Chapter 17: Decision

"So then my father decided that we should be on guard all the time-, are you even listening?"

Julia called out noticing that her friend was in dazed.

"H-huh? Ah yes yes I'm listening , yeah bear and such "

Marissa answered.

*Sigh*

" I said that 30 minutes ago , your really not listening"

said Julia putting down her drink.

" Oh?"

" Alright ,what the matter?"

asked Julia .

" Nothing, just- "

" Just~?"

" Forget it , it's nothing "

answered Marissa while closing a thick document on her lap.

" come-on , tell me!"

Said Julia .

Due to her friend urging Marissa replied.

" Alright, I'm thinking of shifting to other course"

*Slam*

" What!?"

A huge shock appeared on the Julia's face.

" You don't need to have a reaction that extreme,its not that big of a deal"

Said Marissa startled by the sudden slam of her friend

" Ah- Yes it is! First of all it only have been month since the begining of classes and you have already in a good environment, you have friends of same interest , we have already made groupies and didn't you say that your dream was to become a renown biologist , were you going to abandon that dream?"

Said Julia with rising emotions.

" No! Im still going to be a biologist, and like you said its only been a month so its not a big issue"

explained Marissa.

" Wha- ? that's wrong!"

" What ?"

*Inhale ~

*exhale*

After taking a deep breath Julia asked.

" Ok , you said your going to leave zoology to shift to a different course"

" Uh-hum"

" and now you will say that you will still be a biologist"

"Uh-huh"

" Are you looking down on my intelligence!?"

asked Julia with heat.

" Calm down ok , the reason I said that is because I'm just going to shift to a different course of biology!"

explained Marissa. This calmed down Julia.

" Oh ? Like marine biology?"

Asked Julia while sipping on her drink.

" no, Ancient Biology"

" dinosaurs?"

asked Julia with confusion.

"N-No, ancient mythology creature.."

Marissa answered in a low voice.

" Oh like unicorn and stuff "

" Uh hum"

Hearing that answer Julia paused and look at her friend in a complicated expression.

" Are you going nuts !? have you been smelling gasoline or something ,no maybe your insomnia has been really severe and have already damage you brain, do you fell alright?"

" I'm ok, I have already recover !"

Said Marissa but a hint of embarrassment can be heard on the undertone.

Its been a month since she was afflicted by the spirit on her apartment. After the incident her sleeps get more frequent but later return to regular and her body became healthier than before.

She then contacted her land lord about what happen but she gain no response from them so she thought of reporting to the police about the incident. The professor stop her and prevent her from reporting to the police and just promised that he will handle the aftermath. This was strange for Marissa but she just decided to comply.

Afterward,the professor told her that the building was not actually a rentable building and was actually an abandon apartment complex apparently. She thought that she need to ove out but the professor said that she can still live on the building and tht he already handled everything.

Thinking back , there's a lot more strange thing that she can't explain yet on that incident but she divided to let it go.

After getting better ,she resume going to get classes. But her mind were always being swayed somewhere else and today she decided to just follow it.

She Pulled out a document with a lot of written information on it. The document have the first four page of as a questionnaire about her personal information and the rest was just a long list of rules and regulations. She read it and was out cold after a few page.

"Sigh~"

With a sigh she collected her things and stand up from the chair of the cafeteria, she then wave goodbye to her ranting friend and then she left.
