9 Got trapped into the loop

I opened my eyes and found myself in a very weird place that looked like I am inside of a cave.

I fell from the top and landed in this underground dungeon.

Who made this thing anyway? It's none of my business to know that.

All I need is to get out from this place and return to my house. Otherwise if grandma found out that I am here than I am going to be in bigger trouble than this.

I should have just checked where i was stepping before running. That's why you should never be in rush while doing anything.

I am regretting all of my life choices now.

I wish I would have just stayed there and have not been nosy about other people's business.

I would have been sleeping peacefully now in my room.

but guess what?

I am so dumb that I entangled myself in this stupid mess that I should not even be part of.

Maybe the girl who I saw in the forest was telling the truth only. That my choices are gonna screw my future.

But what future?

I am stuck in this stupid tunnel of the forbidden area that was abandoned for centuries.

If I came out then I am going to be in trouble and if I didn't come out then I am still going to be in trouble. Whatever I choose, I am no doubt going to be in a big problem.

I touched my head and felt something sticky on it.

Is it a blood? I knew it this was gonna happen.

First, my arm got injured and now my head.

Why do I always get in situations like this?

I should have not listened to Emily's plan and should have gone in the morning like i decided. But no, it is my fault only.

Thinking about Emily I remembered. "Where the hell is the walkie-talkie?" If I connect with her maybe she can tell grandma to come to get me.

I don't care if she screams at me. Now all I want is to get out from here alive and I am ready to do anything for it.

I looked down and saw my bag and walkie-talkie on the ground. I have bandages in my bag. I will put them on my wounds after I find my way out.

I took the walkie-talkie and wiped it off with a handkerchief because all the soil of the ground was in it.

I tried to on it several times. but it didn't worked.

I guess it's broken or maybe it doesn't get signal underground. I don't know about that. but I am not going to lose hope yet. Mom always used to say that if there is a will then there is a way.

I am going to find my way till home from here.

The tunnel is too big maybe there a people living in it. Because in the morning, Emily said she heard a scream from inside it.

Maybe it is from some human being living in here.

People might be living here like they show in television. All I need to do is ask for their help.

Maybe I am going to regret it later. But I can't just sit here and do nothing. It's better than doing something than nothing.

I am not scared anymore, because I still have my phone with me which has GPS in it. Because of it anyone could track me down from anywhere. That's why i just need to believe in myself.

I was going deeper inside the tunnel. It was getting very dark as I was going.

But thanks to my flashlight I could see at least something.

Suddenly I heard a whisper coming from somewhere. "Is she a human?" That voice stunned me for a second.

The whisper was so low that I couldn't hear it clearly but that was a jackpot for me.

So my doubt was truth. Someone is living in this underground spot. Maybe the person can help me.

"Is someone here? Please answer me. I need help and it's an emergency." I screamed but all I could hear is my own echo.

I heard a noise of footsteps running towards the opposite direction from me. That's why I started following them.

And guess what?

I caught the person.

It was a lady. I couldn't see her face properly because she was faced in different directions. But her dress looked like people of the Victorian era used to wear. Like the corset, full skirt, bonnets, and petticoat.

Do people in this village still dress like this.?

Before when I called her she kept running but when I told her that I can see her. She suddenly stopped running.

I went towards her and held her arm. Huffing like crazy because of running so fast. "Please can you help me? I need to get out from this tunnel. Is there any way out?"

Then she turned around at me that made me see her face.

She was pale like a vampire and had red lips. but we can't judge someone by their appearance right?

I waited for her response.

But the woman was staring at me up and down like I am some kind of ghost or something.

I mean I might be thinking the same thing about her but who cares?

The lady opens her mouth to speak something.

"Looks like you are another pitiful thing who arrived here. How are you still alive?" The woman looked at me with disbelief. "Any way you won't stay alive for too long. Welcome in the loop. There is no escape from here. You are always gonna be stuck in these cycles."

What is this woman talking about?

I am here trying to find the exit and this woman.

Oh wait! I just remembered something grandma told earlier.

"The people who were so unlucky to go inside the gate, never came back again and were forever trapped in the loop."  This word started echoing in my mind and I started having chills.

I was scared but the woman said something which gave me a weird consolation. "Don't make face like that. You can have a chance. If you came out alive from the door over there. You can escape this place. But if you didn't then don't even think about escaping." She patted me on my shoulder and started leading me towards a room.

Don't tell me inside they kept a serial killer who is going to decide about my death and living.

If there is someone inside. If yes then I am ready to throw hands at them.

I have learned few self-defense techniques that can save me. if this is going to be a battle of survival then I am even ready to kill someone. but I hope I don't need to do that.

But how long is this woman trapped in here?

Should I ask her about it?

When I was going to open my mouth to ask her about that.

She handed me a key and looked at me with blank expression like she had no soul inside her.

I felt like she was empty and someone was controlling her like a toy. I could be wrong about it. But it turned out to be true when I saw her pupils turning white.

I was this close to screaming by seeing that but I tried to control myself. The woman who was standing before me suddenly vanished into the air without saying anything.

What the hell happened just now?

The moment I entered this village lot of bad things are happening to me.

It has not even been my one day staying here and I started seeing ghost again. First in the forest and now here also.

I looked at the key that the woman gave me.

She said that if i come out alive from this door than I can escape from here.

Am i making a bad decision again? That doesn't matter anymore because i don't have any other way to go.

So all i have to see is what is waiting for me inside this door?

Is it going to be a danger or a key to my freedom?
