Gongsun Clan

The Gongsun clan is one of the three clans of the Starmoon Hall, with the family having a supreme elder with peak Martial King level cultivation and two elders being late-stage Martial King level, which gave the clan some power regarding the decision-making of Starmoon Hall.

Gongsun Yikong, the clan head of the Gongsun clan, has come today with his grandchildren to meet with his old friend Cang Wuya. Both supreme elders during their youth had joined Starmoon Hall, and they often used to compete with each other for the chief disciple role, but in the end, Cang Wuya got his fortune by being the disciple of Fei Mingzi and defeated his old rival.

Gongsun Yikong wanted to foster friendship between his grandchildren and Fei Chen. He had heard of his accomplishments in martial arts since Fei Chen had started cultivating. He has a very straightforward character and is loyal to Heavenly Palace. That's why Cang Wuya didn't hold back when talking about his grandson's genius in front of him, leading to this situation.

Gongsun Yikong's hair was half white, with only a few locks of black hair, making one wonder if his youth was being restored. The old man was calm and collected. Both the children greeted Cang Wuya with a respectful salute,

"Gongsun Jianyun greets supreme elder Cang"

"Gongsun Jianwu greets supreme elder Cang"

Cang Wuya gave a friendly nod to both of them, accepting the greeting. After which, they all sat at the table, seeing that Cang Wuya's grandson was not present, Gongsun Yikong asked him about Fei Chen,

"Old Cang, where is your grandson, you have been bragging about him all day, don't tell me he will not be here?"

"Hahaha, what are you so impatient for, he will be here in a minute."

Gongsun Yikong just grunted in acknowledgment and didn't speak further, enjoying his tea instead.

Fei Chen had arrived at Cang Wuya's courtyard. He entered through the front door and saw his grandfather sitting with an elderly man and two children around his age.

Cang Wuya smiled mildly at his old friend's accusation.

Reaching the training yard he turned to face the duo, looking at their faces he realized that they were waiting for him to start a conversation, he just smiled slightly,

"Hmm, let me introduce myself again. My name is Fei Chen and I am 7 years old. I have reached the martial warrior realm in my cultivation. what about you two?"

Fei Chen didn't tell them about his actual cultivation as his great-grandfather and told him not to, he knew this was to prevent any leak of information about him to Fei Mingzi's enemies.

Hearing Fei Chen introduce himself again in detail they also introduced themselves, the little boy introduced himself first, his tone being a bit arrogant and smug after he realized that Fei Chen was younger than him and had lower cultivation than him, as with Fei Chen's cultivation he could easily be mistaken for a nine-year-old.

"My name is Gongsun Jianyun and I am nine years old. I have reached the martial commander realm, since you are younger than me you should call me big brother Jianyun."

There was an idiotic smirk on his face after introducing him, to which Fei Chen could only deadpan,

Fei Chen just nodded and turned to the girl, who was giggling while looking at their conversation,

"My name is Gongsun Jianwu but Little brother Chen can just call me Jie Jie and I am also nine years old as for my cultivation, I am in the late stage of the martial commander realm."

Fei Chen raised his brows a bit at her introduction, compared to her brother she sounded way more mature and polite. Fei Chen nodded his head at her and entirely ignored the brat, after hearing Gongsun Jianyun's reply he discarded his idea of talking about martial arts with them.

"Let me show you the koi fish pond in my courtyard."

Asking them to follow Fei Chen showed them around his courtyard. After giving both of them a tour of the compound he returned to Cang Wuya's courtyard, where he saw both his grandfather and Gongsun Yikong laughing and chatting.

"Oh, Chen'er, did you show them around?"

"Yes, grandfather."

During their tour, he talked to Gongsun Jianwu mostly about their hobbies and their favorite foods, etc. He found out that her favorite hobby was calligraphy, and her grandfather had hired a tutor for her since she was five years old. Gongsun Jianyun on the other hand just kept talking about how he will become the patriarch of Heavenly Palace and become the strongest expert of the Greencloud continent, Fei Chen could only nod and give perfunctory replies to that.

Gongsun Yikong looked at the three children and was satisfied with their development, turning to face Cang Wuya he nodded with a happy smile on his face.

"Hmm, old Cang, I will take my leave then."

Cang Wuya and Fei Chen watched as the Gongsun family members left. Fei Chen also left for his courtyard after having a small talk about his cultivation with Cang Wuya.
