*I've decided to try and move on with this story! This will be a prologue (sorry it's so long, still new to this) and I will be working on continuing the story! Thank you for reading 'Welcome Home'.:) A man with a spear and unrivaled grit, fighting for the fate of everything he knows, him falling could mean the death of everything around him...or worse. A woman with a sword she forged herself and terrifying reach. She continues to fight despite falling, failing, and trying so many times, just to move forward, and leave her past behind. A battle of their own rights and wrongs, no evil and no good, a battle of conviction. They stand on opposite sides of a bridge. A particularly long bridge. The perfect place for a duel. They both protect something, they both believe they are in the right, but who will win? Chavez, the spear bearer. A human who grew up In a village to the north, he grew up freezing almost every night, and with little food. He loved the people he grew up with despite his troubles, and cherished every moment like it was his last. While doing chores one day his entire village disappeared, there was no explanation, and no one helped him. He was alone for a long time after that, and had no idea how to continue on living, his town was effectively wiped off the map when he wasn't there, and all it took was a couple hours, when Chavez came homes one night, everything was simply...gone. Eventually he found the way to bring them back, or save them. He must cross this bridge. Selena, the forge master. A human girl from an imperial city to the south, an extremely hot plain. It was melting point for most metals as a temperature year round, and the city she grew up in was popular for its forges. Very rare weapons and armor came from this Imperial city, however, the city and surrounding areas often faced long droughts and could not grow food and keep water without wells drying out. Most people and their family's relied entirely on their ability to forge metals to trade for food and water or other necessaties. When it came time for Selena to forge her first sword however, she made something fierce, something she couldn't understand. A sword that took a part of her own soul to make. The sword itself required sacrifices to be completed, and unknowingly at the time, Selena ended up sacrificing the entire city to create the sword...the product? A weapon of mass destruction. In order to right the wrongs she created, she must attain a spell of time reversal, she was hired by someone who is capable of giving such a thing...the emperor. Cricket Fever: I Can Download Infinite Skills

Rudra was a cricket fanatic, through and through. He lived for the game, spending hours playing and watching cricket matches. It was his passion, his escape from the mundane. On the day of the Cricket World Cup finals in 2023, Rudra was glued to the screen, cheering for his beloved national team, India. However, to his dismay, India lost the finals, shattering his hopes. Watching his team lose on their home ground was a bitter pill to swallow. Despite the defeat, Rudra found solace in the remarkable journey of the Indian team throughout the tournament. They had defeated ten teams in a row without a single loss, an impressive feat by any standard. Yet, some critics and trolls were quick to diminish their achievements, claiming they could only perform in normal matches and not in the high-pressure eliminator matches. Seeking distraction from the disappointment of the loss, Rudra turned to X-website to gauge the reactions of fellow fans. As he scrolled through the comments on his mobile, the screen suddenly went blank. "What the heck? If something happens to my phone, my father will kill me," Rudra panicked, frantically trying to revive the device by pressing the power button. To his dismay, the blank screen turned white. "Shoot! How do I explain I damaged the display?" Rudra muttered, feeling a sinking sensation in his chest. This was the mobile he had persuaded his father to buy him after two years of persistent pleading. Suddenly, a strange voice echoed in his head, breaking the eerie silence. [ Do you aspire to become the best cricketer? ] Rudra froze, taken aback by the unexpected question. "..." He remained silent, unsure of how to respond to the mysterious inquiry. [ It seems the host didn't give an answer within a minute, so the system will choose an appropriate answer, ] the mechanical voice stated matter-of-factly. "Wait..." Before Rudra could comprehend what was happening, everything went blank, and he felt himself slipping into unconsciousness. (Author Note): Cricket fanfiction and novels might be scarce, but every story starts somewhere. I hope to weave an engaging tale that captures the spirit of the game and ignites the imagination of cricket enthusiasts everywhere. Let's embark on this journey together! This is an AU story. The cover image I got from Google. so I do not own it. I would appreciate feedback and support if you enjoy the story.

Dissecting the Gods. (Against the gods and Naruto fanfiction)

In an attempt to survive his anticlimactic battle between Itachi Uchiha, Orochimaru found himself in a new land like no other. A place where martial practitioners ruled and chased immortality. In this place there were new energies, techniques, godly treasures and divine bloodlines just waiting to be exploited...... (weekly updates) ______________________________________ Hello there readers! This story is one of my first ventures into writing and my first ever fanfiction. The first volumes of this story will take place a century before the start of the original Against the Gods novel and will mostly focus on Orochimaru making a foothold in the world. Updates will be two chapters once per week. This may increase as my writing abilities grow. But for now, in order to maintain the quality of the writing and plot this is the best I can do. As a frustrated reader myself; I've seen too many botched ATG fanfics with horrible plots or grammar. I aim to correct this in my novel as a native English speaker. What readers can expect is: Sect/kingdom building Human experimentation. Human rights violations Child soldiers Large scale Massacres. Evil Main character Overpowered Character I have no intention of making Orochimaru a good person overtime or an antihero. I wish to write what I think a mad scientist like Orochimaru would do if he was let loose in a cultivation universe. There will be no: Systems/Romance
