19 The One With The Celebration

Monica's Apartment

Monica (TV): "well, I have my family and my friends to thank for their support and help in helping me and believing in me and most especially my cousin, Adam, he was the one who actually made all these"

Interviewer(TV): "when you said Adam, do you mean Adam Geller, the one behind SMART Group?"

Monica(TV): "yes, he is the one, I thought the name Geller would ring a bell"

Monica: "what do you think? How was my performance? Did I ace the interview? If you have to give an award, do I get one?"

Ross: "Monica, I don't think this is a competition, so we don't have to go that far but I have to say you did a wonderful job there, at least one of us got to appear on the television"

Adam: "no time for brooding, we have to get ready. Our parents are on their way and we don't want to be late"

When Adam and the others were preparing the celebration of the successful opening of the Monica's Kitchen, they had a call from their parents saying they want to congratulate Monica so they just decided to have it the same day which Monica did not like as she would be out of her Kitchen for the full day but Adam had to call Jill to come watch over the restaurant before Monica relent.

Monica: "on it"

Ross: "where are the others?"

Adam: "probably getting ready themselves"

It's been a week since Monica's Kitchen opened and it has been the talk of the town to the extent even famous and influential people came to see what's was so special about this Restaurant.

Due to this reason, Adam to hold off the opening of Lux for the meantime so that Monica can revel in her glory without having a competition so as she puts it.

Today, they were supposed to meet up with their parents as they wanted to congratulate Monica on her success.

Monica: "okay, let's go, I can't wait to see the look on my mother's face it will be hilarious"

Monica said as she was so happy that she can not even hide it no matter what she did.

Ross: "let's go then"

The trio left the apartment and did not see the others so they decided to go wait for them at Central Perk coffeehouse after sending them a text to meet them there.

They got to central perk coffeehouse and there they saw the others laughing and talking to each other while sipping their coffee.

Chandler: "thought you three would never leave the apartment"

Adam: "let's not do that now. Since everyone is here, I think it is time to go"

Adam said as the others stood up and walked out of the coffeehouse and got into their respective cars given to them by Adam as a gift.

A few minutes later

The lineup of the cars drew the attention of everyone as they had never seen such a lineup before.

When they got to their destination, they found out that it was empty making some of them wonder if they were in the right place.

Joey: "are you sure we are in the right place? Cause this place feels like it has been abandoned for a long time"

Ross: "come on Joe, what makes you think that the place has been abandoned. The place seems pretty normal and well kept for it to look like an abandoned place"

Joey: "well, you won't blame me, I could not find anyone around so I thought we arrived at the wrong location. Ahem, also I thought we were here to eat not sightseeing because I had to cut down on my usual ration this morning for it"

Adam: "let's go inside, my parents probably booked the whole place that's way it is deserted"

Phoebe: "you rich people really don't know what to do with money, do you?"

Phoebe said as she found booking a entire place just to eat because you have the money to be a waste when it can be put into a good use.

Adam: "actually we do put the money into good use and the reason this place is deserted is so that we can have our meal in peace. Now if you don't mind"

Adam said as he led the way into the building.

They got inside and sat down on the chairs arranged for them.

Chandler: "I still don't get why we did not just do this at Monica's restaurant. It would have been better rather than coming all the way here"

Monica: "I know"

Rachel: "speak for yourself, I enjoy the ride down to this place and I hope you are not going to take the cars back, Adam?"

Rachel asked as she looked at Adam with a cute puppy eyes as she believes that the only reason Adam allowed them to drive his cars was because he did not want to use a limo as he believed it to be too flashy.

Joey: "of course not, he is not going to do that. Are you?"

Joey also asked Adam using his most famous weird eyes contact thing he used during the one with the late Thanksgiving episode on Chandler and Monica which had absolutely no effect on Adam.

Adam: "all right, all right, I won't take it back so stop doing that, it does not have any effect on me"

Adam said leaving Joey doubting his ability to persuade or charm someone into doing what he wants.

After that the group of friends waited for the elders while engaging into small talks to while away time.

A few minutes later, the elders arrived together and they exchanged greetings before also sitting down.

Joey and Chandler were nervous sitting down with the famous Geller couples especially Chandler who has see them almost everyday on the news when he goes to work.

James: "ahem, you all know why we are here, right? We are here today to congratulate and celebrate Monica on her success with her restaurant, the Monica's Kitchen which has created a lot of Buzz around the world just in the first week of her opening which is a huge achievement on its own and that deserves to be celebrated, so Monica, a big congratulations on your new business"

All: "congratulation, Monica"

The others also joined James to congratulate Monica, the star of the day who has become a little shy from all the attention or so she wants it to seem like she was.

With that they began the celebration with Chandler making sarcastic remark from time to time.
