26 Chapter 26

Within a few moments our food was out, and were were able to enjoy it. Smiles on our faces as we celebrated my level up. We didn't talk about it in the store but we knew why we're here. The news would be revealed anyway after the denatus next week.

The food was genuinely good. No wonder civilians and adventurers come here to eat and drink despite the restaurant steep prices.

"Did you both enjoy your meal" I asked both Bahamut and Lili.

"Yes, Draco nii" Lili said which earned her a head pat.

"Mmm, it's as good as the meals you make for us, what about yours?" Bahamut said to which I smiled at.

"It was delicious, just that the portions were a bit small for me" I replied. As I grew older my appetite increased drastically, but it's was manageable. After my level up it seems to have increased by a substantial amount.

I knew my metabolism and internal structure was somewhat different for a normal human but this was insane. The food portions served here were humongous and yet here I was still feeling hungry. I was about to order more before I heard a voice from behind me.

"Oh, I'm glad you liked it" a voice spoke from behind me. Turning around I found myself starring at Syr.

"Sorry I overheard your conversation while cleaning a nearby table. I was surprised to know you cooked. Ah forgive my manners my name is Syr. I didn't introduce myself earlier" she said with an innocent looking face.

"Hmm, nice to formally meet you Syr, can you get me another serving of the dish I ordered before along with some water and deserts for the ladies" I said hoping to chase her away for a while.

"Ok, I will bring it over in a few minutes" she said while smiling. She was about to leave but turned and said something.

"Oh, since I heard you could cook, would you like to try working here for a bit. We are a bit under staffed" she said.

"Thanks for the offer but I am an adventurer, so I will be in the dungeon for most of the time. When I have a break, I could drop by to help if that's ok". I replied. As much as I didn't want to get involved with her now, she would find a way to do so.

Even if my goddess could one shot her anytime, she wasn't allowed to do so in the mortal world. The Freya familia was strong and having them as my enemy would be horrible, especially since ottar would be level 7 soon.

"Syr nya, what are you doing with my customers?". Anya asked as she came to our table.

"Draco here can cook, I was just seeing if he could help solve our staff problem, Oh and he wants another serving" she said while smiling.

"Oh ok" said Anya.

Later my second serving came to which I enjoyed till Syr and Anya came again.

"Thank you for the meal, it was delicious" I said. Lili and Bahamut said the same.

"That's great nya, please come back again" Anya said as we paid the ridiculously expensive bill.

"Don't forget what you promised" Syr said to which I nodded to as we exited the store.

I walked home with Bahamut and Lili without putting on my hoodie as I finally felt free. I would have to drop by the hostess of fertility from time to time lest Freya does something crazy to get me there.

*A week later*

Denatus is to be held today and many things have happened this past week. News of a dragon kin in Orario had spread earnings mixed reactions. I also got to test out my grimoire's new capabilities. I could now draw two elemental runes at once which drained mind faster but meant I could have two elemental effects at once.

Sadly I couldn't combine the elemental runes to create a new one nor did I unlock the secondary elemental runes.

I was still satisfied and just needed to level up to gain more features in my grimoire. I also changed my mind and took Lili to the dungeon, I have been giving her live combat tests and experience on the first floor.

I always had my wind tracking spell active in case we got ambushed. I also stopped wearing my cloak hoodie in the city and in the dungeon.

Today, I was currently helping Bahamut pick a dress for Denatus. The gods were assembling in the sacred chamber used to hold meetings between themselves every three months.

"Is this colour better or this one" said Bahamut as she wanted to look good for the meeting. She now had a familia and was going to brag absolutely it to the other gods.

"The one on the left is better" I said as the colour that matched her silver hair and scales was navy blue.

After she chose her outing attire, we departed but not before warning Lili to lock the house and not let anyone in besides us. Bahamut wanted to go with Hephaestus so we went to the Hephaestus manor first before going to the Babel tower along with Hephaestus and Tsubaki.

Bahamut and Hephaestus entered the temple of the gods to join the Denatus meeting. The appearance of two odd balls together wasn't strange but it didn't stop some gods from looking and approaching them.

As the meeting started the gods discussed taxes, evilus attacks and logistics along with assembling expeditions to collect specific materials and escort those with the necessary skills to find them in the dungeon. Next was the talk about those who levelled up. Draco's name and level time soon came up.

"Bahamut congratulations on both having a dragon kin who is also the new record holder for advancing to level 2. You have a rare race and talent in your hands" Freya said while smiling.

All the gods could hear the underlying tone in her words 'he might decide to come to me on his own so keep him close' as they all knew Freya's personally well. Bahamut's just let out a small chuckle as web like cracks appeared on her seat.

Bahamut was as strong as a level 3 physically without her Arcana. The atmosphere was tense as it seemed things were going to escalate quickly till a voice stopped it.

"Enough" said Ouranus. Bahamut briefly glanced at him but still continued emitting bloodlust.

"Calm down Bahamut, don't do anything crazy here" said Hephaestus as she was aware of what Bahamut could do. The other gods knew but didn't want to stick their heads in a battle between Freya and Bahamut.

Bahamut soon calmed down and smiled at Freya to which she smiled back. This looked scary to many as these two crazy goddesses looked like they were about to fight earlier. Hephaestus being the one to mediate the conflict helped the meeting proceeded normally till the silent Loki started talking.

"Hmmf, so what if you have a talented dragon kin. He still can't compare to my Ais of course but it's good to see you have a familia member after that crazy bitch rampage" Loki said.

"Hmmf, my Draco can beat your Ais or whatever anytime Pettanko" said Bahamut in retaliation while glosssing over Loki's last statement.

"What did you just call me" said Loki enraged as she hated that she had a flat chest.

"You Lizard Chibi pettanko, you barely have anything too what right do you have to brag" said Loki.

"Well at least mine and Hestia's bigger than yours" said Bahamut which further enraged Loki as she was enemies with Hestia too because of her ridiculously large chest despite her small stature. Some gods had to mediate the situation to continue the meeting and pick Aliases for their children.

"For Draco I suggest Lizard warrior " said Loki while smiling smugly at Bahamut. The meeting became rowdy as Bahamut was enraged by Loki's remark. The meeting went on and aliases were picked for different adventurers and Draco ended up with "Black hunter".

This was his old nickname as he always wore a black cloak while in the dungeon saving adventurers and hunting monsters in the upper floors.
