Chapter 23: Carnage

"Ahhhhhhhh!!!"

Bloodshed issue in the forensic center ,the guards to subdue the corpses but their gun was deemed ineffective. The three walking corpses killed all they see,their unnatural strength and speed allowed them to kill anyone that was running around ,blood flow out their guts as they walk forward slowly.

Panic and fear render the people in the center catatonic and unable to do anything.

As the carnage continues ,more and more policemen came to respond on the emergency , but the panicking people hinder them to confront the creatures ,which now have killed quiet a number of people inside the building.

A ringing sound take out their attention to the strange bug.

The elder officer was the one to take it.

after a while of of speaking in the phone , a serious expression appeared on his face.

" What happened?"

asked the professor as he saw the expression of the officer

" The bodies of the victims have came back to life and killing people right now , my men have already responded to subdue the creatures but it seems that guns don't work on them"

Hearing this the professor hold his chin and grimace

" Looks like we have something troublesome to face"

He said

" What do you mean ?"

asked the officer

" It appears that that insect didn't control the corpse for food , it for reproduction."

" Wha-? you mean it lade it's eggs on the victims bodies ? "

His face showed an expression of disgust as he imaging the thing laying it eggs.

" That right, asked your men to aim for the head ,the bug should be in it to control the central nervous system of the corpses ,tell them to make sure to kill the bug. This situation is really troublesome,"

" what do you mean?"

the professor look at him meaningfully he then remove his coat and started talking .

" Due to its appearance and it ability, we can assume that this bug is a corpse gu"

Marissa which was in daze in the side was woken up as she heard the professor started to explain. She pulled out a pocket notebook and started to write as she listen.

" Corpse gu are artificially bred bug, usually use by people on the south east Asia , particularly in china and Indonesia. It was done in a method called kodoku , but in this case they use corpses to breed the bugs instead of a poison jar."

" So what make it troublesome, we can just kill the bugs , because you know ,they are just bugs"

said the officer

" Ha!yes we can kill the bugs ,we can also kill the eggs but that's not the point of gu. The point is there is someone that breed it and that some is controlling the bugs!"

" What , so there's a culprit behind this walking creatures.!?"

" Yes "

" So how can we find them !?"

" How would I know !?"
