Testing

"Haruko turned into a monster!" Naruto shouted while pointing at the metal man.

"I didn't see the Rabbit mask use anything remotely similar to that." Kakashi added while waiting for a response from Haruko.

This was a strange experience for Haruko, while these power's existed in the game, and had some information about them it didn't include how strange this would feel to him.

' Holy fuck it's like I don't have nerve endings on any of my outer shell. I can't feel anything on the surface of this armor. Even stranger, most of my organs are missing? How the fuck does that work? No intestines, stomach, spleen, kidney's liver. The only things still present are heart, lungs, and brain, and a smidgen of a nerve system. How am I even functioning right now?'

Kakashi, and Naruto watched as Haruko felt all around his body, and Kakashi had to stiffen a chuckle as he watched this 4 ft tall metal monster lose its shit while checking itself over.

"Guy's! My stomach is gone!" Haruko announced, and despite the existential dread that sentence came from, Kakashi burst out laughing as the faceplate on Haruko's head morphed into one of shock while he held the sides of his head.

"OH NO! How are you going to eat Haru?!?"

"I DON'T KNOW!!"

"Just turn back, you absolute nimwit."

"Oh yeah" Haruko calmed down for a moment, and the tendrils writhed all throughout his body, shrinking him back down slightly before he frantically checked his stomach.

"It's all back! Oh Lord, that was terrifying!"

"Was it hurting?" Kakashi asked with an amount of concern.

"The opposite, I could hardly feel anything. It seems like the armor takes everything away that could make me weak?"

"Huh, Your powers seem to be some strange mix of metal, and biological components." Kakashi exclaimed while holding his chin.

"Anyway, that was another goon sent our way from Danzo, which means he knows we're here." Haruko explained.

"How could he have found out so quickly?" Naruto asked while grabbing the sides of his head in shock."

"Obviously he had somebody watching us from the beginning, but I didn't notice them. Did you Haruko?

"Not even a little bit, even more concerning, Rabbit doesn't have any memories of this spy. Rabbit also wasn't the spy as he had received his orders just an hour ago." Haruko added while closing his eyes.

"He's testing us, I wouldn't be surprised if we're being watched now. Assume the enemy knows about your armor, don't rely on it as a trump card. How powerful do you think it is?"

"Not the slightest clue sensei." Haruko responded.

"Naruto! Test it out." Kakashi ordered.

Naruto didn't hesitate, He immediately threw a haymaker at Haruko before he had even changed. The hit connected, and Haruko's face lit up in surprise as his body practically ragdolled into the ground before he bounced back up.

'Two things. One since when was Naruto strong enough to hit me like that. Second payback is a bitch.'

Naruto's eyes lit up in surprise as he watched Haruko bounce off the ground before checking himself over. Haruko stood up, and the tendrils flashed around his body turning him into the armored metal monstrosity.

"Before you guy's get into an all out brawl, what just happened, Naruto?"

"You know how you had me walking on tree's, and stuff. I put chakra in my fist, and arm, and then boom!"

"Oh you learned that on your own? Good, you're going to need it."

Before Kakashi had finished his statement Haruko had already launched himself towards Naruto. The only issue was while Haruko was very fast in his base form, he was not anywhere near as quick while armored. Naruto had more than enough time to react as he felt the ground shaking slightly. Ducking away from the outstretched fist, Naruto twisted around, and threw his strongest kick at the side of Haruko's head. A heavy thud rang out as Haruko's head moved slightly, and Naruto's leg bounced off completely.

"Huh, it's pretty strong, I didn't feel a thing!" Haruko exclaimed while looking down on Naruto who had crumpled to the ground holding his foot, a red area was clearly visible.

"OWOWOWOWOWOWOW" Naruto was shouting while holding his foot.

"Completely stops an attack from a four year old with a massive amount of chakra, and a talent for body strengthening. Come here Haruko."

Haruko lugged himself over to Kakashi, and stood still bracing himself. Kakashi threw out a casual punch, which just created a thunk noise. He then reared back, and used all his physical strength without chakra, and sent the metal boy flying back into a tree.

"KAKASHI! That could have hurt!"

"Did it?"

"No, but that isn't the point."

"So you can handle the full strength of a jonin not using chakra strengthening."

"While it didn't hurt, I can tell if I took another couple of hits like that my armor would break, and I will have a bruise from that, but I can feel it healing now. The armor is also healing, but slower than I am."

"That's not too bad. A good life saving tool. Will it get better as you grow?"

"I have a feeling, aging, and absorbing more biomass will improve it significantly."

"Hm, in spite of your offensive abilities manifesting first, I think defense is your strong suit."

"Well I kind of forced that outcome? I don't know how best to explain it, but the biomass I absorb can be directed towards different things, with both the people I've absorbed I've diverted all of it to protecting my life as that's a bit more important for now."

"Good thinking Haru. Do you want to test how it holds up against jutsu?"

"Yes, but let me have a clone do it. I don't want a lightning hand going through my chest."

Kakashi's face morphed, and a look of grief covered his eyes for a moment before he nodded. Haruko created a clone, and chose to divert all but 5% of his chakra towards it, increasing its durability to nearly his own level. While shadow clone jutsu cannot do this proto clone jutsu can due to him using his biomass to improve the clone. The drawback is while his powers are focused on the clone he himself cannot use them.

Haruko took several steps to the side allowing his clone to transform. Kakashi gave him a look of acknowledgement before weaving hand signs, and a massive ball of fire consumed the clone. Seconds passed, and The clone was standing still mostly unharmed as there was nothing on the armor to burn up, the concussive force had knocked the clone down, and the armor was severely singed turned completely black, but he had lived, and the regeneration was slowly taking effect.

"I could take another one of those before dying." The clone answered Kakashi's incoming question before it was asked.

"Out of curiosity can you use the sharingan while using that? I can't see your eyes as it's a solid plate covering your face."

This time Haruko answered. "Yes, but it's much more limited as I can't make eye contact to use genjutsu, but I still retain all the other benefits."

"Good to know, can you move faster while in that form?"

"I have a feeling in the future I'll be able to augment, and change the armor. For now it's in the middle. Strong defense, but weaker speed. I can tell I can exchange one, and another. I could be faster, but less bulky, or I could increase the bulk, and nearly remove my ability to move. I can't do it now though, I'm missing something either I need more time, or mass."

"Sound's good. For now how does your chakra work while in that form?"

"My chakra pathways are slightly receded, but I have full access to my normal abilities.Clone, please demonstrate."

The clone nodded, and its arm changed into a blade, though it was different from usual. Instead of his arm becoming the smaller sized blade over half his arm had changed, it now nearly touched the ground, and in addition it was angled out further, nearly seeming like he was holding the sword rather than it jutting out of his arm.

"I didn't know my sword had changed. Neat."

The clone nodded, and used proto clone creating another one of himself. The new clone melted down shortly after though, and rejoined the original clone.

"Seem's the chakra expenditure of maintaining the armor,sharingan, and the blade is too much to facilitate multiple clones as of this point." The clone spoke, and then attempted to use shunshin. The clone's body nearly disappeared, and smacked into the ground skidding for several feet before bumping into a tree.

"The weight of the armor seems to prevent shunshin from operating as normal." The clone said its last sentence before popping."

"Looks like using these abilities on a clone isn't cost efficient as they can't regain chakra passively like I can. My natural regen allows me to easily use sharingan, and the blade at all times if I wanted to, but with the armor added on it'll slowly drain. However my clones don't seem to regenerate like I do."

Kakashi nodded at Haruko's observations before motioning the kids towards the house.

"Go on guys, get some sleep, I'll keep a watch to keep us safe." Kakashi then performed the summoning jutsu, and sent most of the dog's out on patrol.

"Pakkon, stay with the boy's, and alert us if anything happens."

"Sure, kid. Let's go boys."
