Feel free to leave a note for any problems. Another heads up, I do not own any anime, art, or character aside from the OC protagonist mentioned in this novel. It is merely a fanfiction trying to develop my writing skill. At times the cover may be an AI generated picture or one that was picked off the internet. I will try to include both, one original and one generated, so as to give the readers an image to go off on, in various styles. And considering this is a fanfic there are a lot of spoilers, so those that want to get spoiled, it is your choice to read. Additionally, the update schedule for new chapters is inconsistent which can come in days, a few weeks, and possibly rarely months. Lastly, the pacing is slow for a various reasons, as it gives me more ways to develop the story and build a decent foundation to all later future chapters. Not to mention, being too fast-paced gives off the vibes of being rushed. )

Ch 6: Savior

[ First Person POV ]

[ Hiroto POV ]

Anyways, enough of that women, I've arrived to a place I can work myself out in. After all I need to run some test for me to see how far my [ Adaptable Body ] can go.

I've exercised a bit before getting the system, but it's always taken time. Not to mention, the amount of progress I can attain with working out is limited which is to be expected, considering I'm not fully developed.

I kept doing it anyways due to the fact that laying out a good foundation is never a bad thing to do.

Hmm—testing out my flexibility for now will be a good stretch to my muscles before getting to more tougher exercises. Let's use the 'equipment' I can use here.

Starting with the monkey bars, since I'll be heading to not just this world, the level of danger I'll face will get worse. I need to get used to moving a lot more agile movements with my body and be in tuned with strenuous movements, greater control of my body will be helpful.

And to do just that I need to move bar-to-bar in quick speeds and swing a full 360 degrees in them. It seems like a fun thing to do, yet also dangerous, just one mistake and I might break my spine, paralyzed or worse killing me, not letting go is really my priority when doing what I'm just about to do.

"Hahh…"

Letting out a exhausted sigh, social situations are just not it for me huh—introverts like me don't really find them entirely bothersome, other than the fact that they drain the energy out of us. Maybe, I'm just antisocial to be honest, but I don't want to talk more than necessary.

"Haha. Yosh…"

I said so while having a smirk on my face, as much as I used to like staying inside doing my hobbies.

I eventually came to like exercising and the thrill that comes from it. The progress that you can feel from it is just something hard to pass on. Anyways, let's get started…

..

.

[ Third Person POV ]

In a playground, an absurdly cute boy with a pair silver-white hair and eyes can be seen moving in the monkey bars in a fast-paced.

As sweat drops from his body and his shirt becoming wet, as he hogged the entire monkey bar section to himself.

'All of this is more than enough—I did more than necessary for a stretching exercise.'

Hiroto thought as just that amount of moving around was enough to leave him exhausted.

'As for the rest of the day, maybe running some laps around the neighborhood would be good… good?'

In the middle of his thought, he questioned whether or not that was a good idea.

'Ah! Sh*t—I knew I forgot something.'

He thought with a frown on his cute face.

'Water bottle—I didn't think of keeping water with me around. If I just randomly do strenuous activities without a drink. I might've passed out at this rate who knows where, considering I already lost a lot of sweat from that stretching exercise.'

Hiroto thought in frustration as he placed a hand on his head to display his regret.

'I guess I'll have to end this training earlier than I planned, hahh…'

Letting out a sigh, feeling stupid for not bringing the most essential item in training feeling lazy going back and forth, just accepting to push back testing his [ Adaptable Body ] another day.

Hiroto started leaving the playground, but just when he was walking back he happened to hear voices, one muffled which from what he can tell is a little girl, another sounded like an old man.

'Is there someone nearby about to do the deed?'

Hiroto thought as he had an awkward look on his face, scratching his cute face at the idea.

As he was curious who is so bold enough to do that in the daylight. Not to mention, near the playground where kids hang around.

Hiroto wanting to check out the situation for a peek, of course not that he would usually care.

But from the sound of the two's voices, the contrasting pitch, he's got a feeling somethings not right, one sounded old, the other young, very much so, considering that muffled voice he heard was a sound high-pitched kids near his age can only produce.

So with that said he made his way to the bush surrounded by trees near the playground to find a creepy old uncle pinning over a small girl in the ground, with his hand over the girl's mouth, putting a white piece of cloth on her mouth.

As the young girl struggles to shout, letting out a small muffled cry for help, doing what she can do to no avail. Whilst the old guy is smiling as he starts stripping open the girls clothes.

'Hmm—it wasn't a couple… rather a crime that I'm witnessing huh…'

Hiroto thought as he looked at the situation with a frown on his cute face, as his bright silver-eyes dim darkly at the sight.

"D̴̢̛͕͙͈͙̖͛̎͛̀͐̾͛̍͂͒̓̚i̷͚̳͎̩͇̥̓̏̽̌͑́ͅș̸̢̟̠͎̰͕̗͔̭̳̇͗͂̿̉͜g̵̨͈̱͕̫̲͚̻͙̠̺̺͖̏ͅu̶̢̨͕̲̯̖͉̭͉̝̺̗͔̣̽́͛̾͒̅͌̾̊́̽͌̃̄̀͜s̸̨̡̱̹̬̪͔͔̳̍̕ṫ̴̛͓͕̬̭̼̱͎̮͚̯̖̣̖̽͜į̴̣̼̈́̈͒̏n̸͍̻̬̙̖̠͙̞͎͚͖̳̟͙͕͋̒͆̿̉̈̈́͌̈́͛́̚͠g̵̬̘̅̂̇͊̈́̚̕͝͝"

He muttered with intent of intervening still looking at the pair.

'Who would've thought…'

Hiroto continued thinking with a dark-smile.

'That this would truly come in handy huh….'

As he finished thinking with a sadistic and malevolent smile coming up to his cute face, creating a sort of demonic charm.

And in just a span of a second, Hiroto purchased the knife in the store, as he walks calmly behind the old man that was busy holding down the girl.

"Hello uncle!"

Hiroto said out in the open just when he was very close behind the guy.

"Ahh!?—W-Whose there???"

The old man shouted in surprise let go of the girl he's pinning down, as he looks behind him to who just spoke whilst still in a crouch position from his earlier attempt to r*pe the girl. As at this very moment, he won't have the time to stand up on his feet.

And just when he saw the figure who spoke, Hiroto now in front of him in his level already had his knife pointed near the guys throat.

"Ah! That's very nice of you! Anyways Bye! Bye uncle!—Also… one more thing Goodnight~"

As Hiroto sarcastically 'praised' his help in positioning himself to the knife's range, as it pierced the old guy's throat with the knife with ease that was pointed to him strategically, easily digging into the old-man's flesh as blood starts spilling.

"Ah! This shouldn't be enough to render you completely dead. So—hehe~"

He continued saying with a demonic-looking smile and a pair of glowing silver-eyes on his cute face just as he had made the knife pierce his throat.

As he held the knife and moved it while it was inside, like cutting through butter, created a huge ravine in the r*pist throat.

And to which he then carefully aligns his hand to the exposed spine pulling on it harshly to the point a cracking sound is heard.

As the sight of the spine can be seen to a certain extent, not completely out, buts it's near it.

'If what I did earlier, won't kill you, then this will truly have paralyzed you for the rest of your life, hmm—'

Hiroto thoughtfully made sure he got the job done, making backups for when it didn't finish the job, he created an injury that renders him incapacitated if he ever made it out.

'Afterall, the human body though as fragile as they can be, is quite resilient, surprisingly so.'

As he thought of possibilities, using g*re videos he had watched some time before reincarnation, where some instances although injuries that are very fatal would have sent them to heaven, actually surviving through their ordeals.

"Hnn—this is quite an unsightly image for the eyes hahh~"

Hiroto says as he had a face of disgust looking at the damage he caused, after which he let out a yawn.

And with the first injury, blood started flowing more uncontrollably as the old man's face is in disbelief just moments before his spine was forcefully almost ripped off by Hiroto.

As he tried to cover his wound trying to save himself somehow prior and with a pale face looked at Hiroto as if he was a monster.

All before his eyes start turning lifeless quickly, his hand covering the wound dropping, as he loses to muster the energy or strength to do anything after having been immobilized with the pulling on his spine.

And in just a few seconds eventually all that is left of him is a lifeless corpse that continued to spill blood.

'Who would've thought I would kill someone by the age of two huh! I knew it'd happen someday, but this is quite early… I knew I can be quite apathetic and psychopathic when it comes to certain things, but even then, the sight of a gnarled flesh is not pleasant one.'

Hiroto contemplated as he shook his head at his recent kill. Letting out a sigh at what he had just done.

'Hell, usually those who make their first kill in novels would barf. I'm either desensitized due to watching many g*re videos out of curiosity or I am broken since the start. Most likely the latter to be honest, I can just feel it.'

As Hiroto thought of why the sight of killing wasn't all shocking rather natural for him in someway.

He felt normal doing it, as if he has done it before?

"Hahh~ Now what should I do about this…"

Hiroto let out a sigh, not knowing what to do with this corpse.

"Hey, are you alright?"

He said as he called out to the girl who had her clothing ripped, almost having been violated and defiled.

As he looked at the girl clearly, she was maybe four-to-six-years old, a cute girl with a short-length twin-tail, she was looking at what I had just done in shock as remnants of her tears remained in her face.

Hiroto knowing that this kind of sight is traumatizing to anyone, more so children, hugged the little girl straight to his chest, diverting her attention and eyes from the corpse.

It all went to his favor considering the way he had killed the old man who was trying to do something awful to her was facing me, not her, so she couldn't see all the nitty gritty, the gruesome stuff.

"There—There! You're safe now! It's fine to let it all out~"

As he comforted the girl, acting with a 'kind' and 'gentle' smile on his outrageously handsome face.

So much so, that the little girl didn't become scared of Hiroto who killed someone earlier, rather in her eyes, he became an 'angelic figure' who was her savior to her eyes.

As the little girl finally let go of her worries, not minding what just happened, crying for minutes on end in Hiroto's solid yet small build, right in the chest, as wet marks stain his clothes.

"*Sniff* O-Onii-chan. I w-was so scared."

The little girl sobbed as she gripped him tighter, releasing all of her stress and emotions out. It took a few minutes of more comforting but eventually she stopped crying.

Eventually they got out of the forest, as Hiroto picked up the knife and holds it inside his clothes as he discreetly hides it out of sight unto his inventory.

And while with blood-stained clothes and the little girl's with her ripped clothes went to the streets as people stared at them, more so Hiroto who had immense charm and attraction weirdly with pity and worry seeing their condition thinking they were a bunch of homeless kids.

Hiroto seeing that although the people nearby staring were worried about why they looked like that, had no courage to speak up, went to inform them of their situation and what just happened, shocking those around them, as they realized what just occurred, they gathered around and comforted both of them.

As in just a couple of minutes, police and ambulance arrives after having told them.

And upon arrival they asked the people nearby of what exactly happened, but knowing that these people were not involved directly.

They came up to Hiroto to ask some questions with the little girl he saved. As the police gathered sufficient information from the two and creating a report of the situation. Like the weapon used, such and such.

Both Hiroto's and the girl's family was called and informed of the situation thereafter.

Although Hiroto just outright told them of his parent's number, as for the little girl, with just a short investigation and background check they were able to call home. As time passed, what seemed to be the little girl's family arrived first.

"Rinka!"

As three figures come running towards her, all of them screaming what sounds like the girl's name.

"Are you alright?"

Her mother asked as she went for a hug.

"R—Rinka! I w-was wondering where you went *Sniff*"

Then a little boy came just after, sobbing at finding out his sister was in trouble.

"DAREDA (Who was it?)"

The father of the girl named Rinka was furious at what he was informed of happening shouted out loud at who was going after his daughter.

As law enforcement came to calm him down giving them a deeper explanation of what had just occurred, mentioning that the little boy, Hiroto was his daughter's savior.

And so when the family found out who helped Rinka, the father bowed down and thanked Hiroto.

"Thank you! Thank you! For saving my daughter… Also can I know your name?"

The father thanked repeatedly as he asked for the name of the little boy, his daughter's savior.

While the other two who went with him were hugging Rinka, busy comforting her, as they were not focused on the father and Hiroto.

"Ano—it's fine, no need to apologize so much… once is enough. And as for my name is… Hiro—to!"

Hiroto said as he made hand gestures to calm the father down who was excessively thanking him, and as he scratched his exceptionally cute face, mainly his cheek with his left hand.

"Hiro—to! Hero?—My Hero!"

Rinka muttered as she repeats his name, faintly heard by Hiroto himself, with glimmering eyes, locked onto his figure.

"A-Ano! M-My n-name is R-Rinka! Okino Rinka!"

She shouted in the direction of Hiroto, introducing herself to him, as she blushed and fidgeted at the eyes of Hiroto who locked onto her own.

As he was her hero, her savior, her light and shining armor. It had an immense influence on her very emotions, as the figure of Hiroto becomes engraved to her mind to the point of a deep obsession and struggle to maintain eye-contact with him, without Hiroto's knowledge.

"Okino Rinka…brown hair—with short-twin-tail…"

Hiroto muttered in a low voice that they couldn't hear.

'Hmm—strange and… very familiar'

He thought as the name, the looks, seemed oddly eye-catching, not an attraction based on looks, but more so as if he had met her or seen her elsewhere.

'Although it's just a feeling, my photographic memory should have recognized at this point. Why does she seemed familiar, but if it isn't just a feeling—then that just means it's an issue with me, my memory huh…'

Hiroto thought of why he's got a sense of familiarity with Rinka, the girl he saved, though with that feeling, doubts on whether there is a problem with himself started appearing as a more serious look is imprinted on his cute face.

It didn't seem like he had a problem with it before, not having had any troubles with learning, reading, or really anything involving his experience in this world.

But as he tested at the idea of having memory issues, he tried recalling everything.

As his finding reveals that anything after reincarnation is absolutely clear, not having a hard time remembering, down to the smallest detail.

That is everything… but—memories before reincarnation that has become fuzzy and blurred to a good degree. It felt weird to Hiroto. It was actually as if the perfect memory, the unforgettable ability that he possessed started failing at what it was supposed to do.

Never had he ever forgotten anything ever in his life, so the issues involving forgetting memories of his past life to this extent, is a new experience to him.

As great as the problem presented itself at the discovery in the beginning, eventually with further thinking of memories prior to reincarnation that was once obscured became clearer by the second.

As Hiroto recalls the complete memory, down to the smallest detail, as if his perfect memory was functioning to how it once was, unable to forget the memory that he thought hard on for a second.

And so within the fact that although memories before reincarnation is clouded, it only took a moment to recall once thought deeply to the point that Hiroto stops worrying altogether.

'Hmm—this problem isn't as much of a big issue I had thought it would be earlier. I mean it might have felt that I lost my memory of my past life. It's not necessarily the case. It must have something to do with my reincarnation that it is influencing my memory. Other than that I have no idea what else can be the reason.'

Hiroto contemplated of reasons behind his problem, creating a theory for why.

'Anyways, no matter what memory is obscured, it seems I can easily remember it as long as I put my mind on it for a bit, after which I can never forget it then. So not much of a problem I guess'

As he continued thinking shaking his head.

'Anyways—Rinka? Rinka? Okino… Rinka!'

Hiroto recognizing the name and connecting it to the little girl's face realized why she was so familiar.

As a picture exactly of the little girl down to the smallest of details pops up in his mind.

'Okino… Rinka! The little sister of that small guy whom is her brother, with a name that is spelled the same as my sister being Kazuki Okino, Japanese names can be quite androgynous to either genders, so no surprises there. From the doujinshi and hentai known as Otome Dori! Hahh~'

Hiroto reveals in his thoughts of whom the little girl Rinka was, as he identified her to be from a certain hentai, matching the plot to what had just occurred.

'Hahh~ I never expected that this world I reside in was not just Grisaia… It's a mixed world, a crossover so to speak. Hah~ the world just got a lot more difficult huh…'

As he realized more about the world he lived in not as easy as they may appear, sighing repeatedly as he delved further.

It is not simply just one story taking place, but an unknown amount that will be played at the same time.

And knowing a skill, he had, his involvement and connection to the plot will be strengthened, meaning that Grisaia is not the only thing he will have to worry about.

'And so [ Fated Encounter ] came in really handy yet at the same time, a bothersome ability huh. All the way from the beginning, it makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason. But since saving Rinka was something that no matter the situation, I would've saved her, if I came across even without the skill. I really don't mind. It seems useful in that regard.'

As he examined his decision, path, and the skill that might've played a role in saving Rinka.

"A-Ano! Hiroto—nii! A-Ano."

Rinka whom Hiroto forgot about turned even redder, as she noticed him having stared at her for a long time, fidgeting at his actions, as she looked at his face from time-to-time like a shy person trying to not make eye-contact with someone he or she likes.

"Ah! My bad, ano—Rinka-chan! If it's okay with me calling you by your first name."

Hiroto recollects himself, as he said amiably and politely referred to her with her first name with a 'kind' and 'gentle' smile.

And with getting so close together, name-wise alongside the traumatizing experience beforehand, Rinka blushes even further, as the name, face, voice, and everything about Hiroto fills her mind, permanently and to a great extent.

Of course, unbeknownst to Hiroto's knowledge of this happening, not having thought of the influence he's had with Rinka, the small minor actions that he wouldn't exactly expect to have a big deal of impact on her to such a degree.
