Adrienne watched as her husband loaded Noah's belongings into the car. Their son was now seventeen, and Noah decided to stay in the dormitory of the exclusive school he was attending in Jinling. She couldn't help but feel sad thinking about an empty nest because he was the last of Lennox's siblings to leave their home.

"Mom, don't be sad. I'll still come home for weekends and school breaks." Noah wrapped his arms around her and gave her a reassuring squeeze.
