1 Chapter 1

Early morning, in a place surrounded by rocks, mountains, forests and monsters, a man is seen wandering around. The birds and different monsters are roaming around in search for food.

The man had a travel backpack and wore a white t-shirt and cargo pants. His noticeable things about him are the black spiky hair, his muscular body which was not overly bulky and his overly-handsome face.

'What's for breakfast today? What should I eat now? Since I am starving, I am ready to eat whatever edible I see first.' he thought and walked around the forest, looking for food.

That was when he spotted a kid carrying a fish nearby. He thought to himself 'Why are kids roaming around in the forest all alone, carrying food? The wild animals here would get attracted to the smell of blood. Anyways, it looks tasty. I guess I will have fish for breakfast. Got to ask that kid where he found that fish.'

The man approached the kid from behind and called out to him "Hey Kid, wait there for a minute."

The kid turns and looks at the man. The kid takes out a red staff from his back and asks "Who are you? Are you here to take my food?" while pointing the red stick at the man.

"No. You got it wrong. I want to ask you where you found that fish. I will also catch one, it looks tasty." the man said.

"Oh! So, you are not a bad guy." the kid said, while the man was thinking 'I feel like I have seen this somewhere but, why can't I remember anything.'

The man was in deep thoughts when something hit him from behind. It brought him back and he looked back to see what hit him. The blow didn't do anything to the man.

There was a car behind him with a dent on it in the shape of the man. There was smoke coming out from it. A girl with blue hair walks out from the car and says "What are you guys doing in the middle of the ....." and pauses when she sees the man.

"Hi, I am Bulma. I am 18 years old. Nice to meet you.." the girl, or woman named Bulma introduces herself.

The man then realized what he was struggling to remember. 'No wonder she looked familiar. She sure has grown into a beautiful woman. Then this kid should be Goku and this should be the start of dragon ball. It is different in real life and it should have happened long back.'

"Hi Bulma. It's been a while since I last saw you." the man said.

"Have we met before?" Bulma asked while thinking 'There is no way that I would forget such a handsome man.'

"No wonder you forgot about me. I used to come to your house at the age of three to play with you. My name is Kaito." the man said.

"Are you the intelligent kid who used to play with me when I was small? You used to live near my house." Bulma asked.

"Yes" Kaito replied.

"I am surprised to meet you here. I never thought I would meet you after all these years. You look good then and now." she said with the last part in a low tone.

"What was that?" Kaito asked.

"No nothing. I was just wondering what happened to you after that mysterious incident and what you are doing here." Bulma said.

Kaito looks at her and said "Ah! Let's not talk about that incident. I was separated from my parents due to that."

"Oh sorry. Are you searching for your parents now? I can help you if you like." Bulma said.

"It's a long story. I found them and am not searching for them." Kaito said and then both Bulma and Kaito heard some blast.

They both looked at the direction of the sound and found the kid near Bulma's car, which is now in flames.

"What did you do to my car?" Bulma shouted at the kid.

"Hey, this monster suddenly burst into flames. Shouldn't we save him?" the kid said.

Bulma looked at the kid and then at Kaito and asked "Who is this kid?"

"I don't know who he is. I was just asking him something." Kaito said and asked the kid " What's your name?"

"My name is Goku. I am 12 years old." the kid replied.

Then Kaito introduced himself and Bulma to Goku.

Goku burst out laughing when he heard her name "You have a funny name."

After laughing for a while, Goku asked "Why does this person look different from me and you?"

"It's because I am a girl. Did you grow up in the country your whole childhood?" Bulma asked.

"Yes. You guys are the only people I met after my grandpa. But, he did tell me about girls. He said to be kind to girls." Goku said.

Kaito wondered 'He is 12 now. That means he is the same age as in the show. Then why was Bulma born two years earlier than she was supposed to?'

Kaito was lost in his thoughts when Bulma came closer and hugged his arm. Kaito looks at her and Bulma asked " Remember I used to hold your hand like this when we were small. so, what are you doing here?"

Kaito replied "I was just roaming, travelling the world. What about you?"

"I am here looking for the dragon balls." Bulma replied.

"Ah! Those wish granting orbs. I wanted to collect them too but, I didn't have any way to find their location." Kaito said.

"You know about them?" Bulma asked.

"Yes. I read about them in the city library when I was small." Kaito replied.

"I forgot you always stayed in the city library reading books. Guess what, I made a radar that can track the dragon balls. It detected one nearby, that's why I am here." Bulma said with pride in her voice.

"Then let's ask this kid. He might have seen it somewhere." Kaito suggests.

"Great idea. Hey kid, have you seen a ball like this somewhere." Bulma asks Goku while showing him the dragon ball.

"Why do you have my grandpa's ball with you? Give it back." Goku said and jumped at her with his red staff.

He lifts it up in the air and tries to hit her head with the . The rod stops in mid air, with Goku hanging onto it.
