69 Chapter 69: Ultra Instinct & Ultra Ego.

Chapter 69: Ultra Instinct & Ultra Ego.

Time passed day by day, and a month elapsed in the blink of an eye.

The Earth also enjoyed a brief period of peace and stability, with no new adversaries emerging.

Goten and Krillin remained on Fire Mountain throughout, dedicating themselves to rigorous daily training.

At times, they barely had time to eat. Chichi would prepare meals and bring them over, or Videl would deliver takeaway.

Initially, Krillin struggled to calm his emotions. He had a lot on his mind, and Goten's immense strength weighed heavily on him. The thought of being too weak to assist Goten in a future battle created an oppressive feeling he couldn't shake.

Gradually, these pressures began to subside, and his mindset grew more tranquil. Krillin's mental state fell somewhere between Goku's indifference and childlike innocence and Vegeta's constant vigilance and desire for rapid progress. Achieving Ultra Instinct in such a state proved challenging.

A month had passed, and although Krillin had gained better control over his emotions and the ability to calm himself quickly, he still couldn't grasp the essence of Ultra Instinct. This also made him wonder for a while whether he could master the Ultra Instinct!

...

As they sat cross-legged atop adjacent mountains, their expressions remained serene, as if they were one with nature.

Suddenly, Goten's expression shifted. His calm face furrowed, and a purple aura of destruction enveloped him. Crackling purple electrical arcs danced around his body, accompanied by a surge of godly energy. Krillin couldn't perceive this energy but heard the electric crackling.

Slowly, he opened his eyes and witnessed the purple flames surrounding Goten. He knew Goten's strength had evolved after a month of training, and he might soon master a new form.

"Ugh!! Krillin," Goten muttered through clenched teeth, his face tense. With a roar, he opened his eyes, and a purple light shot forth. His hair turned purple, his eyebrows disappeared, and his brow ridge rose high. This form resembled Goku's Super Saiyan 3, but with shorter hair and more menacing eyes.

"Is... is this the Ultra Ego that Goten mentioned earlier?" Krillin marveled. "In just one month, he's achieved it!"

Krillin was left astounded by Goten's rapid progress. Goten, despite not understanding Ultra Instinct's intricacies, had already mastered this transformation. Krillin, on the other hand, struggled even to get a grasp of it.

As Krillin marveled, Goten's face grew increasingly distressed. He fought to maintain the form but eventually returned to his normal state, his pupils and hair returning to black.

"Phew…" Goten breathed a sigh of relief. "Perfecting Ultra Ego will take some time, but achieving it in just a month is impressive."

Krillin flew over to Goten, his envy evident. "Goten, you're truly remarkable! To learn such a powerful transformation in just one month, without any guidance, is incredible."

Goten modestly responded, "I haven't fully mastered it yet, just touched the surface. It'll take some time to perfect this form."

Goten grinned awkwardly, acknowledging that his unique talents were partly due to the system within him. Without it, he wouldn't have achieved what he had.

Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego are different!

First of all, Ultra Instinct Sign is reward given to him by the system, and it was not mastered by himself.

So it is very difficult to achieve perfection.

And Ultra Ego is comprehended on the basis of picking up the Gods of Destruction skill. All the information about the Gods of Destruction technique has been completely imprinted in his mind.

Therefore, it is only a matter of time to master the perfect Self-indulgent.

Krillin smiled. "You don't need to be humble. You're probably the only one in the world with such talent."

Goten's humility reminded Krillin of Goku's personality—never becoming arrogant due to his strength.

He knew very well in his heart that the reason why he could become so powerful in such a short time. Mainly because of the existence of the system in the body.

If there was no system, he might has just stuck at Super Saiyan 2 with his current ability!

As for the other abilities he has now, that is even more impossible. There's nothing to be ashamed of in itself.

He just wants to Better protect himself and the people he wants to protect.

Krillin asked, "By the way Goten. Is this Ultra Ego related to the abilities of the gods? I couldn't sense any energy from you."

Goten told him before that humans cannot perceive the aura of God. This point, they also understood from the previous battle between Beerus and Goten.

Goten explained, "It's indeed a divine skill, more specifically, a skill of the Gods of Destruction."

Krillin chuckled and shook his head. "You're quite the enigma, Goten."

Goten didn't hesitate to share this information with Krillin, considering him his only friend in this world.

Goten said, "Let me see my control over destruction now."

Controlling destruction energy wasn't easy. The simplest method involved using energy to annihilate anything, much like Beerus had done to Supreme Kai candidate Zamasu from the Tenth Universe.

In an instant, a person could be reduced to a speck of dust through Hakai.

Destruction possessed other remarkable applications as well. For instance, it could be used to burst forth potent energy, creating energy balls to eliminate opponents.

As Goten voiced this, he held his hand aloft, conjuring a pebble the size of a fingertip on the tip of his index finger out of thin air. He focused intently and murmured, "Destroy…"

With that soft command, the small stone erupted instantly. The ensuing explosion unleashed an astounding power, boring a massive thousand-foot-wide crater into the ground, causing the entire earth to shake violently.

The ferocious shockwave sent Krillin hurtling through the air, barely managing to halt himself several hundred feet away. His face displayed unparalleled shock.

"Unbelievable! The power unleashed from that tiny stone's size explosion is beyond comprehension! Is this the skill used by the Gods of Destruction?"

Krillin stared at the enormous sinkhole in disbelief. If this was the result of a mere stone explosion, he could hardly fathom what destruction energy ball were capable of.

Goten glanced at the surroundings, fairly satisfied with the outcome. He hadn't intended to cause such destruction initially; if he had, the stone's explosion would have been far more devastating.

Destroying several planets would have been a breeze for him now, especially when utilizing destruction energy to obliterate a planet—an explosive force that could potentially consume a galaxy instantly.

However, before the ground could settle, the sound of a helicopter roared once more. Videl soon arrived in front of Goten and the others. She seemed to have grown accustomed to the terrifying destructive power surrounding them.

Carrying a large bag of lunchboxes as she disembarked from the helicopter, Videl admonished them, "If you two continue training like this, you might destroy the Earth before any enemy does!"

Indeed, the valley had been transformed by their actions, and the destruction this time had been even more terrifying. If left unchecked, it could extend to Gohan's home.

With a teasing tone, Krillen chimed in, "Hey, Videl! What delicacies did you bring us today? It seems like training with Goten was the right choice. Every day, we get to enjoy new and delicious food."

Seeing Videl place the lunchbox on the ground, Hearing him he continued to tease she replied, "Don't touch the sweet shrimp sushi; that's Goten's favorite."

Their relationship had improved significantly during this period. They could now joke and jest with each other freely.

"Okay, okay..."Krillin could only nod his head while  sighed inwardly, thinking about how different it was to have a girlfriend.

"Hurry up Goten, or Krillin will eat them all." Videl quickly pulled Goten over.

"Videl, in fact, you don't need to send us food every day, it's too much trouble for you!" Goten looked at Videl and said.

Although the two have known each other for several months. And he also knew that Videl is interested in him. Now she comes to Fire Mountain every day.

Either to receive some daily needs, or to send some food over.

This made Goten very tangled in his heart. Tell me you don't like Videl, who wouldn't like such a beautiful girl?

Rich, powerful and good-looking, but she is the one chasing him.

To say you don't like it would be a lie!

But now he feels that improving his strength is the most important thing. If he doesn't have enough strength, he can't protect these people he likes.

And once you have your own family, the ties will be even greater! Do a lot of things, there will be a lot of scruples and worries.

Videl retorted playfully, "Hmph!  My legs can take me wherever I please. I buy the food because I want to, and whether you eat it is your business. Don't try to send me away, or I'll tell Aunt Chichi."

Videl's words carried a hint of longing. She had expressed her feelings to Goten, and it was evident to anyone that she was interested in him. Yet, Goten had consistently rebuffed her advances, leaving her feeling disheartened.

However, she had now made up her mind. In this world, and possibly the entire universe, there was no one more exceptional than Goten.

Goten reluctantly agreed, "Alright, you can do as you wish."

He didn't want his mother to pester him about this later.

Videl's face brightened, and she added, "Also, you promised to teach me how to fly last time. Since you're not busy this month, we can start from today or tomorrow."

"Um....…"

"All right! Then let's do it after I finish eating!" Goten could only nod his head.

After all, he had promised Videl to teach her how to fly before.

"Really? Yeah! That's great, hurry up, hurry up!" The excited Videl hurriedly urged.

After lunch, Goten decided to begin Videl's training in Ki perception and Flying Technique. It would serve as a brief respite from his intensive training regimen.

Goten explained, "To learn Flying Technique, you must first master Ki sense and control. All attacks and flight are powered by Ki. Now, follow my lead and try feeling the Ki within your body. Relax your body as much as possible, sense the Ki, and gradually learn to control it."

Goten sat cross-legged on the ground, providing Videl with detailed instructions. Videl, sitting opposite Goten, closed her eyes and followed his guidance.

Time passed swiftly, and two hours flew by. Videl managed to sense the Ki within her body, but controlling it proved challenging. She needed practice to find the right balance.

Just as Goten prepared to continue their training, a familiar sensation surged in his mind. Simultaneously, the subtle presence of a God emerged. Must be because he was training Ultra's Skill and Hakai, he was able to sense the energy of gods and other divine enity.

"This sensation... Whis?" Goten quickly recognized the presence as that of Angel Whis.
