16 Another stack of papers

After Xia Liena's little speech, no one dared to talk in the table. Her family was afraid that they will laugh out aloud once they opened their mouth to talk while the other two were simply too embarrassed and tongue-tied to even utter a word against her. And they dare not insult her, knowing that she held absolute power over the clan and that she could kick them out of the Xia family mansion any minute.

After finishing the dinner, Xia Liena did not wait for her family. She went straight to her bedroom. She was dead tired. She did not have enough rest since she just finished her mission. Therefore, she was knocked out cold the moment she laid on the bed.

Liena did not wake up until nine in the morning which was unusual for her. She never woke up so late ever since she joined the military camp. Waking up groggily in the early morning, she sat on the bed recalling her moments with her family the previous day. She was delighted. Changing her attitude towards her family may have possible changed the past to a better ending or worst. She hoped its the former. But Xia Liena knew that she won't give up without a fight if he family encounter any danger in this life.

Taking a shower and changing into a better clothes, she decided to go to Glory world to continue the work from the previous day. Donning a burgundy pants that reached her ankle with black shirt paired with a burgundy blazer, Liena left her face free of make up but applied a baby pink lip gloss of her lips which complimented her skin tone. Though she was already rather tall, combined with the burgundy five inch high heels, her already long legs looked even longer. She was not that interested on wearing accessories. But to finish off her look, she chose to wear a pair of maroon studs that looked like it was a set with the anklets she wore on her ankles. Finally, she wore her Patek Phillippe's watch which remained her favorite ever since she bought it.

After gazing at her reflection on the mirror with satisfaction, Xia Liena went to Xion's room only to find him sleeping like a baby above Lian who was clearly struggling to breathe even in his sleep. Seeing this heartwarming but hilarious scene, Xia Liena took a picture and set it as her lock screen while she continued to giggle at her twin brothers. She wished she could join them as well but duty calls.

She wasn't so heartless enough to disturb the moments between the brothers. If one of them died while either suffocating or after being beaten up by the other one, she wouldn't be held responsible. Gently walking with extreme caution towards the rather classy looking table, she fished out a Post-it note to order Xion to come to the company once he finished cuddling his brother. Liena was certain that Xion will become infuriated to the latter part of the sentence than to the former. He, who was considered to be one of the eligible bachelor in the whole of the country, will not be able to admit the fact that he was hugging or rather suffocating his brother to death for a whole night. And for sure, even if he does not want to come to the company, he will definitely come there just to argue about this statement.

With great satisfaction on finishing what she came for, Liena set off from the house without much hassles. When she arrived at Glory World, the company was already buzzing with employees. The news of her return was already spread through the company through their group chats and forum and the employees were expecting some surprise visits to their departments. In their words, if their she-devil boss knew that they were slacking off during her absence, they would be punished heavily or worse, get fired. Though for some employees it might seem that getting fired is not much big of an issue, Glory World holds the position of one of the most influential company in the country with its branches stretching out to different foreign continents. To be fired out of such company is equal to losing the opportunity to work in major companies for the rest of their life. Unless the company wants to offend Glory World, no one in their right mind would hire them.

Without sparing a look at her employees, Liena confidently strutted towards the presidential elevator. Pressing the very last flour on the whole building, she patiently waited for the elevator and got on it as the elevator opened with a soft, almost inaudible bell sound. Within a minute, she was at the top floor facing all five of her secretaries. Of Course, knowing that her personal assistant is roaming around somewhere in the same floor, she dared not stay anywhere in his vision and directly escaped to her office after greeting her employees.

Though it seemed like she completed a lot of paperwork the previous day, she was again welcomed with another huge stack on her table when she entered the office. Once again, Liena couldn't help but curse her twin in her mind and mentally kick him Saturn.

Resignedly, she walk to to her desk and started doing the papers one by one. Seconds passed. Minutes passed. And so did the hours. After sorting out half out the stack, she lifted her head to look at the time only to realize that it was long past the lunch time. Though she couldn't feel the hunger while she was working, the moment she relaxed herself a little, she found herself in extreme hunger. Fortunately for her, on the corner of the table was a lunch box left behind by her assistant, Qi Chengzhi, at some point of the day which she didn't notice. Inwardly praising him for his attentiveness, she happily started eating the fried rice left by him.

Just as she was eating her lunch, her brother stormed into the room with a rather furious expression on his face. Seems like he did read the note.

As expected, he was infuriated but one thing that made her furious looking at the comical face in front of her is that this guy had been sleeping till evening while she had to work even harder than a regular employee because this idiot of her brother chose to slack during the work time. If it wasn't for him, she wouldn't have to suffer so much.

She slowly set aside the now empty bowl, and directly lifted her head to glare straight at his eyes. Seeing such deadly aura and stare from his sister, Xion soon forgot the reason for his anger and immediately became the most obedient puppy in front of his owner. Just as she was about to open her mouth to issue punishment for this guy, she was suddenly faced with an attack of one of the most cutest, tearful puppy dog eyes from the one and only top international idol, Xion.
