His voice is like a block of ice being smashed to Dakota's ear, if she were the one to describe it then it would be so cold and so irritating.

"And what kind of rumors dare to fly around me?" Dakota used her hand to pushed away Desmund's face.

"What kind of a woman are you?!" Desmund wiped his lips as he was disgusted with Dakota's action. Her suddenly using her hand to directly pushed his face away is not something a lady of a rich family would do.

"A rich one...should I also include terrifying?" Dakota took out a wipe and cleaned her hand.

"People are talking about how you are way too easy to please and how you will end up like your parents" Desmund stated with pure disdain, his eyes staring at Dakota's trying to read her reaction.

"Is that it???" she replied raising her brow.

If people are spreading rumors about her it should have been her being a tyrant businesswoman, a figure that everyone fears when they heard of her name enough to be said that her name being synonymous to 'tyranny'.

"Is that all you have to say???" Desmund replied with disbelief.

"Remember that your reputation affects my family and not only yours" he added as he crossed his arms.

"Speaking of reputation yours isn't as less worse than mine" Dakota retorted, she knew how much unwilling people are to work under Desmund with his impatience and horribly cold attitude that could drive people away which makes his position as the heir to his family business in a critical state.

Desmund tried his best to control his temper as he composed himself yet there are still lingering traces of anger that could be seen in his face.

"Just go on a family dinner with me this Friday and we will work things out and don't even bother to say no or else you will get it from your parents" Desmund spoke as he stormed out of Dakota's office.

[What a nuisance]

Dakota thought as she slumped on her chair and stared at her phone with anticipation.

She was eagerly waiting for Kannon to message her, Dakota herself could gain every information towards Kannon but still respected her privacy and she did not want to act like an obsessive person. There is a line where she could not cross and Dakota puts Kannon's feelings first, she wanted her to contact her first out of her intention to do so.

Lost in her thoughts she was surprised by the sudden sound of the Door closing.

Yui came in with a bright smile on her face, she was wearing a pink blazer under it is a white shirt coupled with her dark pink plaid skirt that suited her perfectly.

"Yui what brings you here?" Dakota composed herself as she stared at Yui then her gaze shifted to her feet as she was wearing white sneakers.

Dakota smiled knowing that Yui did listen to her words when they first met.

Yui's eyes were filled with emotions as she gazed at Dakota.

Elegant as ever as Yui would define her, she stared at Dakota's cold pair of obsidian eyes that reflects ambiguity and danger yet it entices one to want to reach it despite knowing the consequences.

No matter how much Yui stared at Dakota she doesn't seem to be able to read her at all.

There was only elegance and danger that surrounds Dakota yet she had a hidden gentleness and warmth that could easily charm anyone.

Dakota was patient as she stared at Yui not knowing why the female lead would always sought out to her, Dakota seemed to be fine with it. Well it is not everyday that someone is fortunate enough to meet the main character of a fiction manga that they are reading.

Charmed by her playful smirk Yui slightly blushed as she walked closer to Dakota.

"I am only here to send you an invite my family will be hosting a party in the following week" Yui spoke as she took out an elegant invitation card with the Kagami family name highlighted on it.

"How can I say no" Dakota spoke as she accepted it.

"Also I will be your executive assistant starting from today" Yui smiled as she spoke in a soft tone.

"I see" Dakota rested her head in her hand as she remembered how her mother have appointed her an assistant stating that she has already been acquainted with her.

At first Dakota was not surprised at the fact that her mother wanted someone to keep an eye to her but she was surprised as to how her mother implied that she have already been close with her supposed to be assistant when in fact she doesn't remember someone whom she is close in Sector Cinq.

"But aren't you still in University?" Dakota stared at Yui.

[Knowing mom she won't just approach anyone, unless Yui came to her first]

Dakota thought deeply not knowing Yui's intentions.

"Well I am only incharge of handling your schedules and during weekends I am obliged to work in the company" Yui replied as she took out her clip board and showing Dakota's meeting schedules.

"Great...so many work" Dakota's eye twitched staring at the packed schedule she had for the day.

"It's my honor to work under the Chief Operating Officer" Yui stated looking very pleased with Dakota's expression.

Upon hearing it there was a swift sadness that flashed through Dakota's eyes, it was the position that she inherited from her brother that worked his way to the company.

"Then do you best" Dakota spoke as stated at Yui.

"Of course!" Yui spoke feeling enlightened with Dakota.

[And I will do my own]

Dakota thought her eyes turned serious.

"What do you call me for?" Leto spoke as he laid on the couch.

Dakota was shifted her gaze from the city from her window towards Leto.

"Being at the center of power isn't always right and many people have become wary of me" Dakota spoke seriously her eyes becoming a little dangerous.

"Well buying several hundred billions of shares overnight can really turn heads" Leto spoke as if it was an obvious fact, his tone was blunt and the expression on his face was blank.

"That is why I need you to create figure heads to act as shareholders in that way my parents' wariness towards me will somehow 'ease', by creating this shareholders we could abolish the existing board of directors and replace them and with that I could underhandedly control them" Dakota spoke as she caressed the beautiful gold maple leaf necklace she was wearing.

"Your father was the chairman of the company for more than two decades you think you can easily fool him?" Leto was still doubting Dakota's risk, although he had been with her executing risks as if it was her everyday work he was still worried for Dakota facing against her father.

After all the Kaede Family held power and prestige in Sector Uno and are renown across all sectors as they have branch families residing there. With power and prestige a person handling it is not to be underestimated.
