen to succubi. His powers were not fully back yet. So it would be troublesome to waste his power just to find information about Adrian's body. He don't even have much time left.
Thinking about it he started going back towards succubi again. "Fine! But if you started talking about useless things again then I will rip your throat apart."
Even though Adrian was threatening her. She just looked at him and gave him a dazzling smile and said in a low tone. "Alright."
Adrian sat on the nearest rock because his legs started paining suddenly. He lifted his jeans and saw a big red scratch on his leg.
Looking at his wound succubi bowed her head while being guilty. "Umm, I did that thing."
She glanced at Adrian and saw him looking at her dumbfounded.
"Well, it's not my fault. I was just trying to seduce him so I could steal his mana. But I don't know how he found out about me being a demon. I tried so many things to make him calm down but he didn't listen to me that's why I stabbed him in the leg."
Adrian was very disinterested while she was talking. He just stared around the forest but
soon got fed up. "Succubi stop it! Did I ask you about this wound? then why are you blabbering nonstop? Just tell me about the information about this body and get over with it."
"I am sorry, let's get straight to the point. So the thing I want to say is that Adrian is Ronan's child."
"What!?" Hearing that Adrian standed up while forgetting about the pain in his leg.
"Are you freaking serious? Say that again." Adrian said with disbelief. Because as per he knows that Ronan only had 2 daughters from his previous marriage. If that's the case then where did Adrian came from?
"Adrian was a product of an extramarital affair Ronan had with a nun. He manipulated her into falling in love with him but after she became pregnant with Adrian. Ronan decided to abandon her with the baby because of the fear of being slandered by the villagers." Succubi explained. "Even after everything, the nun still insisted on keeping the baby which led her on leaving the church. She gave birth to the baby successfully but died while childbirth. That's why Adrian's childhood was mostly spent in the orphanage." The boy really had tuff childhood.
"Ronan knows about Adrian's existence but he never acknowledged him as his son and he also attempted on killing him various times but failed."
Adrian was not surprised after listening about Ronan's scandal. He looked at succubi and sighed. "There is no difference between humans and the demons. Tried to kill his own child? Looks like he has a special place in hell."
"But I don't think it's too late for sending him there now. What do you say?" Succubi told while picking up a sharpy stick from the ground.
Adrian squinted his eyes at her. "What do you mean?"
Succubi gave an affirmative smile and advised him on following her. "Come with me."
