Chapter 149: Tyrant of the Depths, Baxia

Gao Xuan felt like he had become conscious inside a dream after entering the inner world of the Wooden clapper, there was nothing much in it compared to the Little Tora pendant.

But he could feel a prehistoric force emanating inside it as he took a few steps with his feet. He saw flashes of memories that didn't belong to him.

He saw a Giant Turtle swimming alongside a Black Snake, he wondered if that was the same snake mentioned by Cao Guang.

Then he saw the Turtle go to war at the behest of a mighty and untraceable figure in the sky.

He saw it traverse the depth of the sea alone trying to find resources to recover it's former strength, he saw the beast get injured in a battle against two Rulers that looked similar.

Then he saw the Turtle appear occasionally near the land and absorb some Earth type resources.

Finally he saw the sea near Xixiong town, the landscape was fresh in his mind as it wasn't long ago that he travelled on a boat through there. He saw an island and a mountain he didn't recall.

He saw the faint shadow of a woman go to the island in a fit of anger. He saw the girl sitting there for some time and check out the plants on it. Then he watched as the girl left after what seemed a few hours.

Finally he saw some rocks on one end of the island seemingly move as a eye opened.

The Tyrant of the Depth Baxia had appeared.

Gao Xuan marveled at the sheer size of the creature and saw that it was looking at him as if it could see him, he heard faint undiscernable howls come out it's gigantic mouth.

Miyata had gone farther than she ever had on Xixiong, she was relatively new to the place and didn't know that such an island existed.

She had gone there out of anger. She was new to the place and had picked up the job of bringing herbs and medicines to the temple.

She met the priests there quite often and they seemed nice enough to her. She met the only priest that spoke English or any other language Nara Arisora. He was also the one responsible for herbology.

She worked with the person for some time and found herself attracted to the person, but she knew they had to be platonic as he was a priest.

Nara Arisora felt somewhat similar to her as he slowly lost his interest in remaining a priest and imagined a life with her and today she and asked him if he was willing to abandon it for her and he froze for a moment. Was he willing? He didn't know for certain?

His silence had irritated her to no end as she walked away from there and found herself on this island blowing off steam.

Gao Xuan woke up pretty soon and lifted the wooden clapper and explained what he saw and what the artifact did.

" The Wooden clapper is a magic tool for cultivation and seems to be vessel of a turtle like creature, I dreamt of seeing it near Xixiong, I think it's nearby, it said something to me but I didn't quite understand"

" If it's a Turtle then it could be either Aofu Father of Turtles or Baxia Tyrant of the Depths, we'll have to find it but let's go tomorrow night, it's almost morning and creature will probably leave to hide from human eyes " Cao Guang then explained the lines of the Black Tortoise he knew, well there were only three in his knowledge, Totem Snake, Baxia and Aofu, he also knew Aofu was dead but he didn't mention it to these guys.

They were really enthused right know, he didn't want to disappoint them yet, especially Jiang Shaojun who felt like he had found his calling.

As the son of one of the top Generals he knew about more things about Totems than most people, when he heard about people and Totems working together again from Cao Guang, he had to admit that he was taken away by it.

The trio slowly went down the mountain through the same way they came, before they left Cao Guang fixed the Ward back even if it was guarding nothing now.

As they walked through the woods they saw two figure engrossed in pleasure, being mages and having better eyesight than normal people they could make out the faces as one of the monks they met in the temple before Qi Hai.

As they went back to the temple they also saw other people walk by and Nara Arisora enter the temple again. They even greeted each other at the entrance.
