Chapter 13: Hehehe!

"Damned beast, aren't you busy? Why not leave me alone?" shouted Z.

He was running downward hoping to reach the ground. But the mountain was absurdly high. He was running at full speed for 10 minutes now, yet the color of trees or land did not even change. It is worth noting that he is significantly faster now than before.

"I will, after I tear you to shreds" shouted the beast.

'I need a way to get out of this'

'Think Z, think'

'Haha!' He remembered that the spiders then stopped chasing him after he entered another part of the forest. He concluded that it was because another beast was ruling that part of the forest hence preventing weaker beasts from entering.

Z desperately looked for other parts of the forest. He saw one on his left. The trees there were covered with a white thing and the ground was also white, different from his current area which looks like an ordinary forest.

"Bastard, there is nowhere to run"

"If there is nowhere to run then where am I running right now?" he rebutted

"You--I'm gonna kill you"

Z finally entered the forest covered in white. The temperature here is low. To his surprise the beast still pursued him.

"You damned beast! Stop following me!"

"Hiss!" the sound reverberated throughout the forest

A gigantic head poke out of the thick trees.

"You green (green signifying young) mantis-hiss, how dare you come to my fores-hisst" said the concave head

"You earthworm, do not interfere with my business, I am going to kill that kid"

"How dare you call me that!" "Ice Element: True Release: Breath of Ice"

Ice shot out of the mouth of the concave head towards the green beast.

"World Energy: Manifest: Wall" shouted the green beast.

"Wow!" Z couldn't help but be amazed by the showcase of power. This is his first time seeing anybody else use power. Even the old man didn't demonstrate anything to him. He also did not know what the Ice Element was, which left him wondering.

But even amidst shock, he did not neglect to get away from the fight.

The manifested wall turned into ice as it was hit by the breath.

"How dare you stop me! I am gonna kill you" shouted the green beast.

"Let us see who'll kill who!"

The beast with a concave head moved out of the thick trees and revealed a slim body with no arms or feet. It slammed its tail into the ground in front of it "Ice Element: Conjure: Vanguards"

A ring of ice expanded from where the tail originally slammed, outward. Then three ice sculptures were made. Its upper body resembles a human holding a giant shield while its lower body resembles that of the concave headed beast.

"Tsk, child's play" "World Energy: Permeate: Gigantomachy"

The body of the green beast grew larger as it emitted Green energy around.

"A green stage beast!" exclaimed Z

The green beast which is now the size of the concave headed beas leaped towards it.

"Ice Element: Manifest: Frozen Ground"

The land under the conjured vanguard froze. The three originally small vanguards grew to the size of the green beast. I seemed to absorb the ice that was supposed to freeze the ground.

The exchange lasted only for a few seconds but the total balle lasted for an hour. At the end both of the beasts fell and died.

"As smart as humans my ass. You just gave me cores to enhance my strength"

Z tore open the body of the fallen green beast, and there he found a green core.

"Hehehe!"
