Talk with God

I am Arata Jimmu and, only a few moments ago, I was nothing more than an average man, working an average job and living an average life. I mean, I was not much more than a disgrace to society. I was that one guy your mother used as a bad example to show you how you end up when you start to skip classes or refuse to go to a university. Yeah, I am not proud of myself. Looking back at my life, I should have said no to the after-work beer much more frequently or, maybe I shouldn't have taken my supportive Parents as given. But as the illness that plagued me all my life final choose to end me, all of my missteps were nothing more than funny occurrences. I wanted to cry, but I was only able to laugh at my miserable life. When the light lost more and more brightness, I was about to sink into darkness forever. But suddenly, someone took me by the hand and pulled me back into the light. Something felt different. Yeah, the light was way warmer than the cold glare I was used to from the small lightbulb in my little room in the hospital. And after I blinked a few times, I realized that the light source indeed was not a lightbulb but the sun itself. But how did I get here only, a second ago, I was in my room and, now I am here? Then a thought shot through my brain:" This has to be heaven. Finally, I can lay back and have some fun in this endless paradise.

That was at least what I thought until a loud voice roared inside my head:" I shall grant you a second chance, my little friend. You shall be reborn in the world I created. No, my offer is even greater than that, my son. So let me ask you do you want to construct a dimension with me, my dear son?

"Wait a moment, who are you. Why are you talking about such incomprehensible things? You know I am just a human, an unimportant one as well."

"You don't have to fear me, little human. As for your question about who I am, You could say I am the being your kind refers to as God. And just so you know, you are way more important than you think. I mean, you were ordinary in your first life. But let me ensure you that your next life will be full of adventures and magic to fantastic for an average guy to understand. So are you ready to answer my question, my faraway son? My world or yours?"

I always was quick to accept things and, that's why I probably didn't freak out when I was suddenly here with a voice inside my head telling me that it is the voice of God. But even for me, that was a bit too much. After I slowly collected my thoughts and got a grasp of what was happening right now. I finally answered God:" I want to live a fascinating life and don't want to be stuck here forever, so let me beg you to show me your world!"

"I quite like you, human. And that's why I shall be your guide in my most favourite creation, the world Regisla! Our great adventure shall begin! Now!!".

With that said, I fell back into the darkness.

It was a bit boring alone in the darkness until I saw a planet not too far away from me. It looked pretty much like earth, you know the planet I am from and most certainly the planet you are on. But as happy as I was to see something in this endless darkness, I wasn't happy at all to notice that I was accelerating towards it. And matters became even worse when I noticed that it doubled in size in mere seconds, which meant that I was fast as hell right now. Which also meant that I would crash into the planet with the force of an atomic bomb. Looking back at that assumption, I guess you, yes, you the reader, noticed that I am not the brightest tool in the shed. But back to me falling to my death at unbelievable speed.

"So I guess I got played by God, soon I will be nothing more than a pile of ash. Not the best way to end, but I can't change that, so what. I already died once so, dying a second time can't be so bad."

As I closed my eyes less than a second before impact, I heard God's voice again.

"So you thought I betrayed you, my little friend. Ok, I guess I was a bit sadistic with this whole flying through space nearly crashing into a planet thing, but I thought it would be funny."

"You think that was funny. I thought I was going to die! Again!"

"I don't understand you, mortals, always afraid of death. Just take it easy, live your life, have fun."

"I am not going to discuss life with an immortal being."

"Enough talking, my friend. Get going and open your eyes. Your new family is waiting."

After he said that, I slowly opened my eyes and looked around.
