325 Bundle of Thorns

The vast expanse of rock that was the Scorpion fortress was looking pretty worse for wear these days. With several holes riddling it from the ground up, and the addition of the large one Typhon just made with [Earth Magic], it was now smoking from some parts.

In the rolling plume of dust that emerged, the nestlings were free to enter the gateway he created, but they were interrupted by some scorpions coming outside to meet them head on. Typhon continued giving them signals from a distance, as they engaged them head on. 

[Is something wrong? You're very quiet.] He asked me, as another section of rock crashed down on a group of scorpions swarming by the entrance, adding to the pile of those already dead.

Hmm.

I shook my head. |[It's probably nothing.]|

I couldn't shake the sense that it was all too…easy.
