Lu Piao's eyes widened as he sensed the strength of the upcoming attack, he was suprised when Cao Guang's spells and armour had defended him against a second tier Advanced spell that he casted and he didn't hold anything back in defending against this attack either as he casted most of his spells in an instant.

He drew a deep breath after surviving that onslaught and recalled Lu Nian's words and realised a huge discrepancy in the target's strength as he saw the guy prepare another spell.

Cao Guang casted a spell that he had preparing for months and rued the time needed to truly improve the Summoning element as giant wolves exited the dimensional gate.

Twenty Great Minion level White Marked wolves, twenty Warrior level Enormous White wolves sprang out to his call as they surrounded Lu Piao, Cao Guang was afraid that his Petrification spell would kill a lot of his army with Fenrir commanding them, but the threat to his life meant he couldn't take it easy on Lu Piao.

As he expected, Cao Guang saw Lu Piao use Eyes of the Rock Demon very soon.

His wolves parted like the red sea on cue as his lightning made their way to Lu Piao and struck him after tearing through his defences and all other equipment, he had taken the guy down without killing him.

He sent his wolves back as he saw that thirteen White Mark Wolves and seven Enormous White wolves were dead, he went near Lu Piao and applied a Formation tag that would keep draining his mana even if he woke up.

The formation tag wasn't meant to be used like that, it was something that would provide a certain amount of defence in exchange for mana, but with Lu Piao's possible recovery rate it would keep him from recovering even a drop of it.

Cao Guang then helped Fenrir defeat Lu Hui and did the same to him and Lu Zhangtian, just to be on the safe side he gave them both a little whiff of Li Kai's medicine as he left them all on Fenrir's back as he slowly trudged the desert sands.

" Magister Atab, the City of Order has teleported away and we are still unable to locate it"

" Recall the lockdown order, and keep looking, don't ask for international assistance and don't let anyone untrustworthy take part in the mission and act like we took a batch of Black Vatican members under the guise of a missing weapon and kill a few mages in lockup and death row for proof" Atab sighed after he gave his orders, the mausoleum was too important to him to let others figure out it's secrets.

" I can't believe the city removed the lockdown a few hours after we sneaked out, we almost got arrested for nothing, remind me to never listen to your advice" Mu Hua lamented as everybody gave Guan Chen the stink eye.

Imagine their suprise when they met another party in the desert, they had imagined it was Enforcers or Judges that had tracked them down, it turned out the lockdown was to deal with a Blue Deacon of Black Vatican and it was over, they were now waiting at the first checkpoint after Sumer to meet up with other groups, this place was unavoidable for any Advanced mage traveling the Desert towards Egypt and hence the only possible place to meet up, they were thankful that Zhong Yuan had memorised a portion of the map after watching the three military mages doing the same.

Indeed the composure and foresight of military mages was something they still lacked, they had overlooled something so simple and important as map reading.

Cao Guang approached the Oasis with three tied half corpses and to the suprise of his teammates.

" Boss, why is Lu Zhangtian beaten up and tied and who are they" Mu Hua had next level respect for Cao Guang after seeing him in action multiple times the past two months.

" An assassination attempt, Lu Zhangtian and I go way back" said Cao Guang with obvious innuendo as the group forgave Guan Chen to stare at Lu Zhangtian.

He was going to blow this matter out of proportion and milk everything he could out of the Lu family.
