Chapter 0: Prologue Completed

(This is just an exposition for the personality and background of the MC. If u can guess the general characteristics of his personality from the synopsis, u don't need to read this if u wanna get straight to the action.)

One Day on a Certain Battlefield on a particular day In Japan, A Lone Man Stood on the BattleField fighting for his country, the man was strong and fierce and had fought for his Country Proudly and Honorably, then one day the war ended and he retired, the man started a dojo and trained young people who we're interested in kendo and not long after, died, but before the man died he muttered something "am I gonna die without mastering the blade? is this how far I can go?" he said so on a hospital bed, he was not satisfied with his end as he wanted to polish his Swordsmanship more, the man then died. Meanwhile, a baby boy was born next to his hospital room, the boy then grew up and went to school, he lived a dull life and although he was not very social and was more of a loner, he had top grades and had participated in multiple sports like kendo, taijutsu, aikido, iaido, judo, karate, and kyudo, he was also an otaku and Loved the Anime's Danmachi, Arifureta and Fate. Why did he practice so many martial arts? he didn't know, all he knew was that he was drawn to them and wanted to get stronger like the anime characters he Admired, but despite all that he still felt his life was dull, he thought everything was too easy and eventually everything felt dull as was the reason why he turned to anime and manga, then one day when he was going to school, he got hit by Truck-Kun and died, but before he died, he muttered, "I wish I could live a more interesting life in my next life", then his soul left his body and disappeared to thin air.

Somewhere in the dark empty void, a soul wandered aimlessly for a long but unknown amount of time, until, the soul entered the territory of an unknown god. the God wasn't popular and was also a shut-in, but despite his shortcomings, he was strong, far stronger than the perverted god Zeus. this unknown god was sleeping, as a way to pass the time in his endless boredom, then the god noticed the presence of a soul that entered his territory.

'Hmm?'

Upon noticing this, the god was intrigued but confused at the same time. 'why would someone come here? who are they? I'm pretty sure I don't have any friends or acquaintances. after all, I don't like interacting with people or the outside world, hmm? a mortal? interesting.' the god thought and began heading towards the mortal's soul.

When the god saw the mortal soul, he saw the memories and experiences of the mortal, the life he lived, and the decisions and paths he took. As the god read through the mortal's memories he got more and more intrigued and interested, this was the first time in a millennium the god had taken interest in anything. When the god had finished observing the mortal's memories a wide smile of satisfaction appeared on his face, then a frown of pity. though he was able to quell his boredom by observing the life the mortal lived, he honestly felt pity for the man. working hard trying to live life to the fullest and trying to find happiness only to be alienated by society and treated as an outcast, striving for greater strength only to be limited by the laws of the world. The God felt pity for the mortal soul, so he decided to reward the soul for quelling his boredom by reincarnating him in a new world. a world the mortal loved but couldn't reach in his previous life, the World of Danmachi.

The god then started making preparations for when the soul would awaken. he wanted to present himself in a formal dignified way like the gods he saw in the mortal's memories. yes, this god became an otaku, after watching the mortal's memories, though he saw how he lived his life, the god wasn't able to gather all the information the mortal had. he then looked to his left and saw a mountain of books, novels, Manga, animeCD's, and many more in the corner of his soul's memories, he wanted to thoroughly enjoy reading them later like a certain Blue Storm Dragon, but before he did, he prepared and waited for the mortal to awaken.

'Where am I?'

said the mortal soul.

'am I dead? if so, is this the afterlife?'

the man thought.

'hmmm, I can't feel my body. yosh, let's try looking arou-'

but before the man could finish his sentence he turned around to see a child-like figure sitting on a tatami matt with tea on the table and doing a seiza, the figure looked to be a 7-year-old boy with white hair and was wearing a Black Yukata with white leaf embroidery on the ends and had different colored eyes. on the left eye having the color of a Vibrant and Lively Green while the right had a Beautiful yet Ominous Purple.

'is that a god?'

"I am a god, mortal child"

'I see, so I'm dead'

"Indeed you are"

the god replied to help confirm the mortal's questions.

'Who are you?'

"I'm God"

'no, who are you specifically'

"Hmmm, before I answer your question why don't you come and sit down" said the god while gesturing his hand in front of him

'ok, but how do I move?' said the slightly annoyed Man.

"just move with the intent to move"

'intent to move?' the man said in confusion.

"yes, imagine walking forward but without the walking part"

'alright, I'll try it' The man then proceeded to move forward and went towards the Deity and sat down on the tatami mat.

"yes like that, now then..." the Deity then took a sip of tea while gesturing his hand forward "Why don't you have some tea?" the Deity said.

'yes, thank you' the man said while taking a sip of tea.

"Now then, Let me Properly introduce myself. I am the God of Life and Death Shin Shi or Shin for short".

My name is Mochizuki Satou, I'm 16 years old and in junior high school. one day I died. I know, a bit anticlimactic right? well, that's just how it is. how did I die? well, it basically went like this when I was heading home from school. (IMG)

Yep, that's how it happened. Of all the possible ways to die, I had to die in the weirdest way possible, I mean couldn't you have just ram me like normal? I mean, why transform into a robot just to punch me to death when you could've just ran me over? anyway, that's how I died. the last thing I remember was sleeping and... drifting? anyway, after a while, I woke up to find myself in a vast and endless void. this place seemed dark, endless, and cold, but somehow comfortable, like my room with the AC on and Lights off.

"Where am I? Am I dead? if so, is this the afterlife?" I thought so while looking in front of me "This place... am I dead? or am I dreaming?" I wondered. but before I could fully check my surroundings I turned around to see a child. this child seemed odd, as he was wearing a Black Yukata with some simple white leaf embroidery on it. he had two different colored eyes, one green, and one purple. and he had pure white silky hair. I then proceeded to have a conversation with The God and asked him some questions, apparently his name is Shin Shi, or Shin for short. It seems he's planning to Reincarnate me in a Random world with abilities of my choosing, tho, he said they won't be OP since I am already impressive myself he said.

"So ill get to reincarnate huh...." I said while confirming with Shin.

"Yes, you'll Reincarnate in a random world but you'll get to choose your abilities. you'll get 1 normal ability, although they can't be too strong at their early stages, you'll also be able to gain 1 cheat ability" Shin said while sipping his tea.

"Then, can I at least know what world I'll get to reincarnate to?" I asked.

"It's not random if you know where you'll go now is it?" Shin said with a look of questioning.

"I see... can I at least get a hint? after all, I don't want to get reincarnated into a world like, The one that shall not be named" I said in an ominous voice with a terrified and disgusted face.

"hm? Pfft!!! ahahaha! no, no! Of course not!" the god mused.

"you don't have to worry, the world you'll reincarnate into will be very familiar to you. now then, for your abilities, what would you like?" Shin asked.

"hmmm, then for my normal ability, I want the simple Healing Magic of a certain Berserk Healer, as for my cheat ability-" but before I could continue my request Shin cut me off.

"Ah, before that, you can't choose your cheat ability, I know I said you can choose your abilities, but not the cheats, it seems there are some restrictions as to what kind of abilities you can use in that world, but don't worry I won't give you a crappy cheat ability, also, for compensation, I'll give you a system to keep track of your stats and a little surprise. sorry for the inconvenience" Shin Apologized while bowing slightly.

"Oh, it's alright, please raise your head, I'm already happy enough that I get to reincarnate to another world with cheats, and you seem like a good and sensible person so I won't question it" I said so while trying to assure Shin that it was alright.

"Thank you for your understanding," Shin said so.

"Now then..." Shin then waved his hand to his right.

At that moment a Black Portal appeared on the left side of the table from where I was facing.

"It's time for you to go, although it will be a tough Journey, I assure you everything will go smoothly (I hope)" Shin said with a smile, while internally worrying with and unsure and unreliable look.

"I see, thank you for everything Shin-Sama" I said so while unaware of the God's carelessness.

"Ah, wait, before I go, what was up with that Tru-"

But before I could finish my sentence, I was kicked through the Portal and Felt as though I was drifting to sleep once more. My soul then began a Journey through a dimension beyond comprehension.

Holy hell, that was a headache, finally finished this chap, as for the others, I'll mass-release them when I fully, FULLY, recover. yep still writing this with a headache, anyway hope you guy's enjoyed this, albeit incomplete, but now complete chap, next chaps, yes, Chapters, I'm planning a mass release of this in a month or so, will be the beginning, and we will not directly head to the Canon part of Danmachi but will cover his Childhood etc etc. anyway that's all and G'night! zzzzzZZZZZ.
