Hearing his grandmother's involvement in the car accident made Lennox feel sick to his stomach. His grandmother had been passive and never participated or supported any of her children regarding the succession of the family business. His grandmother spent most of her time running the massive household of the Qin family and keeping the peace within the family with her gentle intervention. 

Lennox wondered how she could do this to her son and grandson. Did she anticipate that the accident would take his father's life, too? It was hard for him to take in, and Adrienne could see the pain he was feeling. 

Lennox would always return to the Zhao family estate at night for the next few days to be with Adrienne. Even his mother-in-law noticed the sudden change on his part and commented on how he was silent and depressed these days.
