Chapter 1: Peter Rubio

On an urban university in the middle of a certain city , students of different stature was walking around. They are all in a frantic frenzy, normal to see in the beginning of a new school year ,especially now that a bunch of freshman were admitted to the campus. This adds a bit of chaos as many young adults go around checking , finding , and chattering before the class starts.

Contrary to the chaotic hallways and general area of the university a lone building on the back of the campus is quiet ,really quiet infact.

Inside this building is a lab. The lab is clean and sterilized , different tools and equipment decorated the drawers and tabletop around the premise ,shelves of different substances and specimens are arranged neatly.

But if you look closely ,something strange may surprise you. For inside the jar full of formalin solution, are not the normal specimens you will see on a lab .

Instead of frog and lizard or insects and organs , you will sea creatures that appear to be like a compound of different species.

A frog with turtle shell.

Bat with a lizard tail.

Crow with three eyes and legs.

But as you look more closely it become more strange.

A insect a sized of a thumb with two sets of wings but appear to have a miniature humanoid as it's body.

A bat sized of a basketball covered with black fur and have fangs inches long, razor sharp and menacing.

And an infant , black with webs of veins and have red scary eyes .

All have been preserve so expertly that they may jump out of the jar and ravage the one observing it.

If you look around the lab more. You will see a man in a coat, reding a book while sitting in front of table full of materials with strange titles .

But the most strange is the book his holding. It's a leather bound book with dark lettering on its front ,reading

Records of those who Hides.
