Chapter 27: Date night

Raven finished breakfast and wasted no time in taking Mia out of the Cafe to prevent another argument with their mother.

"Eh, let's stop arguing and enjoy a date together." Raven said, grabbing her hand.

Raven took Mia away, and Will and their mother were left standing alone.

"Where are we going?" Mia asked.

"I don't know. Let's search around Quebec and find out." Raven said.

Feeling excited, Mia smiled at the prospect of exploring the city with Raven.

Hand in hand, they took a leisurely stroll down the bustling streets, the sounds of car horns blaring and people conversing filling the surrounding atmosphere.

As they strolled, basking in the warm sun, the rays gave their skin a beautiful glow.

While taking a walk, they stumbled upon a small park, and to their surprise, there was a stunning fountain that was frozen located in the middle.

Raven, with a gentle gesture, led Mia over to the fountain where they sat on the cool ledge and touched the cool ice.

While they explored the park, Mia's eyes were drawn to the beautiful foliage that surrounded them, and she couldn't resist commenting, "This park is truly stunning."

"Yeah, it is," Raven said, smiling at her.

They spent a considerable amount of time in each other's presence, relishing each other's company and basking in the tranquil environment of the park.

After a while, Raven shifted his attention towards Mia.

"I have a surprise for you," he said.

Intrigued by his words or actions, Mia fixed her gaze upon him.

"What is it?" she asked.

Raven stood up, his grin widening as he reached for Mia's hand and helped her up.

"Follow me."

Taking her by the hand, he guided her out of the park and down the bustling street, eventually arriving at a quaint, small theatre.

Upon entering, Mia's eyes were drawn to the theatre's marquee, which proudly displayed a classic French film.

"I thought you might like this," Raven said, gesturing towards the screen.

Mia's face lit up with excitement.

She loved classic films, and this one looked particularly intriguing.

"Thank you so much, Raven," she said, giving him a hug.

After procuring their tickets and popcorn, they located their seats and comfortably situated themselves, eagerly anticipating the beginning of the film.

Despite trying to focus on the film, Raven's gaze kept drifting towards Mia, who was sitting next to him.

As they sat together in the theatre, he couldn't help but admire how beautiful she looked in the soft lighting.

Raven and Mia walked out of the theatre, their voices carrying their intense discussion about the movie's plot and characters.

They were both lost in thought when Raven suddenly stopped, looking around as if something had caught his attention.

"Do you want to grab a drink somewhere?" he asked.

Mia nodded, smiling.

Raven took her to a small and cosy cat cafe, where the soothing sound of purring cats and the smell of freshly brewed coffee welcomed them.

They sought a peaceful spot in the Cafe and selected a table in a corner, luxuriating in the comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

While indulging in their drinks, Mia found herself in awe of the charming cats that roamed freely throughout the cafe.

One fluffy grey cat with bright green eyes approached their table, curiously rubbing against Mia's leg.

"Oh, look at this, cutie," Mia exclaimed, reaching down to gently stroke the cat's soft fur.

The cat purred in response, happily nuzzling her hand.

Raven watched Mia with a soft smile, and looked at the cat and muttered, "I haven't even touched her legs yet, you damn cat."

He then looked back at Mia.

"I'm glad you like it here," he said, taking a sip of his coffee.

Mia looked up at him, a contented smile on her face.

"I love it. Thank you for bringing me here," she said.

They continued to talk and enjoy each other's company, completely lost at the moment.

As Raven and Mia continued to laugh, share stories, and delve into deeper conversations, time seemed to slip away unnoticed.

Because of the cosy and intimate ambiance provided by the cat cafe, they could connect on a deeper level, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

The cafe windows were casting a warm glow as the evening sunset, and it was then that Raven suggested they should take a leisurely stroll along the riverbank.

Mia, with great enthusiasm, agreed to the proposal, and they said their goodbyes to the cute feline companions, making a promise to return some other time.

As they walked hand in hand along the tranquil riverside, the gentle breeze softly brushed against their faces, creating a serene atmosphere.

As they conversed, a serene backdrop was created by the sound of flowing water and the distant chirping of birds.

As the evening sky darkened, Mia looked up and noticed the appearance of the first few twinkling stars.

Upon seeing them, a glimmer of wonder sparked in her eyes, and she pointed up at them.

"Look, love! The stars are coming out."

Raven glanced up, captivated by the sight.

"They're beautiful, just like you," he said, his voice filled with genuine admiration.

Blushing, Mia playfully nudged him.

"You're such a smooth talker."

They found a quiet spot by the riverbank, where a bench overlooked the frozen water.

The two of them sat down next to each other, their shoulders lightly touching, and continued their conversation under the sparkling, starlit sky above them.

As the air grew cooler, Mia felt a warm embrace from the intimacy of the moment.

Mia released Raven, who gasped for breath a few moments later.

The sun had finally set, and they walked back to the hotel, guided by the soft glow of streetlights.

Raven and Mia lost track of time in Quebec and before they knew it, the week had passed.

With only one day left until Christmas, they were on their way back home from Quebec.
