Chapter 3- 1st Time Transformation

A couple of weeks has passed since their 1st day in the academy, nothing special happened during those weeks. While Menma spent most of his time at the library and the training grounds learning other Jutsus that his not familiar with.

Naruto on the other hand has a lot of free time, as he was walking down the streets of Konoha. He was approached by three of his classmates, telling him that they will become his friends if he goes out of the village to loot a corpse of a ninja then brings the loot back to them. Of course, this was a trick by the trio.

Unbeknownst to them, this scene was seen by Shikamaru and Choji. As impulsive as Naruto to prove himself, he knew Menma wouldn't let him do this since it was dangerous. So Naruto thought of a way to get past Menma.

He decided to pretend to Menma that he overslept and skip tomorrow's class.

(The day after)

As Menma does his usual morning routine preparing their breakfast and lunch then trying to wake Naruto up. He notices something off about Naruto, Worried that Menma would catch him he began to sweat. This causes Menma to think that Naruto was sick, so before he left with the usual note he placed some cold medicines right beside his bedside table next to Naruto clock.

As he arrived at his classroom Menma still couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. As Iruka checked the attendance Menma mention that Naruto wasn't gonna come in today.

During their breaks, Menma decides to check on Naruto with his clone to see if he was alright. Once the clone disperses got the information from the clone. He was worried about where could Naruto had gone to.

While he was thinking he overhears the conversation of the trio

"Did Naruto chicken out?" one of the trios said

He wonders why were they talking about his brother, then it dawned on him who the trio was. Angered by what they did to Naruto, feeling the same energy he felt before when Naruto was beaten by the three bullies.

He rushes to the trio punches one of the trios in the face then strikes his knee into the other one's stomach. Then asked the remaining one.

"Which direction did you tell my brother to go?!" covered in the murderous aura as he asked

Seeing a giant fox behind Menma remaining one was scared shitless after he told Menma where he could find the corpse. Menma punched him on the nose.

Knowing the direction Naruto was at Menma then rushes to hoping that Naruto hasn't encountered any enemy ninjas.

Due to the commotion, some of his classmates reported it to Iruka. While asking what happened, he wondered what could cause Menma to be Angry his thoughts were broken by Shikamaru mentioning what he overheard yesterday from the trio.

Worried about his two students Iruka then told the rest of his students to self-study. Then he rushes in the direction where Naruto and Menma can be.

Skipping class Shikamaru and Choji were caught by Kakashi, threaten by being tattled by Kakashi they explain what happened in the academy.

-The Hill Outside Konoha-

Naruto was running away from three enemy kunoichi, although his ninjutsu failed to distract the enemies for long it can still buy him a few seconds but his body conditions were not good. Due to him not being able to control his charka properly he had wasted a lot of his chakra. (Emphasis on the OWN)

Unlike him, the three are trained ninjas and due to one of his comments after his ninjutsu failed to cause them to be pissed at him. Making them use ninjutsu at him, panicked this in turn caused Naruto to fall off the hillside.

Hearing Naruto yells as he fell, Menma had locked into his location, as soon as he saw Naruto who was still dizzy from the fall. Menma heaved a sigh of relief as he found Naruto. Suddenly sensing incoming Menma already knew who they were.

"Kagebunshin no Jutsu"

"Take Naruto back to the village!" Menma said to his clone

Menma knowing the risk of using the Kagebunshin no Jutsu did not make as many clones as Naruto in the series.

As his clone left with Naruto. Menma was enraged seeing his brother in a bad state and all his pent up anger and hatred he had felt over the years overwhelmed him, his anger of the treatment that he and his brother received by the people around the village.

Suddenly Menma's eyes turn red as his body was surrounded by red charka and his hair slowly turns black.

-Menma's Subconscious-

As Menma opened his eyes, he notices that he was in an underground complex, with pipes running along with the ceiling and various hallways. The floor is flooded with a shallow layer of water. Similar to Naruto's subconscious shown in the series.

As he looked around his subconscious saw the huge nine-tailed fox(Kurama) behind the seal. Kurama-yin half was identical to the original but has a darker color of fur.

Kurama thought it was the perfect opportunity to influence his host Menma, as Kurama had previously weakened the seal at a time when Menma angered. So Kurama thought it was the perfect time to influence Menma to unseal him from his cage.

Seeing Menma's indifferent expression Kurama is mistaken that Menma was in a trance. As Kurama was luring Menma to come near the cage and unseal him.

Menma smirk "Am not as deceivable as you think"

This response shocked Kurama, he figured that Menma couldn't control his emotional state. Menma knew that he couldn't utilize Kurama charka at all unless in times of great anger.

-Reality-

Utilizing his one-tail transformation Menma is sure that he is capable of handling three ninjas. Using the element of surprise Menma used Teleportation Jutsu without the smoke(Similar to Shisui Uchiha).

As he appeared behind the three oncoming kunoichis as he proceeds to knocked the three unconscious, they tied them to a tree.

As Menma returns to normal he suddenly felt exhausted, he figured that it was due to him using Kurama's charka. As he slowly falls someone caught him before he hit the ground.
