2 First experience as a vigilante

as I woke up, I realised something was wrong. The walls of the alley I was in were covered in blood and the only thing in front of me was a, still smoking, charred corpse. I stood up but quickly fell back down while clutching my head in pain. After a couple of minutes, I stood up and my head had stopped throbbing and left behind the memories of the previous owner of the body I am currently in. His, well now my, name was Nathan "Blaze" White, apparently he got the nickname "Blaze" due to his fiery personality and the "natural" red and orange streak in his otherwise coal black hair. Honestly from his memories he was a total jackass, he was rude to people, he was hated by everyone and it seemed like that is what got him killed. Someone that he used to bully everyday decided that enough was enough and lured Nathan into this alley before slashing at him with a fu*king machete. I mean where in the hell did he just get a machete, to be fair this is DC so for all I know it was just laying around after batman beat the ever living shit out of some thugs and left behind the machete. Anyway, after cutting Nathan so deep that his heart was exposed, Nathan burst into a blue ball of fire which in turn incinerated the slashers *read bully victim* body so bad that he will not be recognisable while also killing Nathan, which then gave me the ability to "take over" his body. Ignoring all of the new information I stood up and and decided to walk where this body wanted to take me, which turned out to naturally be in the direction of his house. I quickly started going through my new memories about who my parents were and how our family is like. Turns out that my new dad, Walter White :), died due to cancer which left my mom, Moira White, to raise me all on her own. The old Nathan was a jackass to his mom, just because he could be, I did have both of my parents with me when I was growing up and they were always very supportive but I did lose my grandfather who was my, and also my dad's, role model so I know what it is like to have to deal with sorrow and this kid, did not deal with it well. I decided from here on out, that I was going to make a change and make Nathan, or well me, be a better person, which was quite obvious I mean why else would I be here. I was on my way home when all of a sudden a loud {ding} went off in my head and a bell icon appeared in my vision, I stopped but just for a second before I continued mindlessly walking, as I did I thought about clicking the bell icon. After doing that a giant screen obstructed my vision making me bump my head on a fuc*ing lamp post, which granted me some very odd looks and even a couple of people laughing at me. I sighed before looking the message, which I could only guess was from the system, and saw that it had written

NARRATOR POV

All of a sudden time stopped and a giant wheel appeared in front of Nathan who was slightly surprised by the appearance of the wheel.

Nathan: "JESUS CHRIST! Don't scare me like that system, give me some warning"

Nothing happened as Nathan looked confused until the system said

Nathan: 's-spin the wheel please'

The wheel started spinning as some small tears leaked out of Nathans eyes from the "brutal" roast that he had just gotten from his own system. The wheel stopped spinning as confetti started spraying in the air and a message appeared in front of him.

Time started again and Nathan subconsciously started walking in the direction of his new house which he was starting to see in the distance

A giant screen of empty boxes appeared in Nathans vision and when he looked in one of the boxes he could see the demon mask. The inventory looked very spacious and it said that there was an infinite storage space. He had arrived on the doorstep of his apartment when two loud {DINGS} were heard. He quickly brought up the notifications and saw two things

Nathan: 'neat'

Nathan stepped inside his two bedroom apartment in Gotham city (forgot to mention this) yeah that's right he lived in Gotham fucking city, no wonder that psycho had a machete. The first thing that greeted Nathan was a worried mom sitting on the sofa twiddling her thumbs and unconsciously tapping her foot rapidly on the floor. You could tell that she had been up until *checks watch* 2am waiting for her son to come home and when she heard the door close She looked up in anger but then saw her son wearing some bloody and ripped clothes making almost all of her anger vanish and be replaced with an insane amount of worry, as can be seen by her moving faster then the flash on...Speed (hehehe). She was instantly next to Nathan asking all of the normal questions a mom would ask,

Moira White: "OMG! NATHAN, IS THAT BLOOD! WHAT HAPPENED! ARE YOU OK!"

Nathan: "Mom, it's ok. You don't have to worry and I know it looks very bad but I can promisee you nothing happened this is all fake blood that I used to... Prank some people walking down the street"

Moira: "let me get this straight, you made me stay awake, and worried sick, until 2 am, just so you could do some pranks!!!"

Nathan: "yeah, I know it was bad. I am very sorry and it will not happen again, I promise."

Moira: "y-y-you just apologised to me. That hasn't happened since you were a little kid? Are you really my son?"

Nathan: "yeah I am your son its just... Tonight just after I pranked an old man he looked at me and said 'are you sure this is what you want to do with your life, waste it away being the jackass of the world and only make a bad situation worse' he then told me to think long and hard about who I wanted to be in the future and I realised that I want to be someone better, so, once again, I am very sorry for how I have acted since becoming a teenager mom. You didn't deserve it and in all honesty you have done so much for me since dad died even without getting a thanks in return. I love you mom"

Moira started to tear up as all of the stress and sadness that she had been building up since her husbands death, due to not wanting her son to see her cry, finally was washed away in a flurry of tears as she sobbed out

Moira: "yo-you really are your fathers son, the words of that old man must have really resonated with you, didn't they"

Nathan: "yeah they really cut me deep... (hahaha). Anyway, let's go to sleep since I have school in *sigh* 6 hours"

Moira: "*sniffle* Yes, you are right let's go to bed"

Time skip three days (Now it's the weekend) Nathan POV

Today is the day that I am going to go on my first vigilante journey, I am still inexperienced when it comes down to fighting but I believe that experience is the best teacher, and to be honest the thugs aren't something I should be too afraid off...Right? Anyway, it was currently 12:30am on a Friday and after a long day of work my mom is knocked out sleeping on her bed and I put on my outfit, which was just a black hoodie and some black sweatpants while wearing the demon mask on my head, and just as I opened my window I heard a loud {DING} and realised that I had gotten a new message from the system, which after opening it, revealed itself as a quest.

{Quest: Make your first move as a vigilante

objective: capture at least 10 thugs or criminals

Hidden objective: Catch someones attention [AN: forgot to mention that Nathan will not be able see this, I just wanted you to see this and see that there are also hidden objectives, next time it will not be seen]

reward: 10xp per criminal, 1 gacha ticket and Hidden reward

failure: you will not be able to be friends with the young justice crew}

Nathan: 'alright then Nathan, lets do this'

I quickly jumped out my window, which was on the second floor and used the fire escape to climb down. I then started walking around looking for trouble and heard some people a bit further down the street talking about some shipment of drugs and guns happening on the docks at 2am today. I quickly snuck closer to the group of guys, I heard a {DING} but chose to ignore it for now as I was more focused on figuring out a plan to beat these three guys. I saw that there was one tall but lanky dude, one short but buff dude and one average dude. If i take into account that I am slightly above average in most of my categories then I will most likely be able to take on all of these guys and win, and that is without using my powers. So, I created a plan and quickly put it into action. Used my aura of dominance to make all of the guys stagger and be paralysed and used that moment to go to the short but buff guy and, sloppily, uppercut his chin, while using my fire like a jet on the bottom of my elbow giving me more speed and thus adding more power to the punch. This caused the short guy to fly into the air, spittle flying everywhere, while his friends looked shocked at what just happened. I heard another {DING} which took my attention for a split second making the two other guys rush at me in anger, the tall one was surprisingly fast and managed to close the distance faster then I thought he could, he took that opportunity to punch me, which he was successful in. His punch wasn't that strong but it knocked me to the floor due to my surprise i got a message that said

I got angry and channeled my fire through my feet, although it wasn't that hard it was very sloppy when compared to Shinra, I shot to my feet and floated in the air in a very unbalanced manner, I then collected my thought and, in a superman style, shot myself toward the tall person. I managed to fly towards the Tall guy and hit him right in the chest, knocking him on the floor. I quickly stopped the flames on my feet and landed on the ground with a roll, I quickly got up and ran towards the average looking guy, he tried to punch me and I dodged before hitting him square in the face knocking him to the ground. But, without realising it, The tall guy had gotten up and then grabbed me, locking my arms at my side as the average looking guy was getting up. The tall guy said

Tall guy: "Josh, get your ass up and kill this freak!"

I didn't get scared or nervous, probably because of my gamer mind, so I thought of how to get out of this situation. I instantly thought of a plan and made a giant burst of fire shoot out of my back making the tall guy receive all of the impact causing him to fly and smack into a wall, with a very burnt upper body, unconscious. The average man got scared and tried to hit me but it was so sloppy that I dodged easily, covered my fists in my flames, and gave him two body shots with my flame covered fists. knocking him to the floor and giving me the chance to kick him in his temple, efficiently knocking him out. I delivered all the thugs outside the police station while also burning my new signature sign, which was a copy of the devil mask I had but surrounded by fire, into the ground outside the police station. I then threw a fire bomb into the air making a very bright boom in the sky, which should have alerted the cops to at least check outside to see whats happening. While that happened I used my flame feet to fly towards the docks where all of the action would soon happen.

I arrived at the docks in Gotham at 1:58.50 am meaning that there was nnnnoooowwww just one minute until the shipment arrived. I used this time to see what the notifications I got from the fight were

{Skill: Flame manipulation (fire force) levelled up +3} [AN: I am going to make this a slow level up since I think that he is a noob at using powers meaning he need to get used to it before being able to actually level this up like crazy. Once he joins the Young Justice (chapter 3) he will get stronger faster due to the guidance from the Heroes]

I then saw that there was a group of five thugs unloading something from a boat

Nathan: 'The shipment must have arrived. I can see that there are 7 guys on the ship that the shipment came from but I have a plant to deal with them'

Nathan snuck down towards the containers that littered the dock while grabbing a couple of rocks he could find on the ground and placing them in his inventory. He quickly snuck behind one guard, that was all alone, and used his superior strength to put him in a choke hold and waited until he was unconscious to use some rebar to tie him up. He continued doing this until only 5 more guys were left, using rocks to distract them and his fists to say goodnight to them. However, the last one had more resistance than he had originally thought so Nathan used a flame covered punch to KO this thug but not without him being able to warn his friends with a shout before Nathan knocked him out. So now Nathans situation is that there are 5 more guys who are all looking at him while also pointing their assault riffles at him which brings a good question, where did they get those AR's!! Nathan had gotten slightly nervous before gamers mind calmed him down making him adopt a straight face, under the demon mask, and quickly used his fires heat control to increase the heat so much that metal all around him started melting, he was careful with the other thugs as he did not want molten metal to burn into them and get stuck on them when it hardens again so he had made sure that they were all far away, however the guys with the guns were not so lucky as the guns started melting right on their hands making the hot metal burn their hands until they dropped the glowing red pool of liquid metal. While they were screaming in pain he quickly rushed forwards and used his fire blasts to knock out each thug left before quickly stopping his use of powers. Nathan looked around and the only thing that he saw were molten pools of metal instead of, what used to be, containers. Nathan winced a bit as he realised that his control over his fire power was next to none. He quickly rounded up the criminals and placed them at the exact same police station he dropped the original three thugs before firing another fire bomb and deepening the fire demon mask.

Nathan pov

looking at my phone I quickly saw that the time is almost 3:30 am so I used my fire power and started flying back home. However, half way there almost all of my energy was sapped, my flames sputtered and I was quickly crashing, I used every last bit of power I had left until I reached the window of my room and jumped into my room while panting like a dog. I used my remaining strength and took of my "vigilante outfit" and hid it in the back of my closet in an old school bag. I then fell on my bed and before I knew it, I was sleeping.

Narrator POV

However, without Nathan knowing, A pair of pure white eyes were staring at the fire escape that now held a pair of footprints ingrained in them. The pair of eyes then tapped an ear piece and said

???: "Al%^$) Get me all of the videos that the CCTV can produce and after that give me the name of the people that live in this house"

????: "Right away master ???"
