They had wreaked havoc across the twelve universes, annihilating most of the inhabited planets. The state of the universe was dire, and Goten couldn't help but marvel at Zamasu's destructive talent. As a trainee Kai, Zamasu had single-handedly brought a universe to such ruin.
"What...how can this be?"
"All these planets seem uninhabitable for ordinary people," Trunks remarked solemnly. While he could survive alone, he was now responsible for dozens of ordinary humans.
Krillin shared a despondent expression, as he had thought of a solution but hesitated to propose it, fearing the wrath of Beerus, the God of Destruction. The current Goten was no match for Beerus.
"What if... you all come to live in our time and space?" Goten suggested after much contemplation. "You've spent decades on Earth, and even if you find another planet, it would take a while to adjust."
Though it might create the space-time chaos Whis had warned about, there seemed to be no better alternative. Furthermore, Goten's time and space required fighters like Trunks.
"Is that... okay?"
"Wouldn't it be a bother for you?" Trunks inquired, considering they didn't belong to that time and space.
"Not at all," Goten assured him. "In that timeline, you were killed during the Cell Games, and now you're in the past. Aunt Bulma would probably be happy."
Goten shook his head while thinking, that Beerus might have figured out how to handle the situation.
"That... sounds wonderful!"
"Thank you so much, Goten! Thank you!" Trunks exclaimed with excitement. Goten now seemed like a guardian to all of them, and the survivors behind Trunks shared in the jubilation.
Seeing this heartwarming scene, Goten couldn't help but feel a profound sense of accomplishment.
