Chapter 161: Overall Improvements

Soon after Li Kai and the advisors left, the three new members arrived in Japan, but they would not be receiving any resources at this point as they had not taken part in the first battle.

However all three of them had improved since Cao Guang last met them, the substitutes weren't banned from recieving resources from their families.

Cao Guang failed to see a single member of the national team leave their rooms as they used various resources to break through the Galaxy barrier.

Cao Guang was sure Gao Xuan and Song Xia had broken through with their primary elements at least.

His cultivation was going smoothly at this point and was searching for some equipment all though he planned to bid for the ones in Paris, there was nothing stopping him from finding new ones.

The auction sites had Soul seeds of Fire, Earth and Light but none of them had any Domains, after experiencing the Lightning Bliss Cao Guang was unwilling to use anything less than a Domain, but he bought a Spirit grade seed of Light element.

The seed was average and would not help him too much but it was better than nothing.

So far he hadn't found any useful materials to craft an armour or a suitable one, yet he couldn't go into dangerous situations like the Maritime Battlefield without any protection.

Spirit, Soul and Heavenly seeds didn't just improve one's magic they also had the feature of refining one's body further. Other than that the only time a mage's body would be refined was when they broke through a major realm.

Cao Guang was now in the Advanced level which meant his body should be comparable to a Minion level beast, but now he was atleast a Lesser Warrior after being nurtured by four spirit grade seeds, one Soul grade and one Heaven grade seeds.

A Warrior level body was usually possessed by Super mages, yet he had that already, this would increase his survival ability. He also bought a new pair of magic boots and and a shield equipment for a cost of 300 million total, his savings had dropped to 2.147 billion after that splurge, he also sent some of his old equipment to Liu Mingrui through a delivery service.

Cao Guang spent rest of the time he had improving his control over the Summoning and Space advanced spells, especially the latter he had been dreaming about casting that particular spell.

The Advanced space spell, Blink allowed the user to undergo short distance teleportation once in the first tier.

---

Ten days later the team set off on a cruise liner to India, after their resting period was over, their second destination would be an inland battlefield would be in Bengal, the place was famed for being plagued by Tiger type Monsters, they were rare in the world.

Their second mission was to hunt a Commander level Tiger monster in Bengal.

The team preferred to travel by land if they could for more than one reason, the boat they used to travel to Japan was too slow and because they had very little firepower they couldn't use the magic powered motor as it would attract the Sea Monsters, while on land they could travel faster if they could hire a few mounts for travel.

As for place these services weren't available they could travel by foot or using Summoned beasts, either way they didn't have to compromise on speed or safety.

In fact they were lucky to smuggle themselves onto a cruise liner without a thorough identity check as the advisors froze their accounts again.

Cao Guang had wanted to visit a place in India or Australia after he reached the peak of Advanced level, they had the Bodhi tree and Sacred Victorious Altar respectively, cultivating in either of these places increased the likelihood of a breakthrough.

The Sacred Victorious Altar used the Power of Stars to help the breakthrough in all cases but the Bodhi tree worked a little different, the chances of breakthrough when cultivating under the tree varied depending on the person.

If someone had failed a break through to the Super level once, they had a higher chance under Bodhi tree, a failed break through actually increased one's chance under the Bodhi tree, so spots for cultivation were sold like hot cakes. It wasn't like the tree was useless if one hadn't failed a breakthrough either.

The tree was miraculous, according to legend the tree gathered fame when a full-fledged Forbidden Curse mage was born under it.
