3 A Perfect Alibi
The following day, Weifeng did show up for his daily training. He decided to stay at his residence. For some reason unknown to him, he really wanted to join the school camping.
However, he was not sure why he was so persistent despite the disapproval of the people around him. It was actually the first time that he felt the need to defy his parent's words. He wanted to step out of his comfort zone.
Perhaps, after years of living under the protection of his parents, he just wanted to breathe.
In the afternoon, his professor and personal guards quickly informed his father about his unusual behavior.
After Chairman Jinzi learned about it, he directly called his son.
"Son, you did not attend your classes? Is it your rut? How are you?"
The voice of his father sounded uneasy. But his words made Weifeng feel more grim.
'This rut issue again! Unbelievable!'
No matter how many times the doctor explained his condition, he still could not understand why it was such a big deal.
In his mind, all alpha experienced a rut. Their worry was too much for him to bear.
"Dad, all of you only care about my rut! Son, train to become the strongest so you can control your rut! Son, don't go out of the city just in case your rut period comes... Hah! Dad, I'm tired of this. You, mom, the family doctor, those bodyguards... Please let me breathe!" Weifeng muttered aggressively.

"Weifeng, this is for your own sake! Son, just bear with this until your first rut!"
"There is no reason for me to go to school, dad. If I can't even act like a normal student there, then, let me just stay at home. I won't go to school starting today. I won't go to my training. I won't even take a step out of this house from now on!"
"T-This... Don't you think that this is a bit immature, son? Do I need to remind you of your age? It felt like I am talking to a toddler instead of a senior student!"
"Dad, that's exactly the point! I'm already at this age. I can make my own decisions!"
Weifeng was extremely determined to participate in the camping. Such determination was something that he had definitely acquired from his mother.
With his determination, he devised this plan. If he could show his parents how tight they were to him, then, they would eventually realize and cut some slack and give him freedom.
And the only way he could make a point to them was by using his training and study. It was something that their family prided on. His parents would definitely allow him to mess with his studies!

"Fine! Go to your school and attend that camping! But, don't blame us if something happened to you! As your parents, we have done our best to protect you since your birth. And if you lost your sanity because of your pheromones... Ah! Never mind! It's your life after all!" Chairman Jinzi exclaimed and abruptly disconnected his call before his son could speak a word.

Even though their conversation was ended, Weifeng still managed to speak a response, "I know you are just protecting me, dad. But, this protection had caused so much embarrassment and ridicules to me. No matter what accomplishment I do, I felt like I just live in your shadow. I don't want to continue living like this..."
Weifeng took his bag and stepped out of his room. The eight personal guards stationed outside their door quickly bowed at him. But, he only wave his hand and said, "Dad had already agreed to my decision. I'll be participating in the school camping. All of you can take a temporary vacation."

"Young master, the chairman will fire us if you stepped out of this house without us accompanying you. We will lose our job, young master," one of the guards worriedly stated.
"I felt bad. But, there are a lot of companies that you could work for," Weifeng expressed. At that point, he had made up his mind. Even if they would use guilt trip on him, he would not change his plan.
"Young master, you have really grown up. This must be the last time we will see you. Please be careful out there," another personal guard spoke with a sympathetic expression on his face.
Weifeng gave them a final glance before he went out of his residence.
Unbeknownst to him, his mother and the family doctor were actually watching him from the window. Mrs. Jinzi was crying silently. Her husband had already instructed them not to interfere with Weifeng's decision.
"I can only hope that he will come back safe from the camping trip, Mrs. Jinzi. You should have followed my recommendations back then. Things would have been easier," the doctor exhaled loudly.
Her harsh words seemed to have just passed the ears of Mrs. Jinzi. Or perhaps, she was too preoccupied with her cries that she could not focus on what the doctor had said.

"Well, this is expected since he is an inborn Alpha. I just realized that I am also selfish. I don't want my hard work to go in vain. Hehe... In fact, I am quite surprised that it took him this long to demand his freedom. You and the Chairman raised him well, Mrs. Jinzi. It's time for him to stand on his own feet," the doctor spoke again. But, her tone had become gentler, as if consoling the worried mother beside her.

"You don't need to comfort me, doctor. In my eyes, my son is always my child. Even if he becomes an adult, I need to protect him always," Mrs. Jinzi murmured as she wiped the tears on her face.

"Quanrong, are you sure it's okay for me to stay here until the school camping?" Weifeng asked after he reached the family home of his Alpha friend.
"Bro, this is once in a blue moon! Who knows when you can come over and visit my place again? Don't worry, feel free to stay here as long as you want," his friend responded with a wide grin on his face. "Your parents really agreed for you to participate in the school camping? Did you tell them the reason why we are camping at that location?"
"No... I did not tell them. And only a few students knew why that location was the venue of the camping. So, they may not find out about it. My parents are only worried about my first rut," Weifeng responded casually.
"Yeah... well, your rut period is next year. So, just enjoy this year and create memories. If in case you lost control of your pheromones next year, at least, you somehow had good memories to look back to!" Quanrong chuckled. The condition of Weifeng was not a secret. Most Alpha families were aware of his unstable pheromones too. It's no surprise that his friend would sometimes joke about it.
Weifeng could only roll his eyes and subsequently shook his head. "Bro, don't curse me. I can definitely overcome my first rut. I've been training my body since I was young for it!"
After some time, Quanrong's expression turned solemn. "Anyway... don't you feel absurd about the second child of the Lan family? He actually spread a rumor among his classmates that his eldest sister, Chulian, was not studying overseas. Instead, she was living in seclusion because she is subdominant!"
It was in fact the reason why the school camping activity was decided. Because of the rumors, many Alphas on the campus were curious and wanted to check if it was true.
However, the entire land of this mountain was privately owned by the Lan family. They could not trespass on the place. But, they could pretend to organize a camping activity and ask permission from Physician Lan to use the location as the venue.
In fact, Physician Lan did not hesitate to permit the activity without knowing that it was just a perfect alibi.
"Chulian was pampered by her parents. Sending her overseas for her studies is really suspicious. I think that his Alpha brother was telling the truth. Maybe, she really manifested into subdominant and was sent to seclusion?" Quanrong expressed.
"It had been a year since the news of Chulian's overseas trip. I am also curious about it. I've been reading some articles about subdominants after I heard the rumor about her," Weifeng commented.
"Bro, have you met Chulian before? Why do you sound like you two are close friends?" Quanrong playfully questioned.
"How could I meet the first child of the Lan family? I have been on training grounds all my life! And when I am in school, all I see were my personal guards and you! I am just curious about her pheromones."
Quanrong pondered for a while and nodded his head. "Well, if you have not met Chulian before, then, even if you two crossed paths in the mountains, you'll not recognize her, bro."
Weifeng raised his eyebrow and smirked at his friend. "Well, it does not matter. She is not the main reason why I am determined to participate the camping. I just want to make my own decisions and take a breath from my parent's overly excessive protection."
