8 Confrontation
After taking a screenshot I ended the FaceTime and sent her a message.
Logan
Hey, I just woke up and I am going to go for a run. Btw you look cute when you sleep.

6:03 am
I change clothes and head outside for a run.
After about 45 minutes I finished my run, jogging about 5 miles, I walk inside and get ready to take a shower but I smell something delicious.
I walk into the kitchen and see my mom making breakfast, she is making French toast.

"Hi, mom," I say while reaching for a plate full of French toast.
*SLAP.*
"No, you will take a shower first, now get out of my kitchen you stink." My mom says after she slaps my hand.
"But I'm starving," I say faking a pouting face.
"Too bad shower now." My mom says with a serious face.
I open up my arms like I am gonna give her a hug and start walking close to her.
"Logan Barret if you touch me I will kick you out of this house." My mom says running around the counter with a smile on her face.
I hold my hands up.
"Fine, you win," I say while turning around and walking upstairs.
I get upstairs and take a shower and change into a white shirt and black jeans, I throw on a jean jacket.

I hear my phone buzz on the counter in the bathroom.
I walk into the bathroom, I grab my phone and see a message from Haley.
Haley
If you show that to anyone other than yourself I WILL KILL YOU!!!

Just remember you fell asleep before I did, see you at school.

She probably took a picture of me as well, I'll let her think i care.

I grab my bag and run downstairs remembering that I am supposed to pick up Matt and Josh and give them a ride to school.
I run downstairs and stuff my face with the French toast my mom made and man were they Delicious.
"Bye mom love you." I say while running to the garage.
I hope into my car and drive towards my friends houses.
It is now first hour and I am waiting for Haley to come so my day won't be as boring.
I look out the window and sigh, I hear someone sit in the seat next to me.
I feel someone tap on my arm, I look over and see Haley.
She is holding out her hand and in her hand are my earnings.
'Oh, yea forgot about that.' I think to myself.
"Thank you," I say with a smile.
I grab them out of her hands and start to put them in my ear.
'Huh, this is hard without a mirror.' I think to myself.
Haley sees me struggling.
"Do you need my help?" Haley asks with a smirk.
"No." I say trying to sound as convincing as possible.
Haley stares at me raising her eyebrow.
"Ok fine." I say faking a pouting face.
Haley starts to chuckle and leans over and starts to put them in.
After she's done I ask her.
"How do I look?" I ask.
Haley looks at me for a second and starts to bite her lip.
"Hot." as soon as she says this she immediately looks away, I can tell she is embarrassed and is blushing.
A couple of girls around us start to giggle.
'Why did I say that out loud!!!' Haley screams to herself.
"Is that right?" I whisper, Haley heard because she looks over and sees me smiling looking out the window.
That hour ended up going by pretty fast, Haley and I talked more about each other.
It is now lunch I grab my tray and buy a drink and head to the same empty table as yesterday, I thought I was going to be sitting alone but that quickly changed.
First Haley put her tray right next to me and some of her friends sat at across from us. Next Matt, Josh and a couple of the other boys from the team showed up and sat down.
"Who's this?" Matt asks looking at Haley.
"Oh yeah forgot you haven't met." I say with a smile.
Matt reaches across the table with his hand.
"Hello I'm Matt, and I'm basically your mans bodyguard." Matt says while Haley starts to shake his friend.
Haley looks away.
"H-He's not my man." Haley says blushing.
Matt looks at me I just shake my head.
"Ahh, I see your future man." Matt says.
"What do you mean by bodyguard?" Haley asks.
"Well Haley I basically make sure no one touches your boy- I mean Logan on the field."
"Hello Haley, I'm Josh." Josh says reaching for her hand.
Lunch went like this just getting to know each other for awhile until he had to come and ruin it.
"Is that good?" Haley asks after Josh and Matt started telling her how I did yesterday.
"Yes, he is basically-" Josh got interrupted by someone.
"Haley let's go." someone said in an authoritative tone.
Haley slowly turns around she looks extremely nervous.
"How many times does she have to tell you to get it through your thick scull she doesn't like you."Ana says. Ana is one of Haley's friends. All of Haley's friends have a disgusted or concerned look.
"Y-Yea Dylan p-please leave me alone." Haley says, whole shaking a little.
'What did he do to her? Why is she acting like my mom did when she told me what dad did.' I think to myself.
Dylan ignoring what Ana says reaches for Haleys arm.
"Haley I said lets-" before he could grab her I grab his arm and pushed him back, I'm now standing in between him and Haley.
"She asked you to leave her alone, now f*ck off." I say while glaring at him.
Behind Dylan, what looks to be a emo band is walking towards us.
They arrive next to Dylan.
"What is this supposed to scare me, take you and your f*ck boys somewhere else before you can't do it yourself.
"There's more of us than you." one of the boys behind Dylan says.
Before I could respond I hear Matt say something behind me.
"Take a hint dumb*ss look around, make a move your dead." Matt says.
The boy looks around and notices that the whole table of boys is ready if something goes down.
"Even if we were not here, you would still be f*cked Logan can handle himself with or without us.
But you're dumb*ss decided to threaten our QB right in front of us, not smart." Josh says.
"Now, f*ck off and leave Haley alone," I say staring at Dylan.
"Whatever." Dylan says walking away.
I sit back down and look at Haley, she has tears in her eyes.
"Wanna talk about it?" I say whole putting my arm around her.
"N-Not yet. I'm not ready." Haley says.
"Ok that's fine, just know I'll be here anytime you need to talk about it, so whenever you're ready." I say with a smile.
"Thank you."
I decide to help her forget about what just happened by changing the subject.
"Are you busy Saturday?" I ask.
Haley looks at me.
"N-No why?" she asks.
"Well, G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra is supposed to come out on Saturday, and I was wondering if you wanted to see it." I say while looking at her.
"I would like to but more than likely my parents are gonna want to meet you officially is that ok?" Haley asks.
"Of course." I say with a grin.
