Chapter 111: Pathetic Shi Qianshou (3)

Shi Qianshou was unremorseful when he saw Tong Xuan betray him and be saved by Cao Guang. He sent a wave of his insects not towards The Little Flame Belle but targeting Cao Guang.

Cao Guang knew this was coming as he used space element to slow the leading ones a little and let the Flame Belle handle them. His insects had the ability to release a type of gaseous poison and he knew he would be done for if he got too close. He didn't have the option of close combat right now and needed to stay away.

Cao Guang struck the panting Tong Xuan on the back of his neck and knocked him out to prevent any mishaps. He couldn't concentrate properly with this guy breathing near him.

Little Flame Belle extended her area to cover Cao Guang once again as Shi Qianshou's insects were burned by the Crimson Death.

Shi Qianshou was only a peak Advanced mage, his only redeemable element was his Poison element. Cao Guang and Little Flame Belle could defeat him before getting the Crimson Death as long as Shi Qianshou didn't summon the tide of Sandstorm Demon Locusts.

If the Demon Locusts came about, he needed the Domain of Crimson Death to keep them away, Shi Qianshou's insects weren't nowhere as tedious as the actual Demon Locusts.

Now that Little Flame Belle had gotten the Crimson Death and it's Domain she could fight against of Shi Qianshou's level with relative ease as she did now. The only thing dragging her was making sure Cao Guang was not attacked by the poison of these insects.

Cao Guang was a little ashamed that he was suddenly a drag to the Flame Belle as he returned the favour to Shi Qianshou, since the Sandstorm Demon Locusts were still about he couldn't use his other elements either.

Previously the Demon Locusts stayed away from the Crimson Death Domain for a while allowing him to cast an advanced spell and help Tong Xuan out. After Shi Qianshou noticed the problem he used Seal of Poison to drag the insects as close to the Domain again and annoyed Cao Guang again.

He couldn't cast Intermediate spells at this point as Star Patterns breaking. But his basic spells were still available he could cast them in an instant.

Greater Fire Bursts

They were fourth tier and boosted 2.5 x more than enough to damage Shi Qianshou if he let his guard down even a bit. Cao Guang had to admit Shi Qianshou's insects were fearless as swathed of them flew into the Crimson Death as Shi Qianshou more or less came to an understanding.

" Do you think of yourself as a hero, Cao Guang? Do you think that every military leader does not have a secret they want buried? Do you think you can clean up the military by catching me?"

Cao Guang didn't respond to his questions at all. He was working on helping Little Flame Belle make sure the guy didn't escape. He was now covered in his insects after his magic equipment ran out, to protect himself from the flames.

He was bound to die in a few minutes at this rate. Cao Guang instructed the Little Flame Belle to sever the guys limbs and keep him alive for the military. The rest of his men had been devoured by the Sandstorm Demon Locusts.

The matter of Taklamakan Relay station would be buried if everyone died here. Shi Qianshou was captured and dragged to Cao Guang by the Little Flame Belle. The Domain of Crimson Death had disappeared but the Demon Locusts still kept away from the source of the Fire.

Cao Guang summouned Fenrir and rode away to the area where Lin Feili lives with Little Flame Belle. He now needed to convince the man to return to civilization and not take the beast path.

Cao Guang circled around the periphery of the Burning Mountains till he found the traces of human again and found the shriveled husk of a man in clothes made of animal hide.

" Are you Lin Feili, the officer entrusted with the Earth Pistil by the commander?" Cao Guang addressed the man with caution and saluted him.

"Are you from the military HQ?"

"In a way I am, This is Shi Qianshou the man responsible for the destruction of the relay station and this is guy who agreed to testify against him. Do you have anything to add for a report".
