36. Saving Donnie gill

"You know the chances are zero, I was never loyal to Hydra, I was loyal to Garret. And the reason of me wanting to go down as well is also known to you." Grant said.

"I know but even then why should you be the one to deal with the situation if what you say is really true," asked Coulson

"Because I have done it before, Absorbing Man was the only one that Garret was able to capture there was another gifted that Garret was asked to bring back to Hydra but was unsuccessful so he had tasked me to take care of it which I did. I have killed a gifted, I am sure Melinda won't have any problem in taking care of Dannie Gill if she had to choose between him and the team but Skye isn't ready for it especially if Donnie Gill is being mind control them she may not be able to pull the trigger" Grant said

"You are underestimating Skye, she has a talent for a field Agent" Coulson stated

"I know that, but do you really want Skye's first kill to be an innocent mind control gifted. I haven't forgotten my first kill do you think Skye will be able to do that?" asked Grant pulling on Coulson's emotional string for Skye.

After being silent for a minute Coulson walked out leaving Grant who didn't follow him as he knew that his plan has worked.

Coulson ordered Trip to man the bus while Ward will join Melinda, Skye, and Hunter to go down to retrieve Donnie Gill.

Trip shrugged his shoulders and walked towards the cockpit to man the Bus while Grant joined the team to wear their parachute.

"First-time sky diving," asked Hunter as he helped Skye with her parachute.

"No second, first time was with Coulson on Lola," Skye said

"That was not sky Diving, more like flying," Grant said as he finished wearing his parachute.

"Ok, it's my first time" Skye grumbled

"It's okay to be scared, if you are scared that means you won't make any mistakes," Hunter said

"Okay team, make sure we get to Donnie Gill before Hydra gets to him," Coulson said opening the gate for the four of them to jump.

Simmons searches the ship for Gill. Gill shows himself, and asks "what side she are you on SHIELD or Hydra."

"I am on your side" replied Simmons

Bakshi tells her to convince him. While Simmons was meeting with Gill, the Agents Of Shield has also started to make their move taking out a couple of Hydra soldiers.

May and Hunter moved in to find Donnie, while Skye made her way up to a higher vantage point to get a better sniping position, Grant stayed on the ground and took out the rest of Hydra soldiers without making any sound. The only soldiers left were the ones guarding Bakshi whom Grant found standing on inside the ship through his Observation Haki.

Simmons continues to try to talk down Gill. He starts getting angry, and Bakshi starts telling Simmons lines to say. She begins by saying them "Take a deep breath and clear your mind. Surrender and you will find meaning...." Gill starts feeling groggy.

May and Hunter reached the place where Simmons was talking with Gill and they heard the lines, May recognized the lines the moment she heard them and calls Coulson.

" Gill has been brainwashed already, currently is being forced to comply," May said through her comms.

"End that conversation now" replied Coulson.

"Copy that," Hunter says as he lines a shot but before he could fire, May shot him down, lucky for him that he was wearing a bulletproof vest.

The sound of the shot fired helps Donnie regain control and he gets angry at Simmons for trying to mind control him.

Simmons runs when Donnie tries to grab her leaving her Hydra jacket which he freezes into a solid block, May saves Simmons from getting caught by Donnie by shooting on a pipe but he continues to follow her after freezing the pipe.

"What am I hearing?" asked Coulson

"May shot me" replied Hunter

"What did you say?" asked Coulson not believing what Hunter was saying

"Agent May shot me" replied Hunter as he stood up on his feet.

"Man I wanted to be the one to do that" came Trip's voice through the comms.

"Simmons is here, repeat Simmons is on-site with Hydra," May said her voice heard by everyone through their comms.

"Do we maintain her cover?" asked May

"Yes maintain her cover" replied Coulson

"Your source?" asked Trip

"My source" replied Coulson

"Man that's crazy, was it after Ward's suggestion or before" asked Trip remembering that Ward had suggested this way to infiltrate Hydra.

"Before" replied Coulson curtly.

"What about the primary source of Target?" asked Hunter as he and May give chase to Donnie and Simmons.

"If we can't take him in we take him out, are we clear" Coulson said

"Clear," Hunter said

"Clear" replied May after shaking her head.

As Donnie followed Simmons, he runs into Bakshi who speaks the brainwashing code and Gill falls under his sway. He covers their trail by freezing the door as they leave. Bakshi orders Gill to freeze the ship, and that no one left inside should leave alive. Hunter and May realize they are trapped.

Ward didn't have a clear shot for Donnie as so e of the Hydra soldiers were covering him as he starts freezing the ship.

"Shit I wanted to save it for some time. Skye cover me" said Grant as he took out another handgun from his belt this one different from a regular one as it was an ICER.

"What are you trying to do Ward?" asked Skye through the comms.

"Completing the mission what else," said Grant as he came out of his hiding place.

With the full use of his Observation Haki and the strength of his rubbery arms, he flings the gun while firing it.

The moment he fires the bullet, he is seen by the Hydra soldiers who lined up the guns to fore him but Skye covers for him by sniping down two soldiers making the rest duck around to cover themselves giving Grant enough time to go back to his hiding place while firing at them.

After helping Ward, Skye decided to tale out Donnie before he kills May and Hunter but when she was shocked to find out Donnie laying on the ground with Simmons and Bakshi standing right beside him with their eyes wide open in shock.
