9 9. Practice Match and Strings!

They got to the court and the tallest ones of the team walked to the tip-off, Shin got to the middle because he were the tallest in the Red Team

Coach: "The rules will be simple: No ball conduction with more than two steps, Pass the ball to your teammates, and the team with most points in 10 minutes will be the winner, lets start, get ready to tip-off"

Shin got ready to jump, when he saw the coach threw the ball up he jumped to get it, the other kid jumped too but Shin got the ball for his team with one hand of advantage from the other kid

Trent was the one with the ball, he looked to where everyone was and saw Shin running alone to the basket, and passed the ball to him

Shin got the ball and scored with no one to mark him

Coach: "2-0"

The ball were being passed between the Blue Team to each other, Shin saw the pass was coming a little bit wrong and intercepted it, he ran again to the basket but with the Blue Team kids going after him

Shin was too fast for the kids, even with the ball the kids couldn't get to him so he scored with another layup

The time left was 7:39 and the score was 9-2, with Shin scoring all the points for his team

He was now with the ball and two people were marking him, he looked to his side and saw Trent alone in the three point line, he dribbled the ball behind his back and passed without looking to Trent

Trent caught the ball and shot it scoring three points for the Red Team

Shin: "Nice shot, Trent"

Trent smiled and thanked for the pass

Trent: "Nice pass"

Shin was making sure that who he marks don't pass him, and he did this well, no one that he marked scored against him, proving that Shin was not only getting better at attacking but at defending too

Shin: 'This game is going well, but I need to do something that catch the coach's attention to enter the regular team, or the coach will put me in the 1st string without playing the matches for the team'

Shin considered what he should do to make the coach put him on the team, he thought for a bit and decided what to do

Shin was currently with the ball in his hands, he dribbled to the middle of the court were two people were marking him, he had a bored look in his face all the game, but now he closed his eyes and focused seriously in the match

He got his eyes half-open and vapor came out of his mouth, he inclined his body and passed by the two of them in a instant leaving a red and silver trail behind him, they didn't even had time to react and Shin passed so quickly that the coach got his eyes wide-open

What Shin did was a dribble he was working on this entire three years, it was similar to the lightning dribble, but Shin's dribble was obviously better, different from Hayama who used a lot of noise and the strenght in just his arm to perform his dribble, Shin's dribble uses the strenght in all his body at one location: His hand, he could do this because of his 'Perfect Body' who allowed him to have a perfect control of his body, the move is silently and quick, it has 3 levels, the first level is when he just use his arm strenght, the second one is when he use his arms and legs force, and the third, of course was using all his body power

You can say the dribble was similar to when Aomine played against Kagami a 1v1, passing him while a blue 'aura' covered him , Shin currently could use the dribble 3 time times before getting exhaust

(A/N: I forgot to say 'Perfect Body' allows Shin to control his body perfectly, I even had noted in my book, sorry for not saying, please give me sugestions to the name of the new move, I'll pick the one that makes sense to Shin, some examples of ideas to you guys create the name: Red, Scarlet, Drive, Flash, Phantom, Silver, etc)

Of course a dribble that used all of Shin's body power was exhausting and Shin is still training his body, he is a kid so he doesn't have the strenght and stamina of an athletic adult built over the years

Coach: 'What was that ? This kid is really good, I was thinking of putting him on the team but it seems that I don't even need to think about it anymore'

He had an surprise and excited look on his face while seeing Shin's move, but he didn't know Shin was going to let he even more surprised...

Shin continued dribbling and arrived at the 'elbow' encoutering another mark, Shin passed the ball behind him where Trent was without looking making the coach even more surprised

Coach: 'He even have the 'Eagle Eyes' or he saw it before? It seems I'll need to ask him personally'

The match continued with the Red Team dominating the court, finishing the game with a score of 31-8

Shin did 23 points, 4 assists, 1 block, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals, Basically the game turned around him

Coach: "You did well, we'll be having the next test , it will be the last one and it's just to take your measures, so rest a bit who played the game and come with me who didn't played"

Shin just walked with them, he was a bit tired because he used his new move at the 2nd level, or he wouldn't even break a sweat

The coach looked back and saw Shin, he thought he wasn't tired and just came

Coach: 'It look likes he didn't even get tired after playing a full quart'

The coach seated in a chair, he got a pen and book and told to everyone come to him in a row

Coach: "Tell me your name, age, height, weight and position then go away from my face"

The kid walked and put a respectful posture and said

SC1: "Yes coach! My name is Side Character 1, I have 11 years old, my measurements are 4'4" feet tall and I my weight is 32kg, I play at Point Guard"

Coach: "3rd String, now go away, if it had a 4th String I would put you there"

This continued until it was Shin's time

to speak

Coach: "Next!"

Shin: "Yes coach! My name is Yukimura Shin, I'm 11 years old, I measure 5'2" feet tall and my weight is 44kg, I don't play in a determinated position but I think I would play better at power forward"

The coach was impressed by Shin's age, he was thinking he was at least 12 y/o, the coach agreed with Shin about his position he saw Shin playing in every part of the court

Coach: "Ok, you'll be going to the 1st String, I wanted to put you directly to the team but I'll need to do some things before doing it"

Shin nodded while the other kids gave him rage and envyous looks

Shin: 'Heh~, I'm just to perfect to you guys want to be like me... maybe I'm becoming a little narcisist huh'

He walked back to his place and waited to finish, he saw Trent was 11 y/o and 4'6 feet tall, he played at shooting guard and got to the 1st string too

Shin: 'It seems the team is formed, Me, Zion, Kagami, Himuro, and Trent, I doubt someone can win against us in South Carolina

(A/N: Guys I didn't find the tournaments names so I created one,

Shin will play at South Carolina, it'll be like preliminaries or the tournaments of states, the teams winners of the state will play a North, South, East, and West tournament, who wins from each direction, will be playing the 'Nationals' semi-final and then the finals. You guys liked ?)
