Over the Summer

Coach Butler was sitting across the table from Jason in his parent's apartment. He slid some papers to him across the table "Like I told you previously.

Although we can't offer a lot of the financial incentives that some other schools are willing to immorally offer you, what I can offer is a bigger say in how things are ran.

This is only because I spoke to your middle school coach. Mr. Swendel had nothing but praise for how you helped to shape Jefferson into what it is now.

And although it was hard to believe at first, he swore on everything important to him that all of the team's miraculous development had to be credited to you.

I can offer you my guidance with skills training and physical development, and I'll also give you my input on the coaching end of things.

But as for what kind of offense we'll run, our defensive schemes, the plays we'll use, you'll be right there with me in deciding all of that.
