Chapter 2 (I'll think of better names I just can't rn)

"Welcome, you are to face court soon." The 'person' said. The 'person' looked nothing like a person. He or she, well, it, looked more like a devil. I couldn't tell what the gender was, and I was better than that to go assuming someone's or something's gender. I walked passed it, giving them a weak smile, given the state I am in. Or should I say, was in. I walked through the large castle doors, and I was met with yet another devil-like being holding a clipboard and pen. However, this one was not so friendly.

"Name." It said in a rude tone. Without thinking, I replied, "Arianna Everton." Somehow that name rang a bell to me, but I couldn't catch on why.

"Go through." The being sighed. "Next!"

I walked through, walking with caution, yet still admiring the antiques in the place. I soon bumped into someone, and this time, they actually looked like a human. Except with a crown on his head. Oh no, I thought to myself. I am in deep trouble.

"Oh, terribly sorry, sir." I said as I curtsey deeply in front of him.

"No, that's quite alright, now wake up, Arrabella dear, wake up!"

"Wake up?" I responded surprised. I suddenly wake up with a jolt, to find people crowding around my hospital bed. "I… had….a-another…..one." I panted.

"Another what?" Asked one of the doctors kindly.

"Fla-flashback." My heartbeat quickly slowed back down, returning to normal, in which meaning I could talk properly too.

"I had another flashback." I said again, slowly. One of the doctors pushed through the others, attempting to try and talk to me.

"Miss Schwartz, do you recognise from when you had this flashback?" She asked me.

"Actually, I don't." I responded calmly. The doctor thought for a moment before talking to me again.

"That's it. My suspicions have been undoubtedly confirmed. You have been bathed in the river of Lethe. You are on your second life." Without thinking, I said, "Sorry doc, but I already knew that when I had the flashback." I shrugged.

"You-you did?" The doctor stuttered. I nodded calmly. The doctor looked shattered, as she had found something once proved impossible, to be already found by another person, in this case, is the victim. Me. The information seemed to be a lot for the doctor to take in.

"O-ok." The doctor then quietly shuffled away, not saying another word. The other two doctors also exited the room to attend to other patients. I finally had time to myself, well at least for a minute before Jessica barged in, interrupting my peace and quiet.

"Arrabella!! Guess what?!" She cried out excitedly

"Hmm, let me guess, you found out that human life on other planets exists?" I said sarcastically.

"No, silly, if I had found that out, I wouldn't be here talking to you right now."

"Good point, Jess. Now what were you so desperately trying to tell me…?" I said with one eyebrow raised.

"Mum and Dad are in town!! They've come to see you because of the accident!" As soon as Jessica said those words, I began having another flashback.

"No, no, no, no! Not again!" I soon heard sirens and I was lying on a bed in an ambulance. I tried to open my eyes, but they seemed to be firmly shut, refusing to open my eyelids. I tried to murmur anything, but my mouth wouldn't open. It was like I was dead. Except I was just barely alive. Just as quickly as it came, I opened my eyes to see Jessica standing before me, grinning, as if she didn't notice I was gone for a few minutes. She must've just thought I had zoned out on her or something like that. I didn't want to worry her, so I continued listening to her as if the flashback never happened.

"I know you're not too keen to see them but-"

"Are you kidding me?! Ever since they left for that, that, 'business trip' of theirs, I've been waiting for them to come back, and I was waiting for 6 whole months, Jess! I obviously want to see them!!" I cried out angrily. "Even though I know they don't care about me, I still want to see them!!" Tears began streaming down my face. "Get out, Jess, just get out!" Without saying another word, Jessica ran off. I thought to myself, I guess no one cared for me anyways. It was just for show. That night, I decided that once I was discharged and ready to go home, I would run away, and never come back. Well, after I saw my parents, and gave them a piece of my mind. The next morning, I was surprisingly, alone.

"Finally, some peace and quiet!" I cried out, relieved. Not even Jess was there. But now, that I finally had some privacy, it felt weird. All the doctors no longer huddling around my bed, no Jessica acting so worried about me, it definitely felt bizarre. Without thinking, I looked around the room, and saw a machine that kinda looked like a torture device. Not that it was, I'm assuming. Suddenly, thoughts flooded my head. What if it was? What does it do to me? But I knew that all of these questions were my subconscious talking, not me. Still, the thought scared me. I lay back down onto my bed, and soon enough, my parents barged in. Yay. Not.

"What do you want?!" I snapped.

"We just wanted to see you, Arrie! Why are you talking to us like that?" My excuse-of-a-mother said to me.

"Don't call me that! You know what? Don't even bother, I don't care. Leave my room. Just leave!" My eyes starting pouring tears. My parents didn't move. I got up and pushed them out of the door as hard as I could, but it was no use. I screamed at them to get out and they ran. All the way to the closest doctor's office. Great. I tried to close the door, but the doctor came in 'just' in time, and pushed against the door in an attempt to try and open it.
