Sleeping through

Mihael was admitted on spot by Aren.

Chatter.

All the bystanders started speaking about him.

"But he's just a lesser-"

Roughly thirty or so students and some of the staff too.

Most of the upper classes were on vacation, so the academy was mostly empty.

"Look he has no wings-"

"What tricks did he use?"

"But wasn't he… kind of cool?"

People kept on saying things.

But- Mihael was already bored of all this.

"Are we done yet?" He said, staring back at Sarveisa.

"Yes, we're done. School hasn't started yet. What do you say, you attend classes today?"

In fact, it was still early noon.

"It won't be boring?"

"It will not be boring, no."

"Alright…"

***

Sarveisa led Mihael to his classroom and once there, she made him sit on the first bench.

Class had started last week, so he was just one week behind.

"You sure you won't miss me or anything? It's your first day and-"

Mihael stared blankly.

Getting the cue- "I'll go and change into robes. I would appreciate if you didn't harm the other students."

"Depends on how they act."

A sigh. "Better than nothing, I guess. See you soon."

She left.

But now that the high angel did leave-

Quite a lot of stares came this way. Actually, they were already staring even when Sarveisa was here. But now, some of them were glaring.

"What does this looser think he is?" Said the blonde behind Mihael, grinning all high and mighty.

"Huh, this ain't no place for a lesser."

"What a looser."

The blonde's lackeys were sure chiming in.

Judging by their wings, they were pretty much all high angels.

"I bet he bribed his way in."

They made fun of him.

However-

The more they made fun of him-

The less bored he got.

After all-

This was new-

And thus-

'So that's bullying?'

Lips curling a bit-

He kind of didn't like it but hey, a new experience, was a new experience.

"Look at this loser, he's smiling. Does he not understand us? Well, he is a little kid."

They laughed some more.

Mihael was two-

The other kids were at least eight.

They were definitely bigger than him.

Then again Mihael did have the actual intelligence of a few centuries old demonlord… so he wasn't really all that bothered by just words.

"I bet mommy never bothered to educate the guy!"

Some laughter.

About twenty or so students and more than half of them laughing.

"Wait- could it be- could it be that that beautiful high angel was- ah…. Maybe I'll go beg and she'll also baby me too! And I could just give him a few lessons as the older sibling?"

They all laughed.

But-

Mihael's smiling ceased.

The air got heavy.

And though Mihael didn't stare back-

His aura-

Reached the whole room, shutting them.

And-

MIhael stood up, staring back, checking out all the students.

Quite a few of them weren't all that interested but-

"Now- please take your-" the teacher arrived but-

"There are three things in this world that I do not tolerate. One of them- is slandering my parents and family." He brought his hands forward. A circle appeared. Glistening, purple, fluctuating light. And then he flicked his finger, sitting down.

"Shut it, you lesser!" The same kid yelled, threw up some blood and crumbled to the ground.

His lackeys shrieked, trying to get away from the blood….

"I've cast a divine curse on all of you. Think bad things about my family and- yeah- you'll end up like him. Oh and, anyone but your head gods won't be able to dispel it. Actually, I doubt some of them would be able to either."

"You can't possibly-" The teacher- sighed. "She said you were going to be a handful but that was an understatement…"

Black hair, white robes.

A high angel.

"Oh, I did. If they don't mean any harm to me and my family then the curse won't activate. For reference, the one that kissing the ground right now, had murderous thoughts about me and slander for my family."

"Even so- this is too much!"

"I see, so this academy likes to harbor murderers? Bravo, teacher." Mihael slow clapped.

Making the teacher ground his teeth.

Yeah, he wasn't paid enough for this.

"Now, now." The headmistress walked in.

Everyone stood up-

Mihael was already standing, so he sat down.

"Please have a seat. And- on cue, you do things in an absurd manner-" she said, staring at Mihael. "Regardless, to answer your question, no, we do not harbor murderers." She flicked her fingers and two people grabbed the fallen boy hoisting him like a potato sack. "Throw him away."

"Yes, mistress!"

"And also be sure to 'educate those four gentlemen'" She cleared her throat. "Now, would you mind making it so that the curse would only activate if they have murderous thoughts? Just thinking of harming you and getting outed like that, doesn't seem very, fun, right?"

Mihael shrugged. "Actually, I'll make it so that it wouldn't activate even if they have murderous thoughts. But- I will not tolerate any slander against my family; so, if they think or move even a millimeter to harm my family- you can guess what'll happen next."

"Oh, don't worry. I'll throw them off the island."

"Very well."

Mihael flicked his finger and the curse changed.

Meanwhile-

"Now, I'm sure you've heard but Mihael here is a special student and is very much the strongest out of you all; he is also our 34th God candidate. Thus- please don't act like idiots and get on his nerve."

She proceeded to give a speech about things-

Making Mihael feel a bit sleepy.

But eventually-

She was done- "Well then, with that, welcome to the academy and- I hope you have a great time learning new things for the future of the world." She stared at everyone but it didn't take a genius to see who she was speaking to. "You'll also be getting a new teacher today, who will introduce herself later on."

And she left.

After a brief explanation of the syllabus, the teacher also left.

Meanwhile-

Mihael was surrounded.

This time-

By some girls.

"That was so cool!"

"Aren't you just hiding your wings! I bet they're bigger than everybody here!"

"God candidate at the age of two, so bold!"

"I heard you were related to the headmistress. Is that true!"

"He's so cute!"

Most of the girls fawned over him.

Some girl just stared from the sidelines, dubious.

The boys meanwhile- mostly glared.

Not because he was a lesser…. but because… well- yeah.

***

The next class began-

And a new teacher walked in.

Silver hair-

Fake glasses-

A beautiful white robe with golden threads-

Long white hair, perfectly straight; a tiara crowning her head like a princess.

Sarveisa.

She had this big wide smile.

And kind of proud too.

But when she stared at the boy on first bench, trying to show off a little to him- she couldn't help but sigh.

Apparently-

Mihael Zable-

Was already asleep.

And so-

Mihael's first day-

Was mostly just him sleeping through all his classes….

None dared to wake him up, no.
