Chapter 10-Aftermath of the battle

As the scene played out the same in the series. As Haku recovered Zabuza's body in the guise of disposing of the body, Kakashi fell to the ground exhausted having overuse his Sharingan. Then continue escorting Tazuna to his home to relax.

Menma had actually created a clone to follow Haku and Zabuza. As Haku treated Zabuza, Menma appears before them.

"Zabuza the Demon of the Hidden Mist, having staged a failed coup d'etat against the 4th Mizukage. And now working as a mercenary to earn enough funds for a second attempt in the future"

While Menma continued, Menma explains that the 4th Mizukage was under a powerful Genjutsu and is currently being manipulated by someone powerful.

"Although Ao will eventually dispel the Genjutsu and the 4th Mizukage will die 3 years from now. And the Hidden mist will change under Mei Terumī reign as 5th Mizukage. So all you have to do is wait for it."

"What makes you think I'll believe you?"

"I know that Haku here is able to use ice release as he is for the Yuki clan" hearing greatly shocked Zabuza and Haku.

"But if you still don't believe me, you are free to come after us. But you and Haku will die. And Gatou won't hold his end of the agreement"

"How do you know all this?" Zabuza asked.

"You wouldn't believe me even if I tell you." as Menma clone dissipate.

In his past life, Menma felt pity towards them as they died. Hoping that they will listen to him, as they arrived at Tazuna's house. As they rested Sakura asked further what hunter-nin, Kakashi explains what hunter-nin do then slept.

Naruto tried to see Kakashi face under the mask, but Kakashi suddenly opens his right eye scaring Naruto and Sakura. As he felt something was wrong and tries to recount the event, seeing if he had missed something.

"What's wrong, sensei" Naruto asked

"Hunter-nin usually dispose of the body they had killed on the spot"

"So what?" Sakura asked

"Meaning that the one you who took Zabuza's body was not a Hunter-nin." Menma pointed out

"Exactly, if he needed proof he just taken Zabuza's head. And the weapon he used to kill Zabuza"

"No way" as Sasuke came to a realization

"Exactly" Kakashi responded

"What are you guys talking about?" Tazuna asked

"Most like Zabuza is still alive" shocking Naruto, Sakura, and Tazuna.

"What do you mean?!!" Naruto asked

"Didn't you check and said he was dead!!" Sakura said

As Kakashi explains about momentary death and the needles that Haku used. And could not ignore the possibility that Zabuza was alive, Kakashi suggested that they train until he gets better.

"But what if he attacks suddenly?" Sakura asked

"It will take a while before his body returns to normal," Kakashi explains

"So we train until then. Sounds like a lot of fun" Said Naruto

"That not fun," Inari responded to Naruto

"Who the hell are you?! Naruto asked

"Oh!!! Inari!!! Where were you?" Tazuna asked Inari

"Welcome back grampa." Inari greeted as he hugged his grandfather.

"Inari say hello to these people, they were the ones who protected your grandpa," Tsunami said to her son.

"Mom. They are going to die" Inari said to his mother instead of greeting them.

"What did you say you little brat!!!" Naruto shouted at Inari

"There's no way you can win against Gatou."

"You brat!!! I'll..." as Naruto tried to hit Inari but was held by Menma

"Why are you getting pissed at a child! Idiot!!" Sakura reprimanded Naruto

"Listen here Inari. I am a hero that will one day become Hokage!! I don't know this Gatou guy, but he's nothing compared to me and my brother!!" Naruto declared

"Pfft. What are you, stupid? There's no such thing as a hero!!"

"What!!!!" Naruto yelled as Menma held him back.

"If you don't want to die, you should leave," Inari said as he left the room.

Tazuna apologized to them for Inari's behavior, as Naruto followed Inari upstairs. He was just about to open the door of Inari's room but stops midway as he heard Inari cried.

Outside of Tazuna's house, Kakashi begins their training. Kakashi explains to them that they will be practice controlling their charka, explaining to them how important charka controls. He demonstrated the Tree Climbing Practice by climbing on the tree with his leg clutches, then threw 4 kunai at them to use to mark their progress.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura rush to climb the tree while Menma waited for them to finish. Seeing the same result in the series, Sakura successfully made it to the top while Sasuke and Naruto failed.

Menma had already practiced this in the past, knowing that Naruto would absolutely fail due to him having 3 Charkas inside Naruto as he had problems handling the charkas in him. As he slowly climbed the tree.

Seeing Menma having no problem as he walked to the top of the tree he was assigned. Shocked Kakashi as he guesses the reason for Naruto's failure was due to the Kyuubi's interference, thinking that Menma would have the same results as Naruto.

As Menma reaches the top of the tree, Kakashi taunted both Naruto and Sasuke.

"It seems that Menma is the closest to becoming Hokage. Unlike a certain someone" "I guess the Uchiha clan isn't worth much either." Kakashi taunted both Naruto and Sasuke, as Menma reaches the top of the tree.

Hearing this Naruto was determined to defeat Sasuke and catch up to his brother.

-Zabuza's Hideout-

As Zabuza rested on a bed, he was looked after by Haku. Stilling thinking about what Menma said earlier, deciding if he should take Menma's advice. As they were visited by Gatou along with 2 of his bodyguards

"It seems that you come back defected. It looks like Hidden Mist ninjas are pretty pathetic. You can't even avenge your men? And Call yourself the Devil? Don't make laugh!" Gatou commented as his bodyguards prepared to attack.
