10 The One With All The Hugging

Monica's Apartment

Joey: "this is the best spaghetti I have ever had, no offence, Monica"

Monica: "I completely agree with you on this one Joey, this is the best, I wish I could have this everyday"

Adam: "I'm afraid that won't be happening"

Adam said as he sat on the couch watching a TV show.

Chandler: "I have to say, if Adam, continues to cook, we will all get fat before the end of the month, that's how good his cooking is"

Adam: "wow, first time I got a compliment from you Chandler, but I won't fall for what you are doing"

Chandler: "damn it"

Chandler said when he saw that his plan didn't work.

The group of seven were in Monica's apartment where Adam made a simple spaghetti for dinner which they came to like, in fact like is an understatement, they were completely in love with his cooking.

Ross: "I remembered when Monica was trying to burn her fat, Adam came back home and visited us, he made Lasagna that day and Monica could not have enough to eat as Adam gave her a little portion which made Monica go crazy for not having enough to eat"

Ross said while laughing when he remembered that scene.

Monica: "as if I was the only one to go but, the entire household was begging Adam to make more Lasagna including his parents who came later, you are the worse of all of us, you were literally bribing Adam with your dinosaur toys, who does that?"

Monica refuted Ross.

Ross: "hey, I will have you know that those dinosaurs toys were special to me which can never be replaced by anything"

Chandler: "only by a Lasagna made by Adam?"

Chandler also chimed in the conversation which made everyone laugh.

Phoebe: "but seriously, you are good at cooking, you should have become a chef, you would have been so famous"

Phoebe said which made everyone looked at her weirdly.

Nobody bother to say anything and just dig into their spaghetti and a few minutes later, they were done and Monica did dishes after that, then she made Rachel bring out her credit card so that she could get rid of them and step into the real world.

Monica: "come on, you can't live off your parents your whole life"

Rachel: "I know that, that's why I was getting married"

Phoebe: "give her a break, it's hard being on your own for the first time"

Rachel looked at Phoebe after she said that.

Rachel: "thank you"

Phoebe: "you are welcome. I remember when I first came to this city, I was 14. My mom had just killed herself and my step dad was back in prison. And I got here, and I didn't know anybody and I ended up living vwith this albino guy who was cleaning windshields outside Port Authority and then he killed himself. And then I found aromatherapy, so believe me, I know exactly how you feel"

Everyone was silent as they looked at Phoebe who was just saying things outside their current topic.

Adam just sighed and shoke his head before turning off the TV.

Phoebe didn't pay any attention to their gaze as she stood up to the kitchen area.

Ross: "the word you are looking for is 'anyway'"

Ross said to the lost Rachel as he took Phoebe's place.

Monica: "all right, you ready?"

Rachel: "I don't think so"

Ross: "oh come on. Cut, Cut"

Ross started chanting cut as he looked at the others for support.

All: "Cut, Cut, Cut, Cut, Cut, Cut, Cut, Cut, Cut"

Adam: "you all should stop this, don't pressure her like that, it is not easy to give up something you've had your all life, this is her decision, she should make this decision when she is ready, if she wants to be a daddy's girl all her life, then fine, if she wants to leave her comfort zone and she believes she is ready to face the world, then fine, that's her choice, not ours, we are only here to provide support on anything she decides to do"

Adam said to the group before he turned to Rachel who was still in a state of conflict with herself.

Adam: "so Rachel, are you ready to leave your comfort Zone?"

Adam asked Rachel, who after much deliberation took the scissors from Ross's hand and cut her credit cards one after the other.

Monica: "all right, welcome to the real world, it sucks, you are gonna love it"

Monica said while ruffling Rachel's hair.

Ross: "see, that's not too hard"

Chandler: "yeah, we just made her cut her source of income into two pieces and she does not have any job, sure, that's not hard"

Chandler said which brought them back to reality.

Ross: "if the worst comes to the worst, she can go work for Adam, I believe you can work something out"

Ross said as everyone looked at Adam for his reply.

Adam: "stop looking at me like that, and there is no way Rachel can fit into my company, I major in technology and sport industry, and very soon, the entertainment industry also and there is no way in hell I will include the fashion industry to SMART, and that's the only place Rachel can get a foothold due to her fashion sense and also her love for it, so there is no way I can help"

Adam said which left Rachel sad at her fate but also a little hopeful as Adam just gave her a hint at what she should focus on next.

Adam: "unless, I open a restaurant for Monica and she could waitress there for a while to gather experience, then go look for a fashion related job and maybe, just maybe I can help her start her own company"

Adam said as Monica and Rachel were left speechless and the others were not far from them, especially Ross who looked at Adam.

Adam: "what, you want me to buy you a museum also?"

Adam smiled at Ross when he said that.

Ross: "that would be great"

Ross replied.

Chandler: "since you are buying stuffs, can you also buy one for me also"

Adam just looked at Chandler and nodded his head at him but he had another plan for Chandler.

Monica: "I don't know how to thank you, but thank you, you are the best cousin I have"

Monica said as she hugged Adam while crying.

Adam: "well, Cassie won't be pleased when she hears that"

Monica: "she won't be upset, she also favor you over the rest of us"

Adam just smiled as he hugged her back.

Rachel: "thank you, I never really liked you after, you know, high school, but now, I'm glad I met you, all of you, the few days I spent with you all, was wonderful, I don't even regret ditching Barry anymore at the wedding and I know this might sound wrong, but if I was given the same choice, I would still do the same, because you are all worth it"

Rachel joined in the hug and the Others also joined in and as they shared the moment together.
