43. Skye's Father

"They want the Obelisk but you don't have it. Skye's father does" Coulson said

"He won't stop until he gets her" stated Raina

"You are scared of him and you are not scared easily," Coulson said

"That's not true she is scared of me" came Grant's voice from the comms.

"He is a very dangerous man. You wouldn't believe the stories" Raina said

"What's next Boss?" asked Grant as he hid his face behind the mask and slowly started to moved towards Raina

"Take me in. Please" begged Raina

"Sorry, no vacancies," Coulson said

"Once I walk out that door, Whitehall will kill me," Raina said

"It's possible or maybe you and I will work after all," Coulson said

"What?" asked Raina

"Tag and tail it is then" came Grant's voice from the comms moving right behind Raina and shot a tag at her thigh.

"ugh.." Raina groaned in pain as she turned her head only to see Ward's face covered in the mask so she couldn't identify him then turned his head to look towards Coulson understanding what he meant.

"You are going to use me to get to Whitehall," Raina said

"He will try to find you. Whether or not we are there to save you when he does that's your call. Depending upon how useful you make yourself. You can start by telling us where to find Skye's father" Coulson said.

By this time, Ward has walked out of the hotel so as to not raise suspicion as to why he was covering his face and listened to Raina and Coulson while fully releasing his Observation Haki to not let Skye getaway.

"The address that he's been staying is not far from here 405 commerce street, in the warehouse district," Raina said

"And here I thought you chose this place for the ambiance," Coulson said as he waved her off signaling her that she can go.

As Raina left the restaurant May came to Coulson's side and asked while closing her comms "What do we do with the address?" 

"I and Grant will check it, while you take Skye back to the Bus," Coulson said as he closed his comms not wanting for Skye to hear that.

"Remember what Rumley said about Skye," asked Melinda

"Yeah, wherever she goes death follows. That was a memorable quote" Coulson said

"Look we know that Skye's father has been looking for her all this time. What if he is the one Rumley is so afraid of" said May

As the two continued their talk Skye decided to go and look for her father on her own at the address Raina gave to Coulson.

Ward sensed her and tried to contact Coulson and May but the two of them have closed their comms and couldn't be connected to. Seeing that it was easy for him to follow Skye than to stop her Grant did just that.

It was only when they reached the address did Coulson and May opened their comms and asked for Skye and him.

"Yeah, we are standing right outside the door of the place Skye's father is supposed to be. Now before you get angry I did try to contact you but the two of you decided to close your comms and I decided to follow Skye instead of trying to stop her as I am not the one to stop her from meeting her father. Come fast Coulson I am not sure if Skye's father is the father of the year" Grant said

Just as Skye opened the door, Grant grabbed her shoulder making her jerk her shoulder and elbow the person behind her but Grant caught her elbow and twisted her around so as to not let her shot him while the flashlight from her other arms falls onto the ground making it impossible for anyone to see.

 Skye tried to fight back and almost pulled the trigger but dislodged the gun from her hand and caught her in his arms stopping her from moving as he said "It's me, Skye, stop struggling I am not going to stop you from meeting your father"

Hearing Grant's voice Skye calm down a little and after hearing his words she stopped struggling. 

"That we're some great moves but next time try to use your legs as well, if your hands are occupied your legs will help in these situations," Grant said as he picked up the flashlight and the gun passing it onto Skye who nodded her head in acceptance.

"Sorry about the gun, I didn't want to get Shot so I may have used a little bit of extra force than necessary," Grant said as he rubbed Skye's wrist.

"No, it's alright," Skye said.

"We can look around her before Coulson comes, so you don't need to worry," said Grant easing Skye's worries.

As the two entered the room, they found it was empty so they kept their gun back and flashed their flashlight around the room.

They found a picture of a good-looking young man holding a baby. The man in the picture looked happy just the way a father would. Grant grabbed Skye's shoulder to show her support as she hugged Grant tightly. When he sensed Coulson entering the warehouse, he used his comms to inform him that no one else was there and that he can come in.

Coulson entered the room to see Skye still standing while staring at the picture. While Grant was standing in a corner letting Coulson help her as he knew that right now Skye needed a father figure and Coulson was the one for the job.

"So he was here", Coulson said

"Yeah", Skye said nodding her head. "I just wanted a glimpse of him"

"You are having one hell of a day huh", Coulson said to which Skye could only bod her head as she hugged him while crying.

"We will find him. It's okay it is okay" Coulson said trying to calm her down.

Unknown to the two this father-daughter act of theirs along with Grant and Skye's earlier hug was seen by Skye's father through a hidden cam in the wall clock in the room.

"Agent May, are there any signs of him," asked Coulson through the comms

"No, but there is something else you need to see," May said

As the trio came into the room, May was waiting in they saw the dead bodies of two people laying on the ground.

Seeing which Skye called him a monster.

Only for Grant to stop her "You don't know what happened here, Skye"

"What do I need to know Ward, don't you see the dead bodies of two men laying down on the ground"
