"You look sick. You shouldn't have come here if you're not feeling well, Addie." Lennox said as he watched Adrienne take the vacant seat across from him.

Adrienne poured herself a cup of tea and glanced at the man before her. Lennox's expression today was exceptionally cold, his lips pressed into a thin, firm line. She wondered who made him angry this time.

"I'm fine. Nothing that a good sleep can't fix." She paused and looked around. "Has Samantha returned from school?"

Lennox stared at her momentarily, thinking about all the scandals and evidence he and Gavin had collected against the Jiang family. As he read through the documents, he couldn't help but think a young woman like her shouldn't be suffering like that.
