10 Side Arc 1: I-ISLAND Crisis, Water Surface Strike.

[Kaito POV]

It's been 3 days since our arrival to I-ISLAND and I can understand why so many people are hooked to this place, quality food, amazing gadgets, competitions for kids and adults, the whole place is a big theme park in that you can live in.

However, while I was in the playground (I don't know why mother leaves so much but I really hope its not something bad) I overheard a conversation about raising the security and that some sort of "package" will be arriving in 2 days.

Don't know about you guys but I didn't like the sound of that at all, so I decided to think about that to foresee any unexpected circumstance.

In I-ISLAND are a total of 16 auction houses and more being constructed, 3 of those that are near the hotel we are staying in and the other two close to this playground specifically.

I feared for the worst, if they wanted to keep safe everyone then the best chance would be to close the playground and focus on the auction unless, the target are the kids and not the items at the auction.

Honestly my mind right now is a complete mess I don't know if I'm being paranoic or am right but if I can save someone I will.

[2 days later]

I was at home preparing for the possible emergency at the playground while mom was still in her "reunions". I took some knives from the kitchen, an extinguisher and some gloves.

Since the moment we starting gaining money on a daily basis I started saving for moments like this. I sneaked from my room and put some spare clothes that I will burn after this to prevent proof.

[Playground]

A part of me is nervous and another one is scared, but I need to do this for 2 reasons. First: I need combat experience and Second: I have to help others if they are in need, of course I sent a letter to the police to inform of my thoughts, then is their decision if they listen or not.

Things are going just as I hoped it's been 2 hours since the auction started and nothing has happened, the auction takes around 2 hours to be over so I decided to leave until….

*BOOOOOOOOOM*

'Typical, I decide to go and the shit happens right when I'm packing' is what I thought before dashing towards the playground.

I saw some thugs speaking with one of the guards of the playground and he let them in, either he was an inside spy or he was paid for this.

I sneaked up the guard and smacked him in the neck, the hit was enough to knock him out. My natural strength was improving but I knew I had to do better, I pulled my mask (it looks like the typical robber's mask) tied the guard and entered the building.

When I entered the first thing, I heard was the shouts of children in terror, with a mixture of fear and nervousness I went in and saw them, they put bandages on the kid's faces and tied them up to prevent them from escaping.

While they were calling for ransom I sneaked in the room and hid under a pile of plushies and toys.

After a while they left and I got out, my first objective was to take out the cameras to prevent them from surveying the area and so I did. One by one all of the cameras were destroyed.

After locating an air vent, I went to the kids to free them.

"Who's there" asked a terrified kid.

"don't worry I'm here to take you kids out of here but I'll need all of you to remain silent, ok?" I replied changing my voice in order for it to sound more teenager like.

All the kids nodded and followed the plan, when they asked about my short stature, I just lied saying it was my quirk and easily enough they bought it.

One by one I threw took them to the vents and told them to wait there quietly, I didn't have any way of getting the blueprints of the playground so the best course of action was to hide them somewhere while reinforcements came.

After all of them were hiding in the vents I shut it down and stared at the door. Of course, I was scared I have 0 combat experience, even with photographic memory and training nothing beats real battle experience.

And so, I opened the door and hid behind the wall beside it, when the door opened the grunts that were guarding it were shocked and took battle stances, both of them had semi-automatic rifles and a combat knife.

Once they saw that the kids were missing, they let down their guards and dashed inside, and that was my cue to strike.

With a swift slide I strike at grunt 1 leg piercing it with a knife making him fall, once he falls grunt 2 tried to point at me but I was faster and drop-kicked he's face, making him lose balance and fall as swell needless to say they were pissed but I knocked out grunt 2 with an axe kick.

Unfortunately grunt 1 was close enough to me to slash me with a knife.

*Slash* *drip…. drip…. drip*

I had a cut in my face, it was painful but bearable so I went through it and knocked grunt 1 with a punch.

After seizing both grunts and taking their weapons I took care of my wound and cleaned any trace of my DNA, can't be too cautious about this, I decided to do sneaky takedowns for the rest of the grunt to prevent any unnecessary fights, I clearly overestimated myself and that caused this wound that'll be a pain to explain to my mother.

After taking down all the grunts only the boss was missing, suddenly I heard sirens outside the building so I knew the police was outside but when I was about to open the door the boss appeared right next to it.

*BAAAAAAAM!!!!*

I received a punch straight to my face and crashed into the door, the boss was going for another hit but I barely managed to dodge making him open the door.

Once the door was open, I was facing the boss but the police was taking aim at us.

"Raise your hands and lay down or we'll shoot," said an officer.

I immediately took a rock with a note attached and threw it slowly at the officer.

They thought it was and attack (and honestly who wouldn't) and started shooting. I managed to get inside fast enough to prevent the bullet rain but the boss didn't, I didn't want to kill him I hope he is ok.

[Third person POV]

From the smoke formed by the bullet storm was a figure completely intact, the villain boss raised he's punched and smashed it to the floor, making it shatter.

The shockwave took out everything both officers and cars, when one of the officers crashed into a tree, he saw the note attached to the rock Kaito threw earlier and read the note, after realizing the seriousness of the situation he decided to call heroes as backup.

Unfortunately, it would take time for them to arrive so Kaito was alone against the villain.

Knowing the situation Kaito was in, he didn't hesitate any longer and went against the villain with his knifes aiming to its legs, it connected but there was no damage the villain prepared to attack Kaito again but he foresaw this and backflipped out of the way.

"You are a slippery and resistant rat; you know that right?" the villain said.

"You call me a rat but you didn't go for the auction's items or the ones who attended it but rather decided to for the children, doesn't that make you a pedophile?" Kaito replied believing he burned him.

Furiously he rushed at Kaito and he did the same, when they were close to each other Kaito threw a knife at him, he dodges with eased and threw a punch with he's right hand to Kaito's face while he had his other knife in his right hand as well.

It was nerve-cracking, before the punch connected Kaito let himself fall and slide through the villain's legs and thought 'Water breathing improvised move: Water surface strike' he strikes the knife at the villain's crotch and the knife that was flying had a string attached to it, Kaito took the string and pulled it, while the villain was grunting in pain Kaito seize the moment and strike the villain's lumbar spine to incapacitate him.

The battle was over after Kaito chopped him in the neck, the villain's quirk allowed him to have great power and defense however it seemed that the more power he used the less power he could use later and that allowed Kaito to win.

After retrieving the knifes and giving some basic medical treatment to everyone (including the villain) Kaito took his leave. He went to a black alley and changed clothes and burned the ones he used for the mission, after cleaning the knifes and sharpen them back to top shape he went back home.

The only goof thing that happened tonight was that he sneaked back to his room and he's mother was not there.

[Kaito POV]

This was intense I always knew it wouldn't be easy but it seems I was underestimating the job of a hero, well now I have to make excuses and tend to my wounds. I had several bruises in my back and I noticed that I was missing a tooth, for my fortune it was a baby tooth so no biggie.

If I had received another hit I would've ended with a concussion, my head is killing me and everything hurts, but during the battle I made progress my muscle memory improved, my reflexes got even more sharper and during the battle I used the total concentration breathing for over a minute, all and all it was a solid improvement for my body.

I attended my wounds, changed to my pajamas and went to sleep, hopefully everything went A OK.

While Kaito was sleeping he didn't realize that one of the officers had a camera in he's vest and filmed the battle of Kaito and the Villain. Soon it would be known as the "1 minute fight incident", which will soon shake the whole world.
