20 O'clock II! - (Alternative II)

Earlier this week, Pop had been recaptured and placed in a coma.

Now she was being held in a nearby hospital, awaiting her awakening and subsequent trial.

But that wasn't all! The pretender O'Clock was also targeting her. She was a loose end after all. And number six, egomaniac as he was, didn't tolerate loose ends.

Even as we headed for the hospital, explosions and crashes could be heard happening all around the city as the bomber clones spread mistrust, fear and chaos all round.

With all these villains making nomus, one had to wonder how fucking lax the medical licensing laws were in this damn country.

How the fuck can five separate asshats get access to cloning and gene manipulation tech? Is the government even doing their fucking job?

And with all these instant villains and clone nomus running around, it's like every villain gets an orientation on how to create your very own super clone army!

The day I become a hero, that's the first thing I'm protesting!

As we reached the hospital, the officers on duty pointed their guns at us.

"Hands up! Stay right there. Not one more step." They warned.

"Maybe one hop this time?" I teased.

"What?" The officer said, confused.

Not a man of culture, I see. Too bad.

"Nothing. Can I talk to detective Tsukauchi or Uncle Tanuma, please?" I requested.

The officer looked at me and sighed.

"Fine. Wait here."

Soon Detective Tsukauchi came out to meet us.

"What're you boys doing here?" He asked, rubbing his temples.

"We came to help!" Deku said.

"You got a headache? I have some pills if you'd like." I said patting my bag.

"You're the headache! You brats. This is no time for you to play heroes!" He scolded.

"But my quirk is very useful, especially here. You'll want me around!" I said.

"He's right." Said Soga, walking out of the hospital.

"He does have a very useful quirk."

"And what is this quirk of yours?" Detective Tsukauchi asked.

"I can stop anything in place as long as it's in my line of sight. Like Rock Lock but better because my quirk works on people too. Let me show you." I said gesturing Deku to jump.

He crouched down and ran at a wall, stepping over and jumping with his vaulting boots full force, leaping an astonishing 4 and a half meters high.

I activated my Immobilization Eye, stopping him right before he hit the ground.

"See! You're fighting a speedster and I am an immovable object. As long as I can see him, he can't move." I said.

Detective Tsukauchi thought for a moment before nodding.

"Alright. But stay behind the police line-up. And don't play hero. Understood?"

"Yep. No need to worry. We'll take no unnecessary risks either. Both of us have to take the UA entrance exam soon. Can't be injured now can we?" I replied.

"Oh! You'll make great heroes with quirks like that." An officer by the side praised.

"Thanks! By the way, where's uncle Tanuma? I haven't seen him in weeks." I asked.

"You didn't hear?" The officer said, his face shrouded with doubt and sadness.

"Hear what?" I asked again, worried.

"Detective Tanuma has passed away."

"How? Where? When?" I asked.

"Three days ago, in the police station. The speedster killed him."

The officer answered with shame.

"He was killed inside the police station, with all of you around. And you did NOTHING?!" I screamed in rage.

"We...we're sorry!" The officer and his company bowed their heads in apology.

Detective Tsukauchi put a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't take it on them too hard. The speedster is fast. Terribly so. He was in and out before anyone even knew what was happening." He explained.

I seethed for a moment, before containing my anger.

"I understand. But promise me," I said, "promise me that when we catch him, he'll get what's coming for him."

"I promise." Detective Tsukauchi said solemnly.

"Don't make promises you can't keep detective." A voice said from above.

Everyone snapped to attention, looking at the source of the voice.

There he was, on a flying bomber, the speedster himself.

O'clock II!

I activated my Immobilization Eye at once, sealing him in place.

"Hahahaha! That's a great quirk boy! But it won't stop me." He said snapping his fingers.

The bomber dropped to the ground and began to swell up, clouding my vision, releasing O'clock II, as the speedster jumped off, and disappeared into the building.

Man I'm getting tired of this explosion bullshit!

I jumped back, pulling Deku behing the police lines and riot shields as the explosion rang out, blowing the nearby officers away.

At the same time, a small swarm of bombers appeared over the roof of the adjacent building,

"Go! Stop him. We'll hold them off." Detective Tsukauchi said, pointing at the villain dashing up the stairs.

We nodded and ran in behind him, only to be stopped by Deku.

"Haru-chan, wait! We won't catch up to him like this. Hold on to me, we'll jump up to the second floor." He said.

"Alright. Soga, give us a boost." I requested.

Soga ran up to the compound wall just as Deku ran up, carrying me, and with Soga's boost, scaled the building in one full leap, falling just short of the second floor.

I grabbed the railing on the second floor windows and sprung up, pulling Deku along, just as O'clock appeared on the stairs.

"You'll stop right there villain!" I said, binding him.

"Ugh! What did you do? You!!" He cried, as he buzzed about within the rings, desperately attempting to make an escape.

"Bombers! Come to me!" He screamed.

The bombers below shot up, flapping their little wings.

"No you don't!" I said, projecting an eye on the window sill, freezing them in place as they were shot out of the sky by the police below.

"Noooooo!" He wailed, "Why does this always happen to me? Don't I deserve happiness? For once in my life!"

"No. You don't." I repeated, knocking him out with a kick to the balls.

"You out?" I asked, tapping his forehead, secretly putting him in a trance induced coma.

I pulled out a syringe and took a blood sample, before calling Deku over to pick him up and go back to down to hand him over to the police.

Thus ended the tale of Rokuro Nomura, clone of O'clock.
