Before Gongsun Gong could finish his word, from outside of the main hall a commotion could be heard caused by Gongsun Du who had become conscious, after receiving news about what happened while he was passed out from his wife, he was consumed by anger and not caring about his wife protest he heads toward the Governor's main hall to teach his unfilled son a lesson, and also to meet Lie Fan so he could finally see this famed person with his own eyes.

Gongsun Gong hearing his father's voice was surprised at first and then he frowned because he didn't know that his father had become conscious, no one reported it to him and this means that some of the people he put on guard his father weren't truly loyal to him.

While Gongsun Gong was talking to himself, Lie Fan was surprised to hear the voice and even though he didn't know whose voice it was, he was sure that it was Gongsun Du from the way he spoke about Gongsun Gong and well he announced his name so it must be Gongsun Du.

Everyone in the half was also surprised, they didn't expect Gongsun Du could leave his residence and before they could even say a word, Gongsun Du barged in entering the main hall and the guards guarding outside were following him trying to stop him.

Gongsun Du with his face full of anger marched toward Gongsun Gong, ignoring everyone in the hall but Lie Fan he took a peek once or twice before focusing on Gongsun Gong, looking him right in the eye as he didn't expect his own son would do something like this.

No words were exchanged between the two of them as they looked eye to eye, but everyone in the room could feel the tension radiating from the two of them which affected the whole atmosphere in the main hall.

Lie Fan who was watching the exchange of eye contact between the two was intrigued as to where this would go, and before he could toward Jia Xu and the others to see their reaction, Gongsun Du made a movement he took the cup from the table in front of him and throw whatever inside it to Gongsun Gong.

Gongsun Gong's cup was full of wine he planned to use to toast Lie Fan, now drenched him from his head toward his torso and this caused an uproar in the main hall as they didn't expect Gongsun Du would be so bold to do so knowing that he doesn't have any power.

The argument between Gongsun Gong and Gongsun Du became bigger and bigger when suddenly Lie Fan interjected their argument, which immediately caused both Gongsun Gong and Gongsun Du to stop arguing with each other.

His words also caused a heavy atmosphere that immediately enveloped the main hall, even though Lie Fan came here with just his bodyguards and advisors, outside of the Governor's Castle his battalion was waiting for him with Xu Rong.

Outside of Liaodong, his army was waiting in full force, and the Gongsun Clan Army had been subdued and couldn't be ordered around as their line of commands had supported the motion to surrender to Lie Fan.

Not only they will not heed the Gongsun Clan order, but they will also support Lie Fan in sieging Liaodong in case Lie Fan truly wants to take it by force. Gongsun Gong realized that his actions with his father had annoyed Lie Fan, so he ordered the guards to remove Gongsun Du by force and and him back to his residence.

Gongsun Du was trying to fight back against the guards while shouting words of insults and curses toward Gongsun Gong and Lie Fan for colluding with each other, and hoping that the two of them would go to hell and die a horrible death.

Lie Fan's Bodyguard was angered when they heard what Gongsun Du said, all of them wanted to go toward Gongsun Du but were stopped by Lie Fan who raised his hand, showing that he didn't care about what Gongsun Du had just said.

He has long heard people cursing and insulting him so he doesn't care about it a single bit, he was the winner in the end and the ones insulting him were the losers, so as the winner he could be more open hearted against the grieving losers.

Soon the hall quieted down with Gongsun Du removed from the hall, no one was speaking a word or even moving from their position or moving their body, as they didn't want to accidentally annoy Lie Fan.

Gongsun Gong who knew that he was part of the reason Lie Fan became annoyed took a deep breath and tried to break the heavy atmosphere by proposing a toast to Lie Fan to welcome him and wish him a long healthy life.

This toast was immediately supported by all of his retainers, followed by Jia Xu, Xun You, and Chen Gong wishing for Lie Fan's health and long life was something they wanted to happen.

All of them were much older than Lie Fan, especially Jia Xu, and Lie Fan's journey was still long, much longer than them so they hoped that he wouldn't die earlier than the three of them.

Seeing that everyone toasted him, Lie Fan stood up and accepted all of the good wishes and drank the cup of wine in one gulp, which received cheers from everyone in the hall and everyone also drank their cup.

When the toast ended, Gongsun Gong then proceeded to continue his previous statement concerning the repayment he would make to repay Lie Fan's generosity concerning Gongsun Kang, and that he would abide by the previous promise he had told before being interrupted by his father.

Lie Fan: "Oh I'm sure that you will abide by your promise Gongsun Gong, now let's talk about our main topic shall we, about the surrender of the Gongsun Clan to me."

Gongsun Gong: "Yes Lord Lie Fan, like my generals have informed you when they conveyed my invitation to you, we will surrender and pledge our allegiance to you Lord Lie Fan, but I hope that we become like the Lu Clan in Lujiang where we retain our army to expand your domain outside of China."

Jia Xu, Xun You, and Chen Gong received Gongsun Du's thanks, and with the main topic already passed with great results and as his expectation, Gongsun Gong then asked Lie Fan and his party to taste the delicacies prepared for them as a celebration.

Not one of Lie Fan's retainers tasted the delicacies before Lie Fan took his chopsticks and tried the food first, after Lie Fan gave some praise to the food prepared then they followed suit in eating the food in from of them. Gongsun Gong was happy with the reaction received from Lie Fan, he didn't care if it was just a formality or really a compliment as he was in a happy mood with the Gongsun Clan being saved from a nightmare path.
