Sara Williams

To her consternation, she found that Alex or Alexa wasn't even looking up. He was busy flipping through a text book, a pencil in his hand and making some small notes on the side as he was reading. When I passed by his desk, I deliberately tripped, and grabbed onto his desk to steady myself. He tilted his head to the side, looking at me and smiling sweetly, asking,

"Are you ok?"

I gave him a pitiful look, but I was delighted inside he finally look at me. But before I could say anything, I saw him simply patted my hand that was on the desk and said,

"Luckily the desk take your fall. Try to be more careful next time, "

After that he took a handkerchief which was in his pocket wiped the hand with which he touched me, called one of his friends and told him to throw the handkerchief in the trash. Then turned back to reading his book. I got up, unable to say anything and humiliated. Why wasn't he acting according to the script? Shouldn't he be upset, or worried about his brother? About me, the supposed victim? Didn't Anabel already identify her as the one in the picture? What was going on?

Just as I walked away, however, I heard Alissa another girl in the class ask Alexa,

"Since when did Alexander hook up with Sara?"

"What are you talking about?"

Alexa asked, her face full of puzzlement.

"Alexander and Sara!"

Hissed Alissa.

"What about my brother and Sara?"

Exasperated, Alissa said,

"You know, Alexander and Sara! About them being a couple!"

Alexa shrugged, seemingly uninterested as she returned to reading her book,

"Do you know who my brother is. In this moment every girl want to be with him. But he never been with any girl, let alone Sara."

Although her voice was low, it was still clear and a lot of people heard what she said. Alissa was looking at her in complete shock, hardly believing that the school gossip was true. Everybody know that contrary to his brother Xander is not a player! The whisperings started, and people were giving furtive glances at Janice.

So I played it up even more. Thank goodness Alissa was there to push the matter out in the open! I gave them the typical 'I-have-been-wronged' look, as I wiped my eyes dainty with a handkerchief, and looked forlornly at Alexander back. When the school bell rang marking the start of the first class, everyone's attention went to the front. The class teacher was walking in, so silence descended.

Just as the teacher opened her mouth to say something, a bell chime sounded over the intercom, signaling that an announcement was going to be made.

"Will Alexander Delatour and Sara Williams come to the Vice Principal's Office right now"

I was already waiting outside Vice Principal Dobbins' office when Sara arrived. She looked awkwardly at me, tears glistening in her eyes as she sat down next to him.

*What a white lotus act*

I Commented .

*Must admit, she's not bad*

*Behave, brother*

Alexa replied with a giggle.

*Well, she is 16 and have more experience so she probably perfected her skills just for you*

Replied Alex.

*I don't like to waste my time but I want her out of the school I need to take part of this act*.

Janice began sniffling beside me, 'trying' not to make any loud noises but would occasionally look at me sneakily while dabbing her eyes. I still don't say anything.

Finally, unable to stand him ignoring me, I turned to look at him with the most pitiful face I could muster, and ask,

"Doesn't it bother you?"

I leaned back on the wall, placed my right leg's ankle on my left knee, then replied.

"Why should it?

I looked at him with wide eyes. First, it was Alex. Now, it's him. What was wrong with them? Why aren't they following the script? Why are they completely unbothered by the rumours? Even fueling it?

When Alexa had declared that he never got with anyone, it made his reputation even worse. Once that got out, the forum will probably explode again. Yet, here he was ... completely unaffected by it all.

Worse, even if he was not bothered by it all, what about her? Why isn't he worried about her, who's obviously upset by it all? The victim in all of this? Is he truly a person without a heart? Not comforting a beautiful lady who is crying by his side?

No I know that even with this icy attitude he is not like that to his friend and family. Everyone can see that he care a lot about them.

"You're not scared of the Vice principal?"

She asked tentatively.

Alexander snorted.

"Why should I be scared of her?"

"I wish I could be like you,"

She said in a low voice,

"I'm scared at what she'll do"

He didn't say anything else to me, so I look at him and saw him looked at his watch, he crossed his arms, leaned his head back and then closed his eyes, promptly falling asleep.

It wasn't a deep sleep as my subconscious was aware of the sounds around me. But It was enough to give me some respite from the girl beside me and relax his mind. If she thinks that I am a nobody this person is going to see how I will deal with her.
