Chapter 48: It did go wrong (2)

The strength of Undead was always proportional to the strength of the living. The stronger Ancient Capital was, the weaker Undead were due to extermination and purification.

The weaker Ancient Capital was, weaker the Undead because of lack of fresh blood, in the middle were there was plenty of living but they weren't strong enough to kill every Undead or prevent them from being born that was were the Undead thrived.

Dozens of Undead came forward in symphony the Warrior level Blood Tabi Beasts were almost overrun.

"This is going to be troublesome if the Blood Tabi Beasts end up being Undead instead, Flame Belle posses!"

Fenrir blasted his lightning, clearing out an area around Cao Guang as he prepared a hit with Flame Belle. Flames wrapped around his arms as Prairie Flames and Calamity Fire intertwined into a huge fist that Cao Guang released forward.

Meteorite Fist Exploding Heavens

Flame Belle was a sacred spirit of fire, it granted it's master an insane ability to manipulate flames even if they were only intermediate mages.

Cao Guang modified the Fiery Fist spell to fire from his hands instead of hitting them on the ground. Scores of Undead were pushed back from the front and into oblivion as the flames spread and lasted for a while.

Fortunately, although greater in number than the Blood Tabi Beasts the Undead were all Minions.

"Fenrir, with me"

Cao Guang blasted forward using the falmes towards the injured Warrior level Blood Tabi Beasts. Fenrir fought the weaker one while he and Flame Belle fought the second one.

Rays of sunshine emerged from the parting clouds as the Undead felt their skin burning and death energy leaving their body. The Sun had risen as they went crawling back to the ground hiding away from the Sun a few of the slower ones directly evaporated into a hazy smoke.

Cao Guang used his Space Rhythm to drag the Blood Tabi Beast in place as he lined up another Meteorite Fist with all his might. The first hit the beast and pierced a hole in it's stomach. The fires burned the beast from the inside killing it.

"Flame Belle help your brother, I need a rest"

Cao Guang picked up a few Undead crystals and crushed them to regain his spiritual energy. All four of his Nebulas were almost exhausted, among which the Fire Nebula looked like it was recovering faster due to the break through.

"It was a risky move" Song Xia said as the trio emerged after killing the three Warriors.

"Yes, the clouds delayed sunrise for a moment, I was almost out energy, If not for the break through. But now we have eliminated the largest group. Pick up a few Undead crystals and recover your energy we can take out the other packs one by one now. We leave after everyone has recovered".

Cao Guang's squad still had about thirteen Warrior level Blood Tabi Beasts to kill but they were split into three packs. They weren't so hard to kill.

Cao Guang counted the Soul Remnants in the Inner world of the Little Tora pendant as it condensed another Soul Essence. Cao Guang decided to leave it there as he didn't need anymore at the moment. 

All of his Basic spells were at the Fourth tier and his Fire Intermediate spell was improved to the Fourth tier as well, only it was inaccessible at the moment. He had caught another Soul Essence in his Soul Container, but he would sell it for some money.

At this his next break through would probably be his Summoning element to the second tier but it would only allow Fenrir to remain longer in the real world and strengthen both of them a bit more. Cao Guang was waiting for the both of them to reach Advancing Warrior stage.

Both Fenrir and Flame were in the standard Warrior stage, but Flame Belle was stronger because of her lineage. She would continue to get stronger as she grew up. Fenrir however was closer to the great warrior stage although he doubted whether he could beat his sister even if he broke through.

Cao Guang closed his eyes and and meditated. His spiritual world was brighter because of his latest break through. He focused on the Summoning Nebula, where 49 stars were excited while spinning on their axes.

They were eager to break through as their little brother was prioritised by Cao Guang they were getting jealous. His Space Nebula was the second most likely to break through and his Lightning Nebula came last.
