8 Chapter 8

Kel'eth Ur began to tell his story to Gavin. "As a sith were were taught passion brought strength. Anger was strength. Strong emotions such as fear and hatred brought strength. I had lived like this for many years. Those feelings indeed brought strength in short bursts, but as I saw time and time again, it was a short-term solution." He paused, looking over the landscape as if seeing it from long ago. "The Jedi were right. Anger hatred these were good for short bursts, but they wore out the body. Peace and Serenity, these led to true power and made me master myself."

He smiled sadly before continuing. " Myself along with a few others sought to change the ways of the Sith. We showed how our serenity and peace allowed us greater control over our power and did not burn us out by simply using it. The Sith Emporer labeled us as heretics and executed all of us. My friends he erased from history but me, he left me here as a message and warning to any Sith who chose the light."

Gavin bowed his head in respect. "You tried to change things for the better and died doing so. In life, you may have been a Sith, but you seem closer to a Jedi in death."

Kel'eth Ur was pleased. "None now reconize our sacrifice. I know it was in vain but for you to see the greatness in it." He gestured towards the wall, and a Sith holocron floated down towards Gavin. Unlike the other sith holocrons, this was a pale blue similar to a Jedi Holocron. "Take this youngling show the world my teachings." Kel'eth Ur Then faded into the background and spoke no more.

Gavin stood there for a few minutes, looking at the tomb."Your lessons will not be forgotten nor will your name. Perhaps if you had been successful, the galaxy would be a better place."

When Gavin returned to the ship, Yoda marveled at the holocron. Obviously, of sith's design, but it shined with as much of the light side as any Jedi Holocron.

Upon returning to the temple, Gavin was made a Jedi Knight. Young to be sure, but he was well liked and trusted by the Jedi order.

Gavin spent the next 10 months completing mission after mission glad to be able to explore and not be cooped up all the time. Eventually, as he was tracking down a group of smugglers who had given the Correllian Security Forces the slip, he got a call from Mace Windu.

"Obi Wan has been captured on Geonosis. You are to meet Master Yoda on Kamino and accompany him to Geonosis to assist with the rescue."

"Understood Master." Gavin shook. The war was about to begin, and he was running out of time. If he was not careful, he could be caught up in Order 66.

As he reached Kamino, he resolved to speak to the council again. Jedi were not generals they were peacekeepers. The Jedi are on the precipice. If they continue, then this timeline will proceed as the main time line with order 66 and the great purge.

Walking through the cloning facility, he was disturbed. "How can the counsel not feel the darkness here?" He wondered. The clones were not evil he had no doubt about that. but the Kaminoans. They knowingly put orders into the heads of the clones. Orders to kill a planet, orders to kill the jedi. Contingency orders they called them. Did no one think it odd that these orders existed? If a clone is deemed too uncontrollable, then they are killed. Gavin shook his head. No jedi in their right mind should ever have partnered with those who see life as a commodity to be bought and sold.

Now was not the time to argue this he had to find Master Yoda. Gavin reached Yoda as he finished talking to the Kaminoans, and they were watching the clones load onto the transports. "Master." Gavin greeted Yoda

"Good to see you it is." Yoda responded. "Make of this, what do you? Hmmmmm?"

"War is never a good thing master." Gavin replied. Yoda nodded in agreement. "But an army we need or many will die."

Gavin sighed. "Be careful Master this feels like a trap."

Yoda nodded. "Sense it as well, do I. Careful we must be."
