Knows no bounds

The chubby girl hadn't took a look at the girl in front of her and instantly her brain, having become accustomed to the usual, manipulative and bully lifestyle she had been living, immediately noticed that the woman seemed poorly dressed.

That could only mean one thing or two things. She was either rich and out without her parents permission, or she was that peasant girl the daughter of the prime minister tagged along with.

She scanned the girl slightly taller than her. She didn't notice any weapons or a crest of an influential family and lastly she didn't even recognize her face that she could vaguely see behind the thin veil. Her face didn't register as familiar.

Prematurely she decided that the woman inform of her was in fact the peasant girl who had the audacity to attend a noble's academy exam.

"Ho? Even a nameless peasant dares to threaten a Nobel now? What?"

She took a snickering look at the girl behind the veil.

"Just because your slightly talented in archery, you think...you have what it takes to challenge a Nobel?"

She suddenly stopped and took a calculating glance at Fei Yu.

"Or maybe..."

"It's because of her?"

The chubby Nobel pointed her finger at the Fei Yu's head that was poking out from behind Ye Feng Tian.

"Don't pay attention to her! Miss Ye Feng, she's just a curry favoring minister's daughter who was trying to put me down.." her voice suddenly stopped as she put a hand before her mouth.

Woops. She nearly said that it was Ye Feng Tian's appearance that had let that Minister's Nobel start this whole charade.

"B-because I bumped into her! That's why she's trying to- huh?"

Fei Yu took a look around her.

She realised Ye Feng Tian had disappeared.

"Where.." she had just turned her head back when a muffled scream sounded out.

On the ground, laying like a pig getting slaughtered was the minister's daughter, Qin Mei.

"You finally shut up." Ye Feng Tian quietly whispered in Qin Mei's ear with one hand on her hair, pulling it, and another on her mouth. Slowly she let go, and smashed her head down.

Internally screaming, Qin Mei finally realised where she had gone wrong.

Why...why did she automatically assume that the prestigious daughter of the Right Prime Minister, has been 'tagging along' with the peasant girl?

She really hadn't noticed...

Next, before anyone of her guards along with her other two worthless followers could do anything, Ye Feng Tian had already knocked them down.

"What a waste of time." She leaned down towards Qin Mei snuffling on the ground, grovelling around like a headless flee. Gazing at her appearance Ye Feng Tian had finished her 'final warning'.

Ye Feng Tian left the scene aftwerwards and walking with her was Fei Yu and her un apparelled admiration and gratefulness shining through.

It had already been half an hour since the pair had left the 'crime scene'.

Ye Feng Tian turned around sharply. This sudden turn had made the two pairs of eyes gaze into each other and for a moment Fei Yu thought she was either dreaming or that she was about to faint.

"We've arrived."

She pointed at the building that they had finally walked to. In fact, it was the Prime minister's manor that was actually situated adjacent to the royal palace, and they had actually been walking very fast so they arrived reasonably quickly.

As for why they had left the royal palace...

Considering how the final exams was for the country's most prestigious academy was commencing tomorrow, it was no surprise that participants such as the daughter of the Right prime minister would leave the royal palace to get prepared.

Currently, Fei Yu was bright red like a tomato and Ye Feng Tian was a bit concerned that the fever or disease she had noticed form before was spreading.

So she reached out her hand to touch her fore head in one quick swoop.

Feeling that the temperature was normal she waited for Fei Yu to respond.

"I-I um.. I.. eh????"

Ye Feng Tian: ...

Fei Yu: ???

"S-Sorry! I-, thank you! I will go in, n-no need to escort me any further! See you at the final exams!" She managed to stutter out.

Finally, as she pushed through the gates quickly, she let out the breath she had been holding; in that moment when Ye Feng Tian gazed into her eyes, she felt like her soul was being read. Those eyes seemed to be unfathomably deep, like the void; and when she stared at them back...

It just reminded her that her number one idol was truly deserving the queen of national beauty!

Sighing, Fei Yu walked towards the main entrance.

What a day it has been.'

Meanwhile Ye Feng Tian was still standing outside. And situated around her were five locked out guards. They had been trailing her ever since she stepped foot into the library and she really couldn't help but think that... it was that annoying white haired guy's fault.

As she was pondering she suddenly noticed a presence she hadn't sense. And suddenly she felt danger creep up on her.

It was just in time, but if she hadn't dodged immediately, that arrow that soundlessly went by would have surely killed her.

No longer messing around Ye Feng Tian sighed. She was reaching her daily limit of social interaction, her new body was also reaching its daily limit of secret techniques execution quota.

It was bound to happen that this frail body wouldn't last too long. She had only managed to beat those 'S rank' guards and assassins because of her specialized techniques the government had devised and implemented her with. Along with her honed senses as the 'undefeated soldier' in the modern world, she was able to move and dodge and fight on another level.

But there was always a limit to how long she could last and currently her mental and physical energy just wasn't keeping up with her abilities.

No longer exerting the bare minimum she could afford. She maximised to her current top speed and chased after the assassin.

She had considered multiple possibilities with this gamble of hers. But ultimately time waited for no one. She wouldn't be able to gamble if she had waited any longer anyhow.

A threat level that high had to be exterminated.

Soon she caught up. The assassin was visibly shocked, she wasn't even wearing a mask; clothed in all black her pale skin contrasted greatly.

'Not many can match my speed, so how..?'

Suddenly a leg came crashing down on her from above, and at that moment she also noticed the figure in front of her was gone.

Right at that moment the leg came crashing down, and as an archer trained in assassination her close combat was poor, she could only feasibly dodge as another rain of attacks came crashing down on her, each with more pressure than the next.

She had been trained to not feel pain professionally since little, but the pain she felt at that moment was indescribable.

"I-I surrender. Please! Spare my life!"

As Ye Feng Tian had been raining her attacks down on the archer, she had already changed into her male robes by simply taking off her outer dress and transformed into Ye Feng, her male form.

In fact, the whole time under her veil she had been wearing two masks, one was to slightly alter her features form her original appearance to look less noticeable and the other was her male mask. This was perhaps because of her recognisable appearance but she found that the thin veil was truly too thin. It really did nothing to hide her appearance, but less her amethyst eyes that weren't common at all.

Gazing up form the lack of response by her attack the female archer was shocked still. Was she dreaming? Who was this man? Wasn't her target a female? Had he been cross dressing this whole time?

Wait, how can someone, much less a man be that beautiful and handsome at the same time! Gosh his appearance is so androgynous but yet so handsome? Wait I must be dreaming...

Hi, I don't know if there's any readers anymore since I went on a hiatus and dropped this novel for about two years, but I thought I would publish here and there now that its the holidays. I probably won't be committed to a regular updating schedule, but I realised I kind of miss this novel and writing is still fun. I've been reading and writing a lot. In a flash, it's already been three years since I started this novel and two years since I last published. I wrote this chapter in 2020 and just never published it. Thanks for the people who kept this novel in their collection despite it not updating!
